Popped in for a drink to meet some family.
Is not really to my liking as I'm a bit of a simple guy and this place is rather classy and upmarket.
If you like being in expensive surroundings then you'll love this place, but I just felt a bit uncomfortable.
The bar and the restaurant next to it have a lovely Vista over the park and the service is great.
Beware that eating in the restaurant will cost you a fair bit of money.
The drinks in the bar were bad enough and the wedges that cost $14 were served in a stainless steel container about the size of a coffee mug.
There's nothing really wrong here I just felt out of place and thought it was extremely expensive, but it is a high class hotel with great service so I guess that's what you'd expect.

Personal service and people are second to none! You guys really took care of us, thank you! Not sure if we could have asked for a much better central location near Hyde Park. We were able to jog right from the front door into the park and to botanic gardens to the wharf and opera house. Really my only gripe is that after a fairly large remodel you STILL need to replace the old bed and old toilet in our room. We were well located on the 17th floor far from the elevator, plenty of extra towels, but.....there was a service elevator very near. This was less of a distraction however, the old bed actually effected our sleep for a few days I think. But thank you guys for the high level of service and making us feel almost immediately at home. We look forward to returning to Sydney!

Booked a table for their seafood buffet and I have to say, it was amazing. Their seafood was delicious (and I especially loved the oysters). The atmosphere and service was of high quality and I would definitely recommend going again!

Rejuvenation day spa is fantastic! I purchased the you me and high tea package for my partners birthday on Monday 20/08 and we both were happily satisfied with the experience. The ladies and gentlemen we had instantly made us feel at ease from the moment we walked into reception, to the massages (pretty bloody phenomenal massage), to the high tea in the lounge (so much food). Amazing value for money and I highly recommend this to anyone. It felt like it was my birthday too :)
P.S: To Tan (waiter at the Sheraton lounge) You were an absolute gem of a waiter and I hope this compliment finds you. You capped off our experience with such warm attentiveness making our day all the more special. Thank you.

This experience at the Sheraton has been the best hotel experience that my wife and I have ever had. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the appointments of our room as well as the facilities totally flawless. The decor just is so relaxing and welcoming that it allowed us to feel right at home as soon as we walked in
Do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel whenever you can! The food is also A1! Can't wait to stay there again. Thank you Sheraton Grand!

A great place to stay with spacious rooms. It's centrally located & just 10 mins walk from Sydney Opera house and other downtown locations.
The mattress & pillows are of good quality with good quality FCU's, so not alot of AC fan noise. The only thing lacking is the lack of universal A.C sockets, as only Aussie electric sockets are available except in the Bathroom. The USB charging points are a good option for the electronic devices.
Located near St. James train station, it's a great place to stay.

Absolutely incredible stay at this hotel. I enjoyed the room overlooking the park and the amenities provided. Truth be told this is probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at and it was definitely worth the visit. If I had the money I would most certainly go back. The staff were extremely pleasant and everyone was so friendly. Thank you!

Exceeded my expectations! The main reason we chose this hotel was for the location ~ close to train, literally next to Westfield, David Jones, Hyde Park, Sydney Tower, 2 min walk to Pitt Street Mall etc. However everything else was excellent, the front reception service especially! So friendly and helpful. The hotel room was large and the king bed was super comfy!

Also loved the bath, big bathroom and walk in wardrobe. They also provided bath salts when requested. I love my baths so that was a big plus!

The rooftop pool has an amazing view of Hyde Park and the city. The Sydney Tower is literally above us, that s how close we were to it.

I d stay here again next time I m in Sydney!

It is well situated, across from Hyde Park and close to town hall, with bus stops in front of them. the overall vibe of the hotel is quite nice and fancy and the restaurant (the buffet) was pretty decent with a good selection of seafood. the lobsters on the day were very nice

I did not stay here but i did attend a high tea event

The high tea

The service was ok I felt like because i wasnt a guest of the hotel, that I was looked down on
Compared to other guest,
All the male staff seemed very nice and happily awnsered my questions about other high tea events and extra order of tea

we ordered our high tea but it was deliver to other people me and my partner assumed staying in the hotel so we had to continue to wait

The subtle hand signals from a male matradee to his cohort host first brought my attention to the mix up

