Fantastic place. We could not have been any happier. The staff was absolutely fabulous. The hotel is new. Right on the golf course. Close enough to Penn State and to all the other sites and Happy Valley. I would definitely recommend to anybody who's going to Penn State for a visit or anyting to stay there.

Our wedding day was PERFECT. We initially picked the Days Inn because of the perfect location downtown and the beautiful hall. Little did we know that we would be working with a sales coordinator and banquet manager that would make our day amazing! Cari was the sales coordinator and was amazing from day we met her. She was always so helpful and would get back to me right away if I ever had questions. She thought of all the details that I didn t think of. She was organized, kind and knowledgeable. We got there the day before because we had to set up a lot of stuff ourselves. The banquet manager Julia made sure to take that off of our hands and handled it all for us. The day of the wedding many guests came in earlier than check in time, and the Days Inn did the best to accommodate everyone. The staff was kind enough to hand out goodie bags to all of our guests. The wedding went perfect and Cari was there for me every step of the day. The room looked absolutely beautiful. The banquet staff set up everything as I imagined and even added things that I forgot! The food was delicious, just as it was when we taste tested. I couldn t have asked for a better day and it was all because of Cari and Julia. These two ladies worked tirelessly the day before and the day of my wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Cari, Julia and the rest of the staff at Days Inn Penn State for making our day the best day of our lives! I would HIGHLY recommend the Days Inn for a beautiful reception and a great place to stay!

Great service and friendly staff. I was here for a week of training and never had any issues. The restaurant attached does get busy in the evenings and fills up with college kids. I'd definitely stay again!

Needs a makeover. Close walk to many dining options and bars. Apparently allows pets as we heard a dog barking literally all weekend (early morning and late night) apparently left in the room while owners were out. Not even a continental breakfast offered.

If I could rate this hotel a zero I would. It was probably the worst hotel I have ever set foot in. Old. Outdated. Pretty creepy.

I should have none better the moment I parked my car in their parking garage that it wasn't going to be a good place to rest my head. The parking garage had chunks of paint peeling off and dropping all around the lot.

Walking in the hallway to my room the lighting was dim. The carpet was dark and dingy looking. There was a weird smell in the hallway like old paint and RAID. The doors to the room looked like they had been recently spray painted with black spray paint.

The ceiling in my room had some questionable stains. I did all I could not to really pry any further as I only needed to stay one night and had no choice but to stay here. I made quick glances around and did my best not to focus. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Many newly renovated rooms, very accommodating staff, fair prices, and pet friendly! Parking is free with many covered spots for those wintry overnights. Complementary coffee is actually very good and always fresh. Free WiFi has a strong signal throughout the hotel. I wish there was a continental breakfast, but Mad Mex is off the atrium and their prices are reasonable. Within a 5 minute walk of dozens of hot spots, restaurants, and campus.

If your lucky, you'll get to see the Oscar Mayer Wiener mobile AND the Planter's "Mr. Peanut" mobile parked side-by-side in the lot behind the hotel

Way over priced hotel. You can find much better hotels for a much better price. Can not understand what makes this hotel so great that they can charge so much. I decided to check prices on other days. During the week it is only $93. On a not so busy weekend it was $139. If it is a busy weekend that price more then doubles to $206. Talk about price gouging. I understand a price increase for a busy weekend but that is a bit too much. You better be a 5 star hotel for that much. Go to a cheaper hotel and make it worth your money.

To add to the comment below that you are in line with the other hotels, you are not. We have stayed in State College many times before and only paid half what we paid here at much better hotels. You might want to recheck the pricing of other hotels.

PROS: The hotel staff has been amazing on both of our stays here. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel pool is amazing. The atrium is beautiful. And its pet friendly for an extra $10 a night.
CONS: It's the pandemic right now so they're handing out grab bags for breakfast which are not what my family would consider breakfast. The rooms are a little tight. But hey were a family of 5. There's no microwave in the room either.
All in all it's a nice, clean hotel and a good price.

Great place. This hotel is located in the city centre, very close to everywhere. Room was big and clean. But the coffeemaker needs to be clean. Bed was comfortable. The newspaper delivered to the room every morning. Friendly and helpful staff. I recommended this hotel. Great choice.

Nice room and decent hotel, but the additional guests who travel through to avoid the cold are drunk and annoying at times. Our hotel neighbors were drunk, loud, and going between rooms in our hallway until 4am. I'd love a second chance to have a good stay, but unsure.

The lobby was nice, and the location is pretty good -- downtown and in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. The rooms were clean, but nothing particularly special. I did not check out the amenities at all. On site parking was convenient as well. My only complaint would be that one of the elevators smelled like urine; most likely a victim of undergraduate life.

Favorite hotel to stay at in State College. Room is always cleaned and walls aren't paper thin. They do allow pets for an extra fee. It's in downtown so it's pretty close to a lot of the bars.

I like the hotel it self but I m upset the fact there is a coffee maker in the room but no bottled water and when I went to go ask for water they charged me $1 for it. What is this motel 6 that is suppose to b cheap and no water but I m paying a good amount of money for a week to Stay here and have to pay for the water never had to pay for water in any hotel I stayed at before but idk very disappointed

Superb service from top to bottom! The earlier one star review was nothing more than my clumsy fingers mistakenly submitting the wrong information. I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone!!

Decent hotel that worked for a quick one-night stay. I would stay here again if they stay at their current price point relative to other hotels.

Pros:
- Convenient location downtown (only a few minutes walk to campus)
- Free parking
- Reasonable price relative to other downtown hotels
- Friendly staff

Cons:
- No breakfast provided (attached to Mad Mex, which isn't a great idea for breakfast)
- Very thin walls. I could clearly hear conversations going on in adjacent rooms.
- I could not get the Wi-Fi to work on either my phone or laptop. Normally, I'd say this was user error, but others experienced the same thing.

Best hotel in State College. Closest to the important parts of town (better than being down by Atherton and College) good bottle shop attached, and Mad Mex is a great restaurant for a hotel.

Quiet hotel. Parking garage type set up for parking. So pretty on the inside! Pool is great, but floor is soft. Water was colder than air temperatures, which I wasn't anticipating. But you got used to it. We ordered room service at Mexican restaurant that connects to hotel. It was AMAZING and prices were extremely reasonable. Yum!
