I was debating if going or not to this event, because in the morning of the event, I received an early email, which told me that, I got in, and got off the waiting list. I am glad that I went to it.
It good seeing some familiar face in the yelp events but it also great meeting new people, that is yelp is all about, meeting new people and having fun with the same or similar taste of food.
The drink: I drank the Whiskey Smash all night a buffalo trace whiskey with organic sugar, a bit cinnamon, some ginger and laphroaig mist, I am big fan of whiskey so I feel comfortable with this drink and I like it a lot.
The Food: They had had a lot of food hand, in which I can highlight the following grilled cheese sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, breakfast burger, beef chili, pizza and fish tacos. I really enjoyed all of the delicious food that there.
Thanks to Sara, the rest of the yelp team and the great staff of Jack Austin for this great event.
Had a great 2 day stay here. City view was awesome, room was clean and spacious, front desk was very helpful and friendly. The Lincoln Tunnel ferry is literally right outside the door, convenient for going into Manhattan.
Hotel is a bit busy at times, lots going on and a prime location. Upscale dining across the street and plenty of hotel parking, for a charge of course. Will definitely stay here again.
Rooms are spacious and in good standard
The hotel is a bit old standard
The hotel should offer free transport with the ferry into Manhattan
Excellent motel by Hudson River amazing view evening time will be spot whenever visit my to my sister in Hoboken
Firstly, the room had no refrigerator. It was first time for us to experience no refrigerator. Also, the staff gave us the room where cleaning was not over. So, we had to go back to the front with so many packages. After checking in with another room, there was not a bathtub. We have a little son, so we asked there was another room that had a bathtub. Then the front staff said "I don't know which room had a bathtub. No room left. So, we could not change your room". No good service here we experienced. In this room, also, only one coffee pack. It meant that no checking after cleaning. We never use this hotel again and we could not recommend this hotel.
Bed was comfy, view was great. Easy access to the ferry outside. Service was great too. Had some trouble checking in but they worked with us and got it. As a result we got free parking. Definitely will stay here on my next trip.
Great location with an awesome view of downtown NYC. But you have to pay for EVERYTHING!!
Would not come back for the price that we paid. Hotel needs an overall upgrade in terms of decor and layout! However, the staff was generally friendly and you can't beat the location. There's a convenient ferry that shuttles you to New York right out front.
Note for families: parking, breakfast, and wifi are not free.
View from the city view window is pretty awesome!
Location is convenient to take ferry to Manhattan.
Facilities is a bit older but decent hotel.
I was there for a social event. The room was updated and modern with great views of NYC skyline. I would definitely attend another social event there.
Great place to drop in for a meeting or an overnight stay. Terrific location and views.
Hotel excellent location
Very nice restaurant
Delicious food
Large rooms
It's worth the choice
Nice place. Good staff. Enjoyed the restaurant. Great view.
Just terrible. I ve enjoyed the mice, lack of water pressure, constant odor of smoke, and my neighbor who is right now continuing to scream into his phone. Thank god it s a paper thin wall and a shared door...
We came by at 11:30 am to leave our luggage and go to NYC. We came back at around 9:30 pm to check in finally and our rooms were not ready. For a nicer hotel, they charge you for using the WiFi. Talk about a joke.
There is nothing wrong with the hotel. Good beds, spacious rooms, excellent restaurant (bar) where you can dine and have a drink. Biggest disadvantage is that it is not in Manhattan. What everyone claims that you are at Port Authority Bus Terminal within 7-15min is very unique.
Count on 30 minutes earlier. Especially in the morning when people want to go to work, you may have that the bus is full and have to wait for others, then you drive at walking pace through the Lincoln tunnel.
You can of course take the boat, but it only goes to midtown and from there it is a 20 min walk to Time Square. In short, if you have been in Manhatten and you want to chill in your hotel and then back into the evening, my advice is take a hotel in Manhattan
Staff is great. Rooms are very clean. Bartenders in the lobby bar/eatery make you feel like your cozy corner bar at home. Only issue I had was when booking the room over the phone. I never received a confirmation email. When I arrived room was under another name. They misspelled my name I didn't get the quoted room price. They have an outsourced company that takes the calls for the room. They did take off the parking fee at the hotel, but the quoted price with parking was 30.00 cheaper.