The second was being told for no reason that our high tea was delayed because the chef randomly had to make our savoury treats again
Felt odd a staff blaming a chef it would of been nicer to just apologise for the delay and continue on with the meal

The food

The food was good
Some treats had been odd to me.. some to my partner but over all it was an ok experience
We went durring a weekday

The male staff members was very helpful with extra information

Aparently
On the weekend I was told about 2 buffets styles high tea they have one including a selection of cheeses and wine and one a wider selection of high tea Petite Ford style treats
I have not check this information out but I am aware of a buffet style format on weekends

The service

Ok so I maybe alittle critical on the staff because I expect good service from a top tier establishment

the female (sorry About using gender but i did not catch names) staff signed us in wasnt rude but it felt very blunt maybe its because I booked via a groupon
I understand its her job to help guest and that she maybe helping 100s of people per day but a smile goes along way to making guest feel comfortable

She was nice dont get me wrong it was just little pleasantries ive been show befor at lesser quality establishments that was missed

maybe it was just how i was dressed
I'm not a 5 star fashion or business dressed style person
But I do frequent really expensive places in Kmart style button ups because the reactions you get genraly tells you alot about service

The other 2 staff both male (sorry about using gender but i did not catch names)

Both was very friendly one even asked me about my day engaged me in a small conversation . And even wished my partner a happy birthday when he found out

As for our bottomless wine. It was very hard to get more then 5 glass refills in 2 hours due to staff being busy or focused on other tasks some times it felt like staff was sparce

The staff very kindly talked about everything we had on our high tea stand. And very politely told us to order scone at our pleasure

The selection offered to many moose style cakes for my liking but my partner liked all of them

At 1 and half hours in to service we was told our service would end promptly in the half hour
Small tactics like getting the high tea stand. And used plates that made me feel alittle rushed to evacuate seating despite a plethora of other seating still avalible

I actualy wanted to order something at the end but felt out of place to do so

The dining area
Like all upper class dining. Sometimes the seating is to casual, with lounge chair sitting at extended length from tables, due to functionality giving way to luxury
I think better designed chairs could be sourced but other then that I liked it.

The toilets emaculate the 3 inch slab of malble holding up spare toilet roll cudos

The tables was far enough spaced so it felt like you could have private conversations

Would I go again
Yes

Reason being
I enjoyed the food
The staff was ok . Some tried some didnt but the food was good for what it is. All be it a little expensive and could be better it was still quality treats and a good atmosphere for a resturant

We really loved staying in this hotel for a long weekend. The hotel is located near the train station, Westfield shopping centre and park. The room is very clean, newly renovated and had a huge bathroom. It has high end facilities, two restaurants and a bar. We did enjoy a number of drinks at the bar but the food was just average for the price. I highly recommend this hotel for a short getaway.

Nice hotel, easy check in with great service. The rooms were clean, I was particularly impressed with how spacious the room and bathroom was.

Park view room had a nice view of Hyde Park. This stay was much better than expected and the style of the room certainly lives up to the impressive lobby design.

Close proximity to multiple train stations, very close to Pitt St Mall, overall a great location.

Would definitely stay here again.

Teddy is a bell boy at the Sheraton on the park and he is extremely rude. He verbally abused me as I was picking up my daughter. When asked for his name he told me I can happily put a complaint in . So here it is, and I will be putting it all over social media and telling people not to return to the Sheraton. This is extremely disappointing considering my family are regular guests at the hotel and eat at the buffet all the time. I will no longer be returning.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the Sheraton Hyde Park. The hotel was at an excellent location - next to the Hyde Park and a short (and pleasant) walk to the botanic garden and opera. I particularly enjoyed the saunas - both the dry and steam saunas (the latter had a very pleasant aroma, unlikely many other public steam saunas). Lounge access and breakfast was complementary for us (Titanium Members). The lounge food was very good and plenty (especially if you like seafood) and the bar selection (also complimentary) was great. Service was outstanding and Daan always welcomed us by name after our first visit. The true highlight of the hotel was the breakfast. I am traveling a lot for work and I have to say that the breakfast at this hotel was one of the best (if not the best) wrt selection, quality, and service. Vincent was very friendly and always gave recommendations regarding places to visit or a nice chat about life. We can recommend this hotel highly!
