Union Square is it a very famous place of San Francisco Center have a big shopping center such as Macy Nordstrom Saks fifth Avenue also the restaurants whatever you want you find it there Especially is a colossal from the BART station which called Powell station

one of the famous public square however not really interesting to see.

Great tourist attraction! Very crowded! ( to be expected). Family friendly food establishments everywhere! Nightlife is amazing!

Cool downtown vibe and expensive shopping for big time brands. Definitely check it out then walk to chinatown nearby.

Always delightful to visit the Union Square on a beautiful sun-soaked afternoon (or morning). A great and unique place to sit, relax and enjoy the street performance plus watch the beautiful surroundings inside this somewhat hectic city. Excellent place to start if you want to explore the city, take some good photos etc. Traffic is a little congested I must say and parking can be expensive and difficult at times, but nothing too major. Good shopping experience too with incredible stores. Plenty of hotels and prestigious outlets too. You could find some amazing views here. If just laying back and watching people is your thing, you d also enjoy this place a lot. The farmers market is very good, organic produce, baked goods, highly recommended.

A must see when you visit the city. Take in the historic buildings and monuments, take a ride on the Powell Street car, or just sit in the park and have a coffee or espresso. Christmas is a wonderful spectacle every year. Go into Macy's and up the escalators for a great view. If you're hungry go to the top floor and eat at The Cheesecake Factory on the roof and take in a great view of the Square.

This place is magnificent, shows the true diversity of the bay area and is a good place to simply relax- plus window shopping louis vottuon is fun. Notice the two cafes stationed on each side of the square

It is a fantastic place especially around festive season. Parking can be a hassle. And there will be a lot of people around at all times. But it's always merry there

Right now everything is pretty limited there, with a lot of things under construction

This is a great spot to walk around and do all sorts of spending, such as stores all around, food spots, and even a farmer's market every once and a while.

A beautiful place to sit and relax in the middle of San Francisco's shopping district.

It has been very nicely redesigned, more open & visitors friendly! However needs to welcome back local 'street artists' & some more 'street vendors' though

Great place to stay everything is at a short distance, quite busy

The hub for tourists and events in the center of Downtown San Francisco. Depending on the day, it is possible to find here many different kinds of events and from here walk to enjoy all the amenities and shops all around. The construction work in progress is limiting the experience, but not making it unbearable.

Always nice to visit in the heart of San Francisco! Not a crowded as before and easier to find parking. Plenty of places to eat and shopping to do!

It's like exhibition for art painting - open space art gallery- excellent

Lots of people, shopping & food all around. You have to figure out parking though because Some spaces directly in square are limited to single hour of parking

Was a good day today here in SF. On of those rare days when you can appreciate the sunshine and good weather. A day that motivates you to go out and enjoy the day. Landing me in Unione Square today with a great cup of ice coffee and a healthy snack by my side.

Shops are amazing! Three or more levels to every shop. Wide variety to choose from. Great food places to eat as you go along from shop to shop.

I love Union square at Christmas. The beautifully decorated tree, holiday decorations in all the stores and hotels, especially the wreaths in every window at Macy's, ice skating rink, and festive atmosphere.

Quite a few homeless people around. Other than that. It was fun all the shops don't open till 10 or noon

Big area to hang around near a cafe. Only problem is that there are no restrooms there so you will ah e to go across the street to the Macy's store.

Great place in heart of San Francisco. You can find shops but also a lot of historical places.

One of the nicest areas of NYC for shopping and exploring.

The girls and I had a wonderful time together. I make sure that I come to the city every year during the Christmas holidays. Make sure you pre order your ice skating tickets in advance or you might not get to skate.

Not my favorite sf area too visit. Cheesecake factory is fun because you can look out over the square, or has amazing views. Macy's building is nice but that's about it.

Sad state of events, this place has changed over the years, there are homeless people and human waste all over the place. I only saw a few syringes on the ground, but it was easy to see that people were not in their right mind.