Easiest location to stay on the sole purpose for travelling and exploring New York city, because of the ferry. If you are lucky, you will get a window view of the city and see one moment skyscrapers(specially The One World !) covered in clouds and then it slowly unveils ! And I don't mind the carpark below ! Food was also in good quality and staff was very helpful !
Amazing views of the NY skyline, with easy access to Manhattan via a short bus ride through the Lincoln tunnel. Extremely comfortable beds, pleasant decor and amenities such as spas, free wifi and restaurants at your disposal. Only issue is the cable reception is spotty.
The front desk staff tried to tell me they upgraded me from a King room to a double bed room because they ran out of the King rooms that I reserved. A double room is never an upgrade in my book. The part that upset me the most was that I didn t find out I had been upgraded until I walked into the room. Where was the transparency if this was truly an upgrade ? When I addressed this to the staff member that gave me the room, she started telling me about how they ran out of rooms and how this was standard hotel policy to blind side their guests in ways such as changing and charging the same price for an upgrade without mentioning the need for changes. I mentioned the lack of transparency and the staff member immediately brought me over to her Manager . I put Manager in quotes because the staff member walked over and whispered something to this person and within minutes I had the correct room. No words were exchanged between me and said manager. No introduction. No customer service. I thought there were no more king rooms but suddenly I m given a King room with no apology or explanation for the mixup in the first place. Then the next morning, I call guest services for a request to bring up toothpaste and it took over an hour to get to my room after calling again several times. The next day, guest services did not pick up my phone call not once the entire day despite me calling at different times. The attitude from the staff seemed to be very lethargic and insensitive and dry as opposed to being warm and welcoming. There are also no microwaves or refrigerators to reheat or store leftovers. Very inconvenient.
They showing free wifi on website and all third party websites, but they charge $10 per day when you check out.
I usually don't write reviews, but this hotel really deserved a great one!
The staff was incredibly friendly and addressed every need and question that I had. They really went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great stay. Parking was convenient. There were great views of the city from my room and the room was very spacious, clean, and modern. It was a bargain price to stay here and I'd definitely stay again and recommend to others.
If you are concerned about COVID, I felt very safe and that the room was sanitized, with all towels in a bag you had to tear open that said "sanitized" so you knew that everything was fresh.
Staff was friendly and room was very nice and clean. Great location directly across from Manhattan and the ferry makes it easy to get there
Great place to grab food and a drink with the city view in the background.
We reserve d a specific room and was not available when we arrived
Room was clean and nice. Housekeeping was excellent. Elevators were broken intermittently during our stay. There is absolutely NOTHING to drink (not even a vending machine with soda or water) after their restaurant closed. We had to fill out I've bucket and let it melt in cups to give our kiddos something to drink after returning from a long day in the city.
No breakfast room service. Very dated interiors needing major renovation. No service elevator, so main guest elevators are always busy with cleaning and service crews. Very expensive. Stay here only if you must have the location.
Ferry is right outside the door, can make it to Manhattan in under 10 minutes
Overall hotel was great, checkin staff was not. The entry into the hotel is not clearly marked where the checkin desks are, look to left of elevator and around the corner as u walk inside. The rooms were well maintained, the cost was cheaper than NY by far, plus access to ferry which runs about 9$ each way. Buy tickets inside hotel. The only complaint I had was the noise levels (a few partiers) and the shower pressure. The shower pressure was terrible :/ Two elevators that can get slowed down at times during peak use. Overall 7.5 out of 10.
Some of the best and most helpful staff on the plant. Great location with frequent ferry to Manhattan. But room had a mos smell as witnessed the drier machine running when i entered the room. And lets just say there was a bath room issue.
Called several times over 3 day period, via direct number and via Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel switchboard. Could not get an answer to the calls. Trying to pre order sevvice for a wedding couple. The lack of service took some of the glitter off the wedding expierence. Suggest not using the hotel #SHERATON #SHAME
Then, wedding couple was not allowed to check in as they did not have exact same credit card as reservation was on. Think bride in wedding dress grom in tux, credit cards on hand, forced to wait in lobby till same card was fetched.....horror stay so
stay away
Went to tour this location as a possible wedding venue. Made appointment for a tour more than a week in advance. Showed up the day of appointment and let them know we were there. We were told someone would be with us in 5 minute. 20 minutes later still no-one helped, we asked again. 45 minute later we decided to leave. We followed up after and they basically said oh sorry good luck with your wedding search. waste of time
Rooms were very spacious and clean. Very good views of the city and ferry boat rides right outside the hotel, which was very convenient. Would recommend to a friend.
