Nice to see but lots of homeless people begging and sleeping rough
Fun and happening square in the heart of SF. Worth a visit.
Nice place to spend time with family. Just a bit crowded
There is no doubt that Union Square Park is the heart of San Francisco! Located in the middle of downtown, it's close to almost anywhere in the city and surrounded by store (incl. the most upscale ones). Great place to catch some sun and fresh air, it offers plenty of free performances going on year round (music festivals, artwork showcases, ice skating and many more). It's my main jumping-off point for exploring other parts of downtown San Francisco. Also, really like the love symbols at the corners of Union Square, especially the one with Golden Gate Bridge on it.
Good event space, check the schedule and see what's going on. During winter there might be an ice skating ring here.
If u wanna go for shopping ..this is the place .Every brand's store u will find here..and if u r here during christmas time ,u will get so many good deals..everywhery u will see discounts and sale..Enjoy shopping
Nice area with great views, small park surrounded by a few big shops like Macy's, Apple Store. Very good for a walk but complicated for drivers.
Hardly found a parking spot on the street, though there are plenty of expensive parking garages. A lot of construction activities make you feel uncomfortable.
One of my favorite places to hang out in San Francisco. I love walking around it and looking at the big puffy hearts. When the weather is nice, I like to eat across the street at the Cheesecake Factory on the balcony overlooking Union Square to people watch and just take in the city. If you are a tourist - this is the place to visit.
This is the heart of San Francisco. Amazing shopping and dining, and only steps from Chinatown or the cable cars on Powel Street that will take you to Fisherman's Wharf.
You can spend whole day here . Can enjoy shows and pass time.
The Union Square area is surrounded by upscale shopping, restaurants, hotels and stores.Very busy with lots of tourists. Lots of benches to sit around to relax or have lunch.
Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's ,Tiffany n Co,
Big Shopping Area Macy's Saks 5th Ave Neiman Marcus Dolce and Gabbana
There is a lot of great, high-end shopping in the Union Square area. I deducted a star due to all of the homeless people you have to navigate/deal with.
It has improved so much from 10yrs ago. A real pleasure to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air here these days.
I couldn t remember how many times I ve been here, but it s always nice to see the view from the square.
I really like the all night parking garage here it's great to pick up a scooter or park a car and it's great because it is open 24 hours the people don't give you any trouble there is security around so it's perfectly safe it's pretty clean and well-lit. I've used it several times I myself you scoot. Com so I can pick up a scooter there or drop it off pretty much at will and that's great. keeps me moving 24/7 I recommend it highly.
Very cool for people watching. Also lots of high end shopping all around
There was a protest happening at the time we were there to end political and religious oppression in Tibet. It was very peaceful and passionate and the same time. #FreeTibet
Nice place to be if you are into shopping. Lots of stores available nearby. Only setback is the price. Difficult to find washroom too.
Bustling plaza with an ice skating rink surrounded by shops of your choice. Perfect spot to stop and have a coffee or as a landmark to meet some friends.
It is just a square... nothing special, many people, many cars, many stores, and many constructions as well. But good for parking your car under union square and rent a bike for looking around. Pier 39 is not far from here, taking less than 15 minutes from here. If you dont want uphill and downhill with your bike, go to pier1 from union square and then there is nice bike route from pier1 to pier39.
Service not good
Food good
Nice place with luxury brands and good restaurants around, very busy place lots of tourist. I also love to sip a cup of coffee or glass of red wine while seating in the park.
Nice stores all over... Everything is walking distance.
Nice buildings around. That is what it is all about.
You see people from all over the world here plus it's got the little New Yorkie feeling with the big box Stores n I like riding wheelies here because it's real smooth
I give the Famous Union Square located at 333 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94108 FIVE CROWDED STARS. Always an enjoyable time when visiting Union Square in SF. 5 's ALWAYS be cautious.
I love this place makes me want to do a flash mob wedding proposal to my fiance it's so beautiful and so much space in the seating is awesome gives you a lot of space and comfortability as well as silence to study or even just have a time to get away
Sad that tourists spend time here. Not representative of the city at all
A place buzzing with people in the heart of San Fransisco, I have visited Union Square each time I have been there. I used to meet my son there during his lunch hour, great seating areas there, too.
Union square is prejudice against me for having learning differences.
Very good, tasty French Dip sandwich and other items. Overall, a little pricey though.
Union Square pretty good during this the winter beginning of Union Square pretty good during this the winter beginning of Christmas time they have ice skating little it's a little pricey they have ice skating that's a little pricey but what the hell you know anyway there's a bunch of stuff to do their Christmas tree lighting throughout the year they have all kinds of good stuff so I recommend going there early you know not too late you got Macy's Saks Fifth Avenue you got all kinds of good stuff so it's so I recommend it
Not the best place to be while in a crew cab dully and a trailer
One of the most famous place in San Francisco. This square is full of major brands and hotels. You will find all kind of people around you here. A major tourists destination in the city. Walking distance from Bart station. A major shopping hub with Macy's, apple store, Swarovski, Victoria secret for name a few. Cable car junction is also near by. There is live music gigs, cycles on rent and bus tours tickets also available here.

