Had an absolute pleasant stay at the hotel as always, your staff Richan Xu provides service that's above and beyond, took great care of me, made sure I have everything I needed every step of the way. Called back to ensure I had what was needed. The staffs are overall friendly and the ambiance of the place lovely. I would most definitely recommend this pearl resting next to the bund to my friends and family.

The room at the time of check-in was located next to the Zhengda Shopping Mall. The air-conditioning sound was louder. Once reflected, the counter staff managed to change the room for me on the next day (because the same room was full on the same day). The only fly in the ointment is: Probably because the restaurant is a bit history, the sound of its own air conditioner is relatively large, I hope the hotel can consider when updating the equipment.

Wonderful hotel and excellent service. However, the location of the hairdryer is very poor. I do. Or like to dry my hair anywhere but the bathroom. I had a difficult time using the hairdryer in the bedroom, it was difficult to see and overall not a useful experience.

Great standard of service that is consistent with other Shangri-la properties that I've had the privilege to stay at. Service is key, even though the River Wing is a bit tired, but pales in comparison to service provided. Great hardware is nothing without equally great software :)

Shanghai Pudong is one of the most beautiful hotels I have had the pleasure to stay. All of the staff that I interacted with, as well as the housekeeping, where kind, helpful and very professional. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen anywhere in the world, and the pool is well suited to fitness swimming (laps). A big plus for me.

This stay for 2 nights, overall disappointing, because of some of the situation, the treatment of hotel staff is slightly insufficient! After all, it is a five-star international chain hotel, the performance is not worth the five-star level. Others such as: The shower head of the bathroom is unstable, and the sheets have holes. . . I will not mention the problem!

The Shangri La in Pudong is my home in Shanghai, and has been for 17 years.
The service is exemplary, the quality is excellent, the rooms are very comfortable, and I think of many of the staff as being my friends,

Due to the large number of people in the hotel, the elevator buttons on each floor of the hotel are full of fingerprints and dirt, which makes people have health concerns. Please pay attention to the details of the hotel and make the hotel better.

I had best time ever in Pudong Shangri-La. I felt the warmest welcome from Front Desk. Jackson, Jack, Sean, Daisy and Wilson provide excellent service. Ken & Shelly from Horizon offered the nicest treatment for my two girls. They do love the hotel.

Was here for St Patrick's charity ball in the grand ballroom. Great open space for major events. There was an outdoor balcony which makes it an ideal location for both indoor and outdoor events. The room was clean and of decent size. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Service was great - I managed to get my phone charged at the concierge, they even brought the phone up to the room when requested.

The people that work there are great. However, as a pilot working for Fedex and taking many rooms there a night I found the manager a disappointment to say the least. We are quarantined in the hotel for the duration of our stay due to China rules currently. SO, normally we would venture out and eat at the many eateries around. However, since we are bound to the hotel, we can either order from the hotel or through an application for delivery. The hotel has been very accommodating but then one day the manager changed the policy and said "no more delivery; only order from hotel". Not only did I find this unsatisfactory, but cowardly as they never informed us in writing and, in turn, turned away deliveries that we had already ordered. I attempted to contact the manager but they would not talk. This is merely someone trying to take advantage of our situation as a "captive audience". The menu is quite limited and we want the freedom to eat as we please. Taking this option away is wrong. I am contacting management at Fedex to change our hotel now from the Shangri-La to a more accommodating hotel. This will cause the Shangri-la to lose lots of money in the process. I encourage you to pass this on to the highest levels of management as I will then as to avoid ALL Shangri-La Hotels wherever they may be in the world over where we stay.

The staff were knowledgeable, wonderful, and considered every need even before asking. As an example, I forgot to include my son on my reservation, but the staff knew that I regularly traveled to this property with my family. They anticipated my need and had a roll-away bed waiting in my room even before my arrival, even though the reservation I made incorrectly listed me as traveling by myself.

As always I had a blast even I had a short stay at East Shanghai Pudong Shangri-la. Ms. Gan had handled my reservation, room arrangement and readiness in detail. Mr. Kenny Ooi provided me with the best service every time I went to the Horizon club. I think he is one of the best if not the best HC manager I had ever met. Please keep the great work and I will be back in few weeks. Thanks you all.

