I worked nearby for years until I finally stayed there for a girl's night out and I literally got sent to three different rooms before settling in the fourth. Each of the previous rooms had issues, like jelly on the ceiling or the beds being dirty, which was surprising considering the Sheraton name. I'd recommend being very specific when booking as each room varies in decor, tower (separate elevators) and especially in size.

Be careful! They automatically charge your bill for the food you even don't eat in the mini-bar. I called back to the billing department of hotel. There are always no answering. I leave the voice mail with my phone number and question. But I never hear back!!!
Fully renovated. Nice and elegant room, clean and well decorated. helpful staff, perfect location for midtown visitors (Moma is 3 minutes walk, Central park 5, theaters 10-15 minutes). Small bathroom and you'll likely prefer to eat outside. We will return.
The thing is we didn't stay! We had an unfortunate unforeseen surgery that needed to be performed. There was a $200 nonrefundable deposit which the hotel granted my family a waiver on. The actions of the hotel in this situation was extremely helpful, and once my family member heals we will be making a new reservation to come and stay.
It s ok nothing spectacular about it, beds are kinda hard and I think rooms are pretty small for families especially if you have kids. Bathroom doesn t have vent and the shared door in between the rooms doesn t block much noise from your neighbor , The view was good though.
The rooms are a bit small but not too bad. The biggest issue they have are the elevators and the staff. Elevators use a system where you select your floor and it tells you what elevator to use - takes forever. The staff was half helpful half rude. Kind of hit or miss
Great place to have a conference, but I don't think they were 100% prepared for 7,000 art teachers to show up. Rooms are very expensive for what you get, but the meeting rooms were decent.
This was my second visit to the Sheraton Times Square. It's a huge hotel within walking distance to Times Sq, Central Park, Rockefella so it's in a great location. Nice lobby area but there can be queues to check in. Try and get a room on a high floor as these seem to be renovated and pretty quiet. Nice comfy beds & Starbucks coffee sachets available in rooms.
Only downside on this visit was that the room seemed smaller and the cleanliness of the room wasn't as good as previously. Having said that, would stay again for the location and quiet room.
I would say this hotel is great i would have given it a five star except for some of their staff that is rude otherwise the place is clean renovated rooms very central 3 min walk to times square.
Perfectly run. Clean, excellent service, rooms are exactly what you'd expect. The lounge is amazing, lovely for a quick breakfast or an evening bite. The location is stellar! Walked to Times Square, taxi are easily available and Uber can find you without an issue.
All service except the front desk is incredibly slow. Rooms are small and hot no matter what temperature you set the thermostat at. TV barely works, it cuts in and out and doesn t have signal half the time. Elevators are some of the slowest I ve been in, be sure to set aside 10 minutes extra to get wherever you re going. Sheraton Club breakfast is below average and the hors d oeuvres were lacking. The only positives I could find were that the gym has a rowing machine (pretty uncommon), and the front desk people were nice.
The location is great. To comment on Turkish people, breakfast is mediocre. Rooms can be clean but small. I am not looking for Turkish towels. I think the bathrooms are problematic. The hotel is constantly busy. The elevators are extremely fast.
Very nice hotel. Greatviews from the room we had. Our room was a double bed on the 38th floor. It was a bit small but they use the space well. 2 small closets. Mini bar in room. (There is a sensor so they know if you take anything out. Even if it was just to see whats in it) hotel did not charge us once we told them that. Beds in the double bed rooms are a little bit small for 2 people but it is doable and still very comfortable. Good sized bathrooms with lots of counter space. Very nice TVs in rooms. There is a bar in the lobby but we never went to it. Looked very nice though. Hotel is also very close to time square, subway stations, and within walking distance to central park. We had a very nice time here and would definately stay again. The rooms were also very neat and clean.
Takes and hour and a half to check in. Then upon getting the room, the bathroom was dirty and smelled like urine. The it took an hour for them to move me. Every other night there s a party on one of the adjacent rooms. The walls are paper thin, and security won t tell people to be quiet. The restaurant sucks the food is horrible. Keys expire early and it takes 30 mins to get new ones. This place sucks and I can t say enough bad things about it
Nice view of the city, nice staff, expensive hotel. No continental breakfast. Nothing super amazing about the rooms. Our plastic Starbucks cups were thrown away by housekeeping.
Decent size rooms with reasonable prices for new York. Location was great for walking to various things such as times square, broadway plays, comedy clubs and shopping.
Very good location to go for a walk or move by subway. Comfortable, spacious room for Manhattan measurements. Very clean. Excellent continental breakfast. Wi fi free in the lobby. In the rooms but not hooked. Very good attention. A pleasure
Superior hotel in the absolute center of Manhattan. Very large hotel, therefore many rooms and guests. So the reception staff was polite but in a routine atmosphere. The room was clean and nice, directed to a side street of the 7th avenue and not noisy but with a view to the sky scratchers of Manhattan. Bathroom was clean although the tub has seen better days. That additional costs are rather expensive is assumable with that hotel category. For a trip to New York certainly one of the best locations.
Big beautiful lobby, and the room was pretty nice. The club access allowed us snacks and breakfast, which as really nice. The pillows in our room were terrible, but the bed was comfortable.
Nice hotel in convenient, Times Square location. Like all NYC hotels, the rooms are tight but comfortable. Only complaints are slow internet and plugs on the lamps are worn out.
The Sheraton Times Square New York the management staff at least one of the management staff I fell in my opinion was racist so I would never stay at that hotel again
Stayed in the hotel for one night on the 11th December. My husband is a platinum elite and always traveling for work. Since my parents were visiting for christmas we decided to visit NYC to experience the holiday cheer. As soon as we arrived in the hotel to check in I'd say we felt the most unwelcome. While we were allowed to check in early I was told I could not access the lounge facility until the platinum member arrived which was not until the end of day. Ofcourse my husband was in the city for work. Upon enquiring further about the policy since i this was the first time I heard about it I was then told the lounge is extremely busy presently. To say the check in left a sour taste in my mouth early in the day is an understatement. The check in lady who was nicely smiling and chatting up the caucasian client before us had not a single smile in her face for us. However, the experience in the lounge next day left me in tears. Myself and my parents visited the lounge for breakfast today early morning. Once we entered the lounge the lady at the front desk, Charlotte maclean, neither greeted or presented us with good morning. Instead she said, one minute, how many rooms have you booked. I gave her my room number and continues to say, so you paid only for one room. Only one person is allowed access and the others will not be able to use the lounge. I enquired what the policies since there were like 8 people around us and it is so humiliating to be questioned like so. My husband hardly ever uses the lounge on his travels and ofcourse he works hard so what's wrong in wanting his family to enjoy some comforts. Again not that we were going towipe off thebreakfast spread since we don't have tolerance for meat in our palate. I do not also mind paying for the extra guests but to think the sheraton marriott brand offers you a level of courteous service is a HUGE MISTAKE. By the time I left the lounge i was in tears and so upset. This made us feel so unwelcome in the hotel and my parents who are senior citizens were also upset. This experience has left a distaste which is so bitter I could continue to say the hotel staff is unapologetically racist, profiles their clients top to bottom before greeting them and it's a shame they get away with this blatantly. I've witnessed first Hand their courtesies to the other guests attending a conference in the hotel and the manner in which we were treated. Had I been in my corporate consulting persona yesterday I believe all the niceties would have been given to me as well. But maybe not at all.
But you know what that's not how you treat humans. SHERATON get some human touch and not labor workers to do the job. We have 1000$+ for 2 nights and deserve better.
