First time here, reminds me of Dundas Square back home in Toronto! Tons of stuff going on here and around here. There's shipping all around, all kinds of stores lots of high end ones as well! There's a couple of coffee shops right in the square and stuff happening in rhe square ad well like artists painting etc. You can also get tour tickets here for tons of different places around town.

It's an iconic place and one should have been here when in San Francisco. However most of the place was under construction when I visited in October 2018, probably setting up already the ice rink?? And protesters shouting and drumming on the sidewalk put their stamp on the place. People claiming one job should be enough, surrounded by shops like Tiffany's.... Union Square also houses "the hearts" sculptures.

When we visited Union Spuare, some homeless men were standing around the park entrance and one of them persistently talked to us he could take our pictures. My husband said 'NO thanks!', but the homeless was very insistent. We decided to leave there shortly.

Good area to feel like you're in a world class city, especially if you are a shopper, but there are a lot of good restaurants in the area, both known chains and local flavors, at every dining experience level (fast-food/quick-service/table service).

Great memories I've had coming here throughout my life to Union Square. As a San Francisco native I would play here with my friends skating till they started Banning us which was cool understandable. In the winter time an ice skating rink is set up here. Nice place to just come and chill Some Nights my son and I like to walk around here in the evening.

Made up of large department stores, Union Square is a shopper s dream with tonnes of big name brands, outlets and coffee shops. Very busy, with trams and cable cars regularly running through the area. Macys, Bloomingdale s and Nordstrom are possibly the three largest stores. Union Square isn t the best touristy place to visit if you re here to visit San Fransisco, but it is certainly the beating heart of the hustle and bustle of the Downtown area.

It's a prominent place to gather especially for tourist and surrounding the square are all the shopping cum eating spots and areas. Key hotels as well. In the winter you have the ice skating ring to provide fun for all!! A must stop visit when in San Francisco. Also a great place to see and observe the famoua trams of SF going up and down the hills.

A homeless haven within the heart San Francisco. It must have been nice before the collapse of judgement and adult decision-making in the city. On a clear day, it can still be pleasant to sit and look at the art installations, but don't turn your back or leave your valuables unattended.

Union square is amazing place in middle of San Francisco downtown. There is lot of shops and malls with some outlets. There is also lots of restaurants to try out from serving cuisines from all over the world. All major attractions are 15-20 mins away from Union square.

Shopping district in downtown San Francisco. High-end stores at every turn. The park attracts tourist and locals. Slightly urban and a pigeon or two will fly close to people. Near BART station and the Powell Street cable car station is down the street. There is an underground parking garage across from Macy's. Nice wine bars flank the square and provide outdoor seating. Great spot for people watching and taking in the cooler San Francisco temperatures in the summer.

Union Square is really the vibrant, beating and joyous heart of San Francisco. The iconic square has been renovated several times and is looking forward to the addition of the new MUNI Subway station to be completed later this year. As a native San Franciscan, Union Square is where Christmas memories are made. as it has been for with my family. The bustle of shoppers, live music, the high end stores m the puppies and kittens in the holiday window displays. Or, just grab a latte and sit back and people watch....you will see it all in SF, and in particular Union Square.

Everything you want is a short walk away and if you need to go further the public transportation is a great alternative to renting a car. Btw there are many car rental places around so you can plan your trip to rent a vehicle on the days you need to. Parking a car in hotels and public parking will cost you more than the daily rental.

It's nice a public place to sit and relax. You can find the hop on hop off your bus tickets here. Skaters are welcomed here. You can grab a coffee from the small coffee hut at the corner and take breather.

As a local that was born and raised in SF, gentrification has takin a toll on this place. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, but the homeless and mental illness rooming the streets is insane. This use to be a wonderful tourist attraction. Now it's a haven for basket cases. Extremely disappointed.

I went to visit Macys flagship store in Union Square . As a child, I would visit San Francisco every summer to have fun and shop, especially @Macys. It had been 20 years since my last trip there, far too long. All the exciting, new departments - clothing, shoes, jewelry, perfumes and accessories. I found a pair of wonderful black dress up mules and enjoyed an ice cream in Ben and Jerry's before I got back on the road. I won't wait so long to return.

This has become a Christmas season tradition for me. I love the festive atmosphere and holiday spirit that surrounds Union Square. The tree, the ice skating, the hot teas or cocktails, and the stores with their decorative windows. It's magical.

Great area for shopping and window shopping. Lots of big stores as well as small, high-end boutiques. Plenty of restaurants. Easy and inexpensive parking at the Union Square garage or Sutter-Stockton garage. Great way to spend a day in the City... especially during the holiday season!

I'm giving Union Square 5 stars because there's always something going on here! The big tree around Christmas time, ice skating in the winter, art pieces on display, and a bunch of nice shops nearby! The only downside is that it's super touristy and packed most of the time. I definitely recommend it to everyone! Feel free to check out my IG for more SF photos: @parth.pls