WARNING STAY FAR AWAY!!!

You will Absolutely have the worse experience ever you can possibly have from start to finish if the Front Desk Manager Lisa is working. She is very disrespectful, rude, unethical and unprofessional. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and would give this establishment ZEROS if I could. Iv been a Manager for over 7 year and never handle myself the way this little girl did. I can t stress how much THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE is important.
Beside the front desk Manager being belligerent, after finally getting into my room there is a spider in the bed running around. So I go back down stairs to Lisa after already having the worse customer experience checking in to ask for a refund and she hands me the company business card and tells me it up to the general manager, I ll need to send an email. So I ask for her name, the GM name and I get the COP called on me. Now that was out of spite and I feel like it was for being back downstairs... at this point I m in shock and concern about my safety as she tells the cops im hostile and stopping her from working.
So I wait for the cops to arrive for them to keep the peace. After explain and showing pictures and a videos to the cops of two pending charger for check-in and a spider running around the bed they said to return in the morning and speak with management.
We stayed at a suite at this Sheraton in Weehawken, this hotel is very outdated! All suites are supposed to have a fridge and microwave but I had to actually call housekeeping to request a fridge and they didn't have microwaves. This was the ugliest Sheraton I've ever stayed and would not recommend it to anyone.
Very clean and a very spacious room. No complaints!
Excellent area to stay, very clean room confortable bed and amazing view. Can t beat the location, waterway just at the door. In less then 7 minutes you re in NYC. Access was easy, just off the highway, and close by a grocery which allows you to get snacks or already prepared food for your journey. Only downside, you have to pay extra to have a mini fridge.
Great location. Staff was very attentive. Tunnel to N.Y. was right there. Great view of the city. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because my executive suite had a private room without A/C. HOT. Other than that, a 5
Good hotel and great location plus views. However, the hotel itself is old. Doesn't even have a microwave for common usage.
Probably the worst Sheraton I got to stay in for a very long time.
First thing I noticed walking in the bathroom was the towel hanger just hanging by one screw and the hair from the maid all over the place in the tub.
Then, the internet or lack thereof. I feel like I went back 20 years using dial up connection for 9.95 really.
And what is up with the awkward size rooms with a giant size living room but a room with two crammed beds and a tiny bathroom. Poor ratio.
When they mean no view ..they really mean in. You have been warned.
At least the ferry is in close proximity as well as decent restaurants.
Magnificent view of the skyline. Ferry pier 100 meters from the hotel
Spacious and comfortable rooms
Extremely helpful front desk staff. Clean room, well appointed. It should be noted that I checked in as a star preferred guest.
Nice view. Convenient location with bus and ferry stop to new York
Easy access to manhattan by boat or bus nice hotel.
The check in was far from good. They couldn't find my reservation made on Expedia even when showing the hotels confirmation number on my confirmation from Expedia. They simply didn't let us check in. Only when I called Expedia and let them talk and send the confirmation by fax they checked us in. What I don't understand that they just let us check in with my creditcard and took care of this issue with Expedia. If it wouldn't check out they could have charge my creditcard and had the cost covered. Now we were in the lobby with our 6 year old son for a while in the evening. The only thing our son wanted was getting to bed.
But it wouldn't be good to let this affect my rating to much. The room itself was very good. Around the hotel there was a ferry to Manhattan, light rail and off course taxis, Uber and Lyft. We used the light rail, Lyft and the ferry.
All in all a good place to stay but customer service isn't too good when something seems to be wrong with your Booking.
Update after about one month staying here they charged my creditcard a few hundred dollars. Contacted the hotel and they told me Expedia wasn't paying for our stay. Contacted Expedia their story was completely different. Even after sending proof of payment and reservation to the hotel ( just like we did on check-in ) there said Expedia told them that Expedia shouldn't have charged me in the first place.
Again contacted Expedia and the hotel told them that they only charged us the ferry trip. That sounded right but I still was charged again. Expedia took the time to contact the hotel again. It was a mix up with three reservation number Expedia told me. I've got one email from the hotel that Expedia was paying them for our stay,??? No formal excuse just a happy email that I would get my money. And the story that Expedia wasn't paying them just don't sound right. Why charge a customer for a conflict between them and Expedia? Why no simple sorry we made a mistake?
