Nice lobby area, pool and location. The staff was also extremely warm and welcoming. However, our room smelled when the AC ran, most likely because the vent was dirty and moldy. The sink was cramped with nowhere to hang hand towels and barely any counter space for a bar of soap, let alone toiletries. The water would go cold then hot randomly during showers, and the handle of the door separating it from the sink area locked from the outside--a safety hazard, I'm sure. The window in the hallway of our floor faced the front of the hotel and its smoking area. It was open as we made our way to our room after checking in and had made the floor reek of smoke.

Beautiful Hotel. Great Atrium. Lovely indoor pool. I wish I brought a bathing suit. The only bad thing; the morning I was leaving the shower head was tight and shot water on the floor. The shower drain was broken and the water was rising in the tub. Other than that it is a lovely place. I would go back and have a first floor room because of my health.

Days Inn Penn State housekeeper Cheyenne H. Went above and beyond the call of duty to make my visit as comfortable and clean as it possibly could. She definitely needs recognized for her outstanding service and hard work.

Not cheap, and their reservation/cancellation policy sucks. You pay for the room regardless of if you have an issue and need to cancel. The room is a standard hotel room, nothing fancy. Right in the middle of town, so mostly convenient if you want to get some shopping done or visit with students.

Downtown location is great, everything in town is within walki distance. The hotel was renovated and updated a couple of years ago but it's still an older property that doesn't offer the amenities of newer, more modern hotels. It's probably a bit overpriced for what you get but as the old saying goes - location , location, location.

Hotel was great, we stayed one night and brought our dog. Having a dog friendly hotel was very convenient and there was no pet- smell that oftentimes accompanies this situation. WiFi was stable, public areas were clean and we'll lit, the quiet atrium is a very nice touch in an otherwise noisy college town. Parking is free and staff were all friendly, especially with the dog! As a student I only ever went to the attached Mad Mex, but as an alum, I find the ability to spend the night drinking margaritas then have a short walk to the hotel room especially convenient!
