One of the best SF places to visit during the holidays.

One of the best SF places to visit during the holidays.
people don't know how to walk properly in the area. absolutely rude
A great place with good stores, but too many homeless people.
Nice place to go shopping right in the hwart1of thr city.
A lot if construction going on during our visit but the place was clean and overall not too busy. We bought drinks from a local vendor and sat in the shade for a while after walking from fishermans wharf. Good area to meet somebody or get your bearings when shopping.
Beautiful area, many things to do and shops to visit
Great place for photos if you are a visitor to SFO. The cherry blossoms are currently blooming on 20th Mar h 2017. Apple Store is nearby and Macy's is just across the road too. Lots of other big name outlets within short walk radius from Union Square.
Great atmosphere! Shopping... Food trucks... Holiday decorations including a huge Christmas tree.
Delicious food. Great service. Authentic decor. A great casual dining experience.
Nice place to visit! Friendly people and many things to see!
Restaurants, shopping and sightseeing... you can't go wrong.
I have been this SF Union Square on vacation in late December. During this early Winter time there is a ice rink for those loving skying. Next to Union Square you can find Macys, Uniqlo, Old Navy,... if you are interested in shopping.
Nice central park with good seating and some small cafes. Great for taking a break during shopping excursions on the square. Constant construction for the past year or so has made the space less attractive and harder to navigate.
Beautiful place all retail stores from high end to close out outlets within a few blocks great hotels
The proliferation of homeless here is sad and makes the area a little dodgy if you've got kids with you.
It was under construction but the kids still thought that it was pretty cool.
Just love this and from up Cheese Cake at Macy's looking down Union Square it's beautiful.
Some construction but parking is open and the shops are quite nice.
Perfect location with tons of things to enjoy within walking distance.
The busiest awesome Centre. It is a memorial pillar surrounded by lot of shopping malls, restaurants, banks&shops
Nice place for sight seeing
A wonderful experience, so many gorgeous buildings surround you. A true cultural melting pot.
Don't come here at night unless you want to be bothered by homeless and ladies of the night
All ways something going on here and you can catch the hop on and off bus tour
I leave 2blocks away and I will tell u there's a lot to do like double decker bus tours, cafes, stores, cablecars, art, music, restaurants, stage performance
I don't really know much on how to rate an area, but Union Square is one of my fave places to hang out in San Francisco. This time of the year, I love the outdoor ice rink, especially. No matter what time of year, though, this is sort of a junction place for people and good point to start out on some adventure.
Great access to bars and shopping. It also has some impressive architecture surrounding it.
Went on Christmas eve . A beautiful place to see n shop
I love visiting city though I could never live there. So many shops to choose from. The mall is gorgeous and clean. Love watching the cable cars and street shows. Weather not permitting this trip
Found a spot for a pretty amazing view of American tulip day!
A lot of the park area was closed off as they were constructing a giant Christmas tree. There was also an incredibly noisy strike going on at the hotel across the street so it was not as enjoyable as it could have been
We were there during Christmas holidays and the place looked so grand and beautiful with the whole place lit. There are lots stores including Macy's. There was also a skating rink.
Had a good time with dear ones. Walking around the shops. Exploring the area. I didn't get a chance to board cable car as we didn't have much time. Explore the tourist attractions in leisure, you will definitely like them and Sfo city.
A great day in the city! The shopping is fantastic and the restaurant's are superb.
Lovely urban park in the middle of lots of restaurants and shopping: Macy's, Saks, Neiman Marcus.
Such a beautiful place in the middle of all these big tall buildings. We went there during Christmas so we saw the huge gorgeous Christmas tree as well. The place was packed with people and everyone was having a great time.
All the shopping, people watching, and scavenging birds you could ever want. Plenty of sun, space, seats, and generally super clean for downtown.
We came here for tulip festival. Loved the place and surrounding shopping experience.
Great for shopping and equipped with beautiful lights at night
Power plugs no longer work with kinda sucks but its still a great place to be a "Creepy-PeePee-People-Watcher"!!
Great time around this iconic square. Shopping, dining, varieties everywhere. Nice time in SF.
The heart of San Francisco full of designer shops most people can't afford to buy out of.