After spending a lot of time to correct this and paying for long distance calling not one excuse.
Not something I would expect from such a large hotel chain.
Hotel is perfect for those looking to not spend their time primarily in their room. An Uber away from anything in Hoboken or Jersey City and a water taxi or path train from Chelsea so the location is perfect. I think for the money saved compared to W in Hoboken or Hotels in Chelsea it is worth your stay.
Large rooms but dated and worn. Breakfast is expensive for what it is (tip automatically included on the bill for a buffet?). Staff at Jack Austin's disinterested and slow.
The suite is quite roomy with king size bed inside the bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the outer room. Bedding for the sofa bed must be requested. Other than the sofa, only one chair is available si seating is limited. We started on the second floor and we were waken up middle of the night by garbage collection. Next day we requested to be moved and landed on the tenth floor. The room was quieter and had better view. Speaking about view, the hotel overlooks the Hudson River and provides a spectacular New York skyline.
Wonderful location! Bus stop less than a block away, ferry right outside. Internet is $10 per night and there's no breakfast unless you're a member, or if you want to pay $22 per person for room service breakfast buffet.
Rooms are very dark, halls elevators and reception smell way too strongly of air freshener. You can alsost taste it in your mouth. No free wifi, which is ridiculous at this day and age.
Very pleased with this hotel, check in was easy ! We were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view. The beds and pillows were sooo comfortable! Restaurants food downstairs was great. The kids loved the big pool. The only reason i gave 4 stars instead or 5 is because there was a sewer gas smell in the sink and toiled( worse when we woke up) (not sure if this is normal for NJ/NY or maybe just a problem in the room)the shower was fine though, great water pressure! Also parking is only 25$ per car and you can enter and exit as much as you want which is awesome!! We will definitely be back!!
Beautiful location and a nice sized room. Unfortunately there were problems with the pool reservations and it was not a good experience for my kids.
Big rooms, with big TV, nice sitting area and desk. Close to ferry and short walk to light rail system. Breakfast can be a but chaotic if lots of guests are staying, run out of food quickly so get there early before the rush.
Great location and friendly staff. The view is amazing of Manhattan! Right off the water!
The bathroom smelled aweful, like gases were coming up through the pipes, the bed frame was sticking out and I cut my shin. I called downstairs to advise and nobody ever came or called. VERY disappointed. We come to NJ for a company dinner cruise every year and I will NOT be coming back to stay at this location. I will also be advising my company not to place this location on the list as a recommended hotel for our company event.
Awesome hotel!!!! The staff is super nice and accommodating. The pool is cool. The rooms are very spacious. Jack Austin s is very tasty! And you can take the ferry right outside of the hotel to NYC. There is a bunch of free busses that take you around too! And there is a great view of the city! highly recommend staying here because it is a nice hotel and wayyyyyy cheaper than staying in NYC! ( )
Riverside location, nice room, friendly staff, good bar /restaurant.
The hotel was nice. Only complaint I have was paid for partial view of city. They put us on second floor. At night only building I could see lit up was barely visible through a tree.
Great location, across from Manhattan. Great breakfasts!
Helpful staff and clean rooms that serviced it on time. Great location to catch the bus and go to NY
That view though......Well located hotel within walking distance to many restaurants and the ferry stops right in front. Walk the pathway from Sheraron around the waters edge and visit pat of Hoboken.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. Ask for a higher floor and a room with a view as it does not disappoint. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful also
Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly.
I live in North Jersey, but needed to attend a 3-day conference in the area and have difficulty driving at night, so... Expectations met, but nothing to write home about. Also, I love alone, so I'd be the only one to receive it. Well-meaning, but mostly apathetic, disengaged staff could use motivation. Else fine. Cheers! --JG
The customer service at Sheraton Lincoln Harbour is impeccable. The address you by your name and are knowledgeable about commuting to NYC. They offer assistance if you need dinner reservations to local restaurants. They go out of their way to provide excellent service. Caring, professional and courteous staff. Rooms are clean and ample parking. You will absolutely enjoy your stay here.
Looks like it has grate employees that do a good job keeping up on there job.