Very nice place not only the square, the zone is plenty of shops, hotels an restaurantes. Very nice!!
You know how you think the nail people in there talking about you I found out they are talking about you they talked about your nails your feet your hair if you might be a black man with a big thing if you're a white woman they like to do everything but your mouth besides talk they really dog you down so bring another Asian with you and have her tell you the things that they say about you how dare they but you know hate is all that fun
Always something happening at Union Square. Fun place to visit
must visit on your trip to San Francisco. shops were very well presented.
Union Square is the heart of San Francisco city as it is centrally located in the main happening Post street. The nearest metro station to reach Union Square is Powell station and it is also easily reachable by Muni buses along with local cab services.
Union Square is considered to be the most happening place of San Francisco main city and a visit to SFO is incomplete without visiting Union Square. The main attractions of Union Square are Heritage Cable Car, Upscale eateries and High style fasion brands.
The best time to be in the true Union Square vibes is the evening time till night wherein one gets to see the well lit atmosphere of the skyscrappers.
Speak Up, Stand Against, Drop a Knee Just Do It...loved Union Square great place to people watch and shop high end label if that s your thing
Surrounded by great shops and restaurants , loved the cheese cake factory overlooking the square
Fantastic views from the cheesecake factory on the eighth floor!
Try Cheesecake for sure.
Find it!
Probably one of the best places in San Francisco. Looks amazing during Christmas and it's an overall good place to shop around with stores like Macy's, Nike, Apple Store, and some designer stores too like Hermes and Louis Vuitton among others. Very cool place
Great place
Great location
One of the most happening place in the planet
Great selection. More than you d find at an average store.
Must go in SFO! Beautiful decorations and vibe during Christmas and New Years!
As alway in December, Union Square was all decked out in its Christmas best. Macys tree in the square, Santas everywhere. And the weather was perfect, bright and warm.
Nice square. What's to do there?
- Admire the square. There are usually events there. Usually artists exposing.
- Look to the west to the building behind the Westin hotel. You'll see outside elevators moving up and down.
- Enjoy the cafe. It's one of the few places in the city where you can have a bite ir a beer outside. There are two of them, same company. The one on the west side has wind screens, the other one is nicer.
- Go to Macy's, on the southern side. Besides women and children's clothes there is also a Cheesecake Factory and a burger place at the top floors. Guys, your Macy's is to the east, across Stockton street.
That's about it. Beware, toilets are far. Go to Macy's. The garage underneath has crappy toilets.
Tree lighting ceremony is always fun. I love being down here during the holidays and enjoying the festive's
The main place in San Fran to sip on a hot cup of joe from Starbucks. My last visit consisted of Starbucks, an adorable tea cup chihuahua (walking leash less from Starbucks to the square... dressed adorable), and chillin in the square lookin all fancy. I ll find pictures and post!
Love coming here for ice skating and environment during Christmas. Great place to visit for the Christmas holiday season if you are around the bay area. Not a far walk from Bart with plenty of shops and restauranta around the area to keep you busy.
The square it self was under construction but it was still beautiful. It s surrounded with shops, restaurants, hotels etc. It was a busy location
My first time to San Francisco. Really enjoyed the view.
Visit this place for access to all the malls nearby for her best of SF shopping
Great spot to have lunch and watch the foot traffic!
Beautiful square close to the some main shops such as Nike, North Face and others. Relaxing to Hangout here and to enjoy the scenery
Union Square is surrounded by nice stores like saks fifth ave, macys, chanel, louis vuitton to name a few. If you bring your car parking spots and garages are everywhere they're usually not full on ordinary weekends. The San Francisco Cable car passes by on the west on powell st. Cafes are present on the the square itself.
Place is full of fast, different, unique and friendly people
Clean and the and they have tables too and the employees are really cain they make sure the table is clean for you
Fun place to take pictures, visit galleries and shop!
Great location for lunch or just to seat down and see the different cultures and vibes in San Francisco. Good place to take pictures. Surrounded by many shopping locations.
Ice skating ring is open, lots of shopping and hotels around it. Nice place to see in any season. Tons of good restaurants within walking distance.
We took the BART from Concord. What a fun day of shopping.
Great location in the City central to a lot of shopping and restaurants.
Many branded shops. Nice to scout around. Bargain seekers stay away.
Beautiful square with lovely live music during the summer and nice and calm atmosphere. Please her love to get into the rhythm and dance when there is something going on, so come on and join in!
Santacon was organized here on 1st Saturday of December. All kind of people wear different santa dresses. A huge Christmas tree was placed at center.
Lots of entertainment for all and I liked the political demonstrations ..freedom of speech
Good shopping, great people watching. Convenient access to the trolly. S
Great center of downtown San Francisco, conveniently for shopping and all hotels.