I took a break from work and walked down to union square to enjoy seeing all the kids enjoying the ice skating rink. I loved seeing the Christmas tree all decorated for the holidays. Definitely relaxed me and lifted my spirits.

It's cool to shop there. The Nike shoes store is crazy cool as well.

Union Square is probably one of the places you should definitely see when coming to San Francisco. There's a lot of shops around, and the square itself is pretty neat. There are these large art hearts located around the square, with the original big red one being here too. There's a pretty neat looking Apple store in this square too. Check it out!

Perfect central location if you're trying to see everything in SF

It's the perfect shopping destination. All the big brand stores and the hugeeee Macy's make it a perfect place for shopping. Also lots of restaurants and cafes nearby to satisfy the stomach after all the walking for shopping. The added fun is the events in the square. We visited during Christmas so it was always full of happening events like concerts and choir practices. Also the ice rink is cherry on the top.

One of the many SF spaces where rich encounter the poor, and barriers for the poor to sit, rest and socialize are increasing

Good place to visit during any occasions. The Christmas tree is very attractive and the skating rink is very enjoyable

This place is a shopper s paradise if you have money to burn. There s always a lot of people and a lot of energy here. There are high end stores, funky little restaurants, a Westfield mall, fine dining, trendy fast fashion stores, cable cars, street performers, and of course the square itself. Forget about parking here and go to a nearby garage.

Was in time for a pop-up ice rink in the square which was really supported. Great place at the time for families with young children.

Good place to start your SF tour.
Public transport available for all places.
Good place to take pics , spend 30 minutes.

It's probably the best environment for just hanging out or going with family to spend some time under the sun. Especially get the Christmas-sy feel during the holidays

Another place in San Fran you have to visit. Read all the plinths it is a good read. Take a camp chair sit around and watch the world go by.

It's union square what else can I say. I was going from macys, who didn't have the Keds I wanted in stock, to DSW my go to 4 story shoe store! They head the keds of course.

Extremely pretty during Christmas time. Best time to go is during the evening and to see all the lights and the shops and the life that is all going on.

The place is a mess, shops cater to the cheap and those without taste. Generally would not recommend staying in this area

A pleasant open square with a couple of cafes at each side, surrounded by retail stores. You can see art shows here sometimes. A lot of homeless people, though.

I just love Union Square it s vibrant and alive. With so many people experiencing our glorious city I love to see all their reactions and the excitement of all the beautiful stores and fantastic restaurants. When you go please take time to sit with a iced drink there are so many options and enjoy the sun the sights and sounds. Even if you re in a not so great mood I suggest go.. explore side streets especially Maiden Lane it feels so global and yes, inclusive and if you can have a tea st the Rotunda in Neiman Marcus it feels so civilized in our sometimes uncivilized world

Been to San Fransisco several times in the past but never ventured over here for some reason. Cool area to walk around and check out. If you're on foot definitely check this place out.

Hi! Union Square is sleaus gun especially during the holidays! Fun times ahead , especially going to see all the lights !

Nice good coffee. Well connected. I suppose it's going to get better once the works in the neighboring streets are done.

Nice little area during the daytime. Around Union Square at night can be sketchy, so I d recommend staying away from that area after the sun sets. Great place that has nice activities and a great place to just walk and talk or sit and people watch.

A flat, slightly elevated plaza surrounded by shop-foundationed skyscrapers in the very heart of downtown San Francisco.

Pretty neat place to just sit, relax, and enjoy the surrounding. Pretty well kept up, and plenty of places to sit and spaces to run around. Wish people wouldn't smoke though, the smoke carries quite well and stinks up the whole plaza.

I'm glad I was able to visit one of the tourist sites in San Francisco. I've been here two times now- the summer and #Thanksgiving. This area is definitely beautiful during thanksgiving/Christmas season due to decorations on the streets and in malls. It was a bit of a cold weather for me. It might not be for most people but a light jacket/sweater for the nights would not be excess weight. Talk about bars, restaurants, cafes, night clubs, festivals, boat cruises, sky high dining and shopping, San Francisco it is!
