Great location to hit the bars downtown. There was a heat issue in the room but when we checked out and told them about it they credited us $20

I went for a pre-job fair mixer hosted by PennState. The inside of the building is very nice and seemed very clean. I didn't interact with the staff at all so I'm not sure how they are. Overall pleasant experience.

This hotel is a great location downtown and connected to mad mex, which is a state college favorite. The lobby is gorgeous! I could sit and work their for hours. They have a decent sized pool as well.

The Days Inn is adding, but remains a nice place to stay in downtown state college. The location can't be beat - Mad Mex is I'm the lobby and dozens of restaurants and attractions are less than a block away. The rooms are comfortable. The lobby is nicely arranged (and there's a pool!). It's even pet friendly!

Great room, in the middle of town, close to everything! Small but well decorated, comfy bed, clean, very nice common areas. Liked seeing guests' pets!
Sad there was no breakfast, but SC has tons of restaurants. Annoyed with short pool hours and that there was no parking for overnight guests because of an event at the hotel, but it wasn't a deal breaker, especially with the cost of $89 a night.
For that price and the comfort, we'd LOVE to stay longer next time! Hopefully we'll get a similar deal soon!

My family chose this hotel because of its location near the university campus. The room was clean overall. But the front desk staff was really rude and unprofessional. Due to a schedule change we arrived a little earlier than expected. We asked when it would be possible for us to check in but got very rude reply twice. This has been the most unpleasant hotel experience we had in the past ten years. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Very nice hotel in an excellent downtown location, close enough to walk to anything downtown or on campus. Rooms were nice, very clean, and staff was friendly. I will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!

The staff is terrific. The hotel rooms are small but reasonably priced. Best location in town to take advantage of the night life and proximity to campus. It's also attached to a good Mexican restaurant so you can easily hang out there if you don't want to venture too far.

Nice and clean, beds are a little small, but shower is very hot and pressure is phenomenal. Parking is tight but the desk is very helpful and will find you a spot

The pool needs repaired. The lining is lifting from the pool floor in the shallow end. There is a ring of black mold around the pool which is especially bad on the right side. Please take care of your pool!

We weren't able to to check in until 5 because our room was being cleaned, check in time is 3. The room wasn't clean. We booked 2 queen beds, our beds were full not queen size.

Excellent location! Love the main lobby area. Staff is welcoming. They even have chew bones for our furry companions! Really liked having specific parking area. Our room met our expectations. Major disappointment was the inconsiderate group of kids hanging out by the pool without parental guidance. I could not enjoy time with my 3 year olds while worrying about being the one who would have to call for medical help once things got worse.

Clean and warm. Food was pretty good, but the chicken was a little dry. Not sure that you could expect more from a buffet-style lunch. It was pretty good!

Didnt exactly clean the toilet as you can see from the picture other than that not a bad hotel although its definitely overpriced even for the area. Staff seems overwhelmed on football games and cares less about individual customers when they are crowded. Breakfast is not included and for the price it really should be. They give you coupons for breakfast at madmex the restaurant attached to them but if you're paying for breakfast go somewhere else to eat!

In town for my son's graduation. Great location and great service especially from Eliot at the front desk and Brian who made a special delivery of a microwave to our room. Would recommend this location to anyone visiting State College.

As a wheelchair user I found it difficult to navigate their facility. The only have two, yes two handicapped parking spaces which is way below ADA scoping requirements and neither space had access aisles which means they really don't exist. And there is no noticable enforcement of either space evidenced by the two placardless vehicles parked in them for two days. There are only two WC accessible entrances, one on the Pugh St side and the other on the alley side. Neither are even close to code but they're manageable. The carpets are old and plush, so wheeling through the hallways is like pushing over pillows. The carpet is also embedded with grime so be sure to wash your hands OFTEN.
I stayed in room 104 and was pleased to see a true barrier free shower. The commode doesn't meet requirements, but it wasn't the worst room/setup I ever stayed in. Again...the carpet in the room was ugh. (And grimey)
If you're not an independent wheelchair user Im sure the place will work for you- parking sucks though. If you are a wheelchair user you may want to consider a newer hotel, or simply one who cared enough to make the proper upgrades. (Its only been 28 years. Eye-roll)

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting State College. I love the atrium. It brings in the flair of a small town with the restful calm of a babbling brook. Even though there is no breakfast, the complimentary coffee in the lobby, the bottle shop within spitting distance, and easy access to all things State College and Penn State, make it the best spot for your visit. Extra bonus: free and easy parking with your reservation!

I go here regularly for business meetings and am always impressed with the food and the nice interior meeting room section. They also have some of the best hotel coffee I have ever had available all the time in the lobby. There is also always parking even on home football game weekends.

I was staying here at this hotel while visiting mu best friend at Penn State University for about 5 days. The service has been great. Everyday housekeeping makes sure you're comfortable and have everything thing you need. The managers had smiles on their faces and were very accommodating to my friends who also came on this trip. The pool is great as well and everything is very clean.

A little pricey for a days inn, but it was a home football weekend. What can I expect? Very accommodating, very clean and the staff was great. Biggest plus was the Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel. Some of the best food I ve ever had

I left a couple of my personal items at this hotel and they had them secure 3 weeks later when I called AND covered the shipping cost to send it across the country. They also had comfortable beds, good wifi service, and free shuttles to the airport ready whenever you need them.

The Days Inn Penn State allowed my office to host our annual retreat with our new student staff. The accommodations were great, two conference rooms that shared a wall, a nice breakfast spread and afternoon snack, and lunch (served out on the patio) was delicious and fit all of our students allergy and food needs.
