Poor food. Terrible service. Waiter continued to tell everyone if they ordered the wrong drink he has to pay for it. No changing anything off the menu. They don't help you find something on the menu you would like. High prices for poor service and food. Definitely a tourist trap. Only good comment from me, nice location

Got seated, handed a menu and waited for at least a half an hour for a waitress while we watched a few waitresses talk with each other and stand around talking and laughing with other customers. It seemed like we had invaded a private party and weren't wanted. It wasnt even a busy night! After more than half an hour at rhis point, without even so much as a water offered or an order taken, we left. Nobody even acknowledged our departure. I won't be back!

This place was fantastic! The menu is diverse in both price and fare, their frozen drinks are amazing and come in at around 5 dollars; they limit 3 frozen drinks per patron of their frozen so you know it is mixed well. The beach is right beside the outside seating. The wait was 75 minutes when we walked up, but we were told they hold a number of tables for first come first serve. So we simply waited around until a table opened up after maybe 20 minutes, which I thought was a fantastic idea. Be sure to check this place out if you are ever in the area.

Can't go wrong with this spot. Food is always spot on. Views are amazing. Drinks are sweet! Do it!

Filets of grouper, salmon and mahi baked on a cedar plank, then topped with a creamy lobster mushroom sauce.

What a misleading description this is. The "filets" were slightly larger that a half dollar. When asked, I was told they are 3 oz each (doubtful based on the size) but when the menu says filet, it should be a filet. When speaking to the manager, I pointed to my husbands plate to show her what I considered a filet. She said she knew what a filet was but my pieces were 3 oz.

Think they need to change the menu or drop the rediculous price! Won't be going back there.

Fun spot right on the beach good for food or just drinks. We love it.

My husband and I came to Venice Beach for our anniversary and were looking for a restaurant on the water with a great atmosphere, food and drinks. Several of our friends recommended Sharky's. Well it did not disappoint. Food was phenomenal and so was the staff and the live band. The bar tender told us the story of the owner and that too was very impressive. He is proof of the American Dream! We will be back!

The view is absolutely spectacular and the food was delicious.

We had a great time. Our server was very helpful. Tried his recommendation of the Boathouse salad. Added the chicken. The salad was delicious. We had a short 15 minute wait to be seated, meal was brought out quickly. Beautiful spot on the gulf. Views of the beach, pier and sunset are really special.

I don't know how describe what heaven is but this cake/pie/ice cream thing, is the stuff of legends

Watched a 10' hammerhead shark get murdered after dinner, great family dining experience...

Great location, service ok, food ok, over priced. We were told the wait would be approx. 40mins. The buzzer went off in 10 mins. That was good until the hostess sat us in an area that was inside but had no A/C, just large fans. It was very hot. The fish, scallops and crab legs were over cooked. The scallops were pretty bad, dry and no taste. The drinks were small. The experience was disappointing. I would think twice if you looking for decent food. If your looking for a place to grab a drink while your at the beach it might work for you.

First time eating here and I'd love to go again! I had the hog fish and it was seriously amazing! It was light and full of flavour!

The staff were very busy but kept their cool and we're very kind to us.

Highly suggest that if anyone is thinking of trying Sharky's then to read this and take the plunge! It's worth every penny!

Food was great, staff was very attentive and even brought bread out for the hungry kids before appetizers and food. The rice bowls were amazing, as was the lobster and artichoke dip.

Local institution. Foods good, drinks great. Lots of frozen concoctions to choose from. Go at sunset and enjoy the view. Hunt for sharks teeth on the beach.

Actually, we went to Fins, the reastraunt upstairs. While sharky's is a descent spot, Fins is magnificent! The food is alive with flavors and you can't beat the atmosphere. People are cool and everyone was having a good time.

Food was good a little pricey. The reason for 3stars is the price on drinks...2 pitchers of beer 36.00. Way to high.

Some things are great some are terrible. They must have lost a lot of good staff to Covid. Only the manager seemed to want to help us. Everyone else seemed to busy with nothing to bring basic things like an extra plate. The positive: delicious fresh caught grouper. The negative: service.

The view is wonderful on the intercostal, especially if you get a waterside table. Yes, you are paying for the view. The food varies from average to good, fine dining this is not. I've never had a problem with bad staff or service. Yes, I dislike the cheap platic cups. But the view makes up for it all. Just keep your expectations in line. Go planning on having a fun time, and you will. Go expecting fine dining and you will leave disappointed.

Grouper sandwich! Thats all you need to know really, but just in case..... slightly higher prices than you would expect, but when the food comes out you realise why. Amazing flavors, really nice staff, great beach views, and a menu to suit all tastes.... what more could you want.

A little disappointed to find out that they don't make fresh guacamole in house. Even chili's does that. Might as well go to taco bell. But the view is great and the drinks are good.

I had the rice bowl with blackened salmon. Cooked just right, excellent flavor, fast and pleasant service. Prices are mid range. We're here from Missouri to celebrate our 30th anniversary and highly recommend trying this place.

Huge tourist stop, and I see why. However the service is horrid, the waitress's excuse for being rude " during this time of the year it is what it is". Management followed up, what a joke. Basically if you have a decent pallet and any dietary restrictions they will not accommodate your needs without a HUGE temper. The management offered to take the meal off the bill and replace it , and he sure did, he replaced the price too. Not exactly taking care of it in anyone's book! Mehhh, I wouldn't recommend this place, I don't care how busy you think you are, customer service is your job!

Music, beach, pier, beautiful sunshiny day...doesnt get any better!