Parking was horrid the day that I went, but at the same time expected for a holiday weekend. Loved the shopping, walking and people watching. Everyone in a joyous mood.
Be careful and watchful. I picked out a perfume at Macy's, my husband went to pay. Days later not at all what I chose and 20 dollars more.
Great place to visit in the city if you want to do some high end shopping...had lunch at Cheescake Factory...service was great, food came fast and delicious.
Almost centre of the downtown with a lot of shopping and dining options nearby. Famous Sanfransisco cable car passes just alongside. It is a hub for big bus city tour as well.
Great place to hang after lunch. Meet a lovely family visiting from Oxford England.
It was fun seeing the trams and the drivers changing direction at the starting point. Other than that, the place is a sad reflection of what San Francisco has become. Drug addiction and homelessness is an epidemic here. With all the helpless people walking around, the place smells like a public toilet.
If you look top end shopping this is it in San Francisco
Center for all shopping and tour bus starting point.
Great place to go shopping. That 3 story tall Nike store is awesome!
A vibrant metropolitan hub - but not as busy as other major cities - with all luxury retailers, big hotel brands and prominent corporation offices spread around it! Top news, the ice-skating offering in the center of the square!
I love SF! Rainy today but enjoying every minute. Beautiful square surrounded by great shops and eateries. Very well kept and clean. Two cute Cafes on the square
What a great place to walk around or sit and people watch. We also did some window shopping, actual shopping, and a little snacking there too. This is an iconic, bucket list district to visit during your SF day trip or weekend getaway.
THE BEST PLACE FOR WALK AND SHOP AT SAN FRANCISCO FRKM ONE TO ANOTHER NICE
Beautiful place, good place to take pics shopping is fantastic. Be aware of homeless people, area is surrounded with them.
Great ambience for xmas.
You can ice-skate here too.
Awesome place to shop, hangout, enjoy the livelyhood.. big brands, you will lots of option for food as well.
Must see tourist destination for all local and international visitors alike!
*** The parking underneath union square validates for 90 minutes after making a purchase st Macys!
a beautiful location for a coffee in the sunshine overlooking the people passing around
Prices outrageously high, panhandlers vert aggressive, watches homeless soil, argue and do their toilet business wherever and whenever they needed too, saw fights among them and with patrons ignoring them. CITY STINKS OF FEECES URINE AND VOMIT in and around transportation service areas. We spent a hellish week there and of June. We used to go twice a year. We are done. Ordinary people are not safe. Watch your wallets too, pickpockets worse than NYC, and I grew up there.
Amazing place full of great vibes. Go there and enjoy. Definitely a must go place if u are visiting SF
2017, one of the many great stops at Christmas time is Union Square
Union Square is not a pretty place. There's an underground parking structure, possibly its most useful feature. It does serve well as a point of reference. There's loads of shopping on and near the square, and one can board tour buses there (many of which have on/off privileges). It's a short walk from there to the cable car turnaround at Market Street, where you can also access both BART and MUNI. It makes a good place to meet up, but I can't really call it a destination.
Busy but beautiful with the christmas tree and ice rink.
It's just a shopping mall in sanfran with lots of homeless people doing sketchy things.
Great park sometimes they have art. They also have tourist things to do. Beautiful place with great shopping all around....
Great place to hang out and have lunch. A lot of good vibes here
Nice place with many malls and shopping outlets. Good place as a meeting spot
Awesome place to hang out and have a little picnic on the center plus a lot of branded stores everywhere on the place
Gorgeous part of the city. Lots of traffic during rush hour.
There are so many shopping places and fun little cafes. San Francisco definitely has its charm. Even if you just go into places that you can't afford, it's still a fun time!!
Overrated and overcrowded. Sometime events are held here. Other than being a square block don't see much significance to this place
Look at this Christmas precious! It's a very nice and safe area. If you are looking for the place to go shopping it's a perfect area. There are so many different stores. We went to few stores. Prices are the same as everywhere.
Christmas holidays feel magical in here. Palm trees and Christmas lights just feel so right.
Apparently this place is a tourist destination. I found it to be just a pretty area to shop at high-end stores. I will say it did feel pretty San Francisco-y, with the steep streets hosting cable cars adjacent to the Square.
