Lobster salad roll and apple and Brie Pizza were both amazing

Choose inside or outside dinning. Casual. Nice variety on the menu. Figure $15-20 per person for lunch. Dishes are flavorful.

Dinner was fine until they chose to seat a large party of 13 next to us who were extremely loud. We couldn't even hear each other at our own table. We evacuated as quickly as we could.

Love it here! The atmosphere is wonderful. Understandable wait since the restaurant is right in the beach. Great food and very friendly staff! Although the wait is long, the food and service is worth it.

Visited from Canada for a day, enjoyed a great time with friends at the pier, great staff that served us

Food was very meh, however, I feel it a public duty to warn potential patrons of the flies. We were under constant attack from a seemingly endless supply of flies. On my face. On my food. On my legs. On my straw. They were everywhere.

Good view and location though.

Very nice beach front bar with a fishing pier. Outside and inside seating, with full bar and menu. Outside includes open table and a large tiki hut. Great place to meet friends, or just include in your day at the beach.

Love the ambiance of this place. Love hanging out on the pier fishing. Beaches, bar, fishing, outdoor eating, entertainment...I will be headed there again soon. If I'm in Florida, I HAVE to go to Sharky's at least once!

worst dining experience ever. food was TERRIBLE especially for how over priced it was!!! Was my daughter's bday she wanted to go there everyone sent food back. Was awful NO FLAVOR we had a burger and some kind of lobster shrimp dish that was FISHY AND DISGUSTING don't think there was even any lobster or shrimp in it.

The food is way over priced, but the drinks are great (albeit expensive). You cannot beat the views though, they make everything worth it.

Great place on the beach. Starkey's is quick Beach food and bar. Fins is upstairs more high end.

Outstanding!!!! Sat inside with my wife and I enjoyed the very good waitress make sure we were very happy !!!

If not for food then for great music and the ocean sunset view you must check this place!

Sharkys was fantastic as always! Great waiter, gorgeous sunset, and the food superb!

Food was average and the tables were dingy patio furniture. But it was great sitting outside. I wish the beer was in proper pint glasses and not flimsy plastic cups.

The staff are friendly and polite.

It was my first time there and it was awesome will return when in the area.

The only reason I'm giving this three stars is because my friend's mom works there.

I remember when my folks and I tried to go outside of season last June and the wait time we were quoted was an hour. I don't think it was that bad, i think that they lied because they weren't equipped to handle the waiting customers.

The food, from previous experiences isn't bad, but it certainly isn't anything to write home about either. You can find better food at Nokomo's Sunset Hut, Pop's, or Sandbar Tiki and Grille. The food quality at Sharkey's isn't bad, it's just the menu doesn't really excite me.

The service? Depends on who you get. If you get someone a little bit older, they're nice and pleasant. If you get someone younger, you can tell they have a chip on their shoulders and a little bit of an attitude.

The views? Again, average at best. You get to see a large pier jutting out from the restaurant, which in my opinion, isn't aesthetically pleasing. Nokomo's Sunset Hut, Pop's and Sandbar Tiki and Grille, for better views.

However, if you're visiting, you may want to give it a shot. The food isn't bad and you'll probably find something that might interest you. The service is okay, if you get an older server and the views are alright. You'll appreciate it more if you're from out of town or state. That's why I say, Sharkey's is decent at best and it does have its merits.

Best they have is the home made fruit bread fish was not season right. Serve was very good great view.

The view was fantastic! After dinner we were able to walk on the beach. The food was good.

Very good quality food, exceptional service, satisfying atmosphere. We had the pleasure of having a good waiter; checking up on us frequently and kept our glasses full.
They are a bit pricey, with $20-$25 dollar meals, but they ARE a seafood restaurant.
I had eaten here with a couple of my friends and we had no complaints. One of my friends had ordered one of their lobster specials and thought it's portion size was disappointing. Almost halfway through her dinner, she was telling us how stuffed she was.

We had a delicious dinner on the patio overlooking the beach. The service was fast and efficient and the food was terrific! Oh and great music that evening too! After dinner we strolled the pier, walked in the surf and then watched a Fabulous Florida sunset. Altogether a lovely evening!

The location was amazing but the food was over priced and no bueno! My sandwich was soggy and fell apart. So with that being said, I could have taken a picnic lunch to the beach and saved the money.

Our server Dillion was amazing. Great food and atmosphere. We left before the band but from previous visit it was enjoyable entertainment.

It was better before they turned it in to Disneyland. Took 10 minutes to find a parking space. Walked up to the front door 30 minute wait. We left. Not a place to relax anymore.

Food was good service also. A little pricey but I will be back. Go when you have time to relax take a walk on the Pier. Several people were fishing you can even rent fishing poles bait and takle. We did see a dolphin swimming by the Pier that was cool.

The food wasn't all that great atmosphere sucke,prices are way too high for the food quality of the food service was okay

Great atmosphere including decor, live music, tiki bar, outdoor, indoor and upstairs seating right on the gulf with a pier attached. They also have a gift store with gimmicky things that were over priced for my taste but it was hard not to get anything. We had the grouper blackened and grilled. Both loved it. A little pricey but definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Really cool place to visit. Right beside the fishing Pier so you can take a walk then get a drink. Every time I've been there they had good live music. The frozen drinks are a bit pricey but you're paying for the view, which is awesome. Besides, you can't drink more than two or you'll be crawling out.

Nice beach, but due to wave a little tricky getting to the water.

There were five of us. Most of us had the shrimp and Cole slaw which was very good. We had onion rings which were overdone, not burnt but close. We ordered alcoholic drinks which hardly had an liquor in them. We hadn't been there for four years. We will only return if our guests want to go.

First time here but had over a 2 hours wait even for a bar seat for lunch..

Love this restraunt,we always come here every time we visit Sarasota. It has great sea food,freindly staff,clean uniqe place.

I love this place, a must visit to me. The food is great and the whole resteraunt setup is fun! The four stars come from the large number of pigeons that occupy the outdoor seating area.

Closed because a worker tested positive for COVID. We did not eat there.

Don't recommend the stuffed flounder....it was a very small portion and watery soft. Atmosphere great and wait staff exceptional.

Disappointing, the food was mediocre at best. Appetizer was cold and undercooked. Overpriced and not worth the money.

Beautiful atmosphere & views. Good food. Pricey. large portions. Expect Long wait. Bands are talented. Service is hit and miss. The "seasoned, mature" staff is wonderful. The younger group is sloppy.

We had a great dinner with great service. The waiter was wonderful and patient, the location could not be better, the menu has a great selection, and we had a lot of fun sitting on the deck watching a storm come through.

Great food and the View is amazing. Our service was excellent.

Kind of a tourist trap but a must visit if it is your first time to Venice Beach