We very much enjoyed our experience, Ambassador Ellaithy and I, and our little son enjoyed every aspect. Thank you to all staff for such a wonderful stay. The buffet was among the best we have ever experienced in the world. The beautiful suite was indeed a truly wonderful and sophisticated experience. We will definitely recommend to all colleagues and friends and family.

What superlatives are there left to say about the Pudong Shangri-La Shanghai. This splendid hotel possesses the old-world, colonial Chinese elegance. My room had a chandelier over the bed! The staff at Shangri-La are exceptionally friendly and eager to assist all guests.

The location is wonderful with the Lujiazui Metro 300-meters away, very near the Huangpu River, and every type of conceivable shopping within two city blocks. Taxis are everywhere as well. The full-service Lotus grocery store is in the lower level of the shopping mall next door. Terrific food court in that mall as well.

The amenities in-room are what you would expect from a 5-Star hotel. A wide range of toiletries in the bath, with shower and bathtub. Two fluffy bathrobes, with disposable room slippers. Tea kettle, complementary water bottles, and refrigerator.

The complementary Wifi was strong, but be aware the Chinese government blocks many western websites like anything Google, and Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

The bed was huge and very comfy, and the room was dark and quiet for sleeping with black-out drapes.

Very nice workout room and pool, and don't miss the Happy Hour in the lounge on the 36th floor. The views are outstanding, especially at night with Shanghai lit up.

The only detraction both me and my colleagues experienced in their rooms as well, was a slight sewer odor in the bathrooms. This is another reason to always drink something bottled or canned while in China......never from the tap.

Staying at the Pudong Shangri-La is always a pleasure. The reason is without doubt the staff - they are eager to do whatever is required to make your stay a fantastic experience. I look forward to my next stay!

No memory foam pillow! Not even a signal teabag in room. The worst experience I ve ever had in this hotel. Went to the Chinese restaurant when arrive and wait for 10 mins, no one greeted me. End up I go back to my room order room service. However, room service choices are limited. No one care now? Management change?

I visited your Cafe with buffet dinner during my stay. the buffet provide many choice of food which including some cold seafood, but when I request your waiter to provide some wet tissue or wet towel for cleaning my hand and I surprise your cafe do not have it. but finally, 1 of your waiter is smart enough to provide a bowl of water with pcs of lemon for washing my hand.

Secondly, I visited the CHI spa. The spa receptionist(Erin, Jennifer) are both very nice and polite who give me a good impression of the spa initially. And the spa therapist, Linda who is very professsional on massage skill and good communication with me and let me enjoy a relaxing massage.

I am disappointed that I was told the number of stay are all reset end of Dec 2017. I am just about 3 stay from achieving my Diamond status and it is now all reset and I have to accumulate again. This in return make me think very hard whether I should be loyal to Golden Circle. I have many choices to stay with other hotel chain. There must be an option for member to either use reward points to extend the deadline at least if we didn't manage to achieve the required stay by end of the year, we have an option to extend the deadline with our reward points.

Judy and her team in the Executive Lounge looked after us in an exceptional manner. Completely professional, friendly and helpful catering to all our needs. We were very spolied which made for an awesome experience and holiday. We have travelled extensively around the world and this was amongst the best.
Based on this experience, we will definitely be back.
We cannot thank Judy and team enough and we wish them the very best.

Disappointed. Had to change rooms when I finally gave up on getting the very noisy fan to turn off. This is not that difficult to test when the room is being cleaned. Likewise for the part of the shower fitting which fell off as soon as I stepped inside. Entirely avoidable and not good enough for a five star hotel.
Additionally, the staff I dealt with all had a detached and high-handed manner which is not unexpected in Shanghai but deeply ill-fitting for service staff.
For the sake of future travellers, as I won't be returning, please address these issues. I would someone else to feel the sense of disappointment that I felt throughout my stay.

The rooms are tidy, but slightly cramped, and are relatively small in comparison with similar hotels in Shanghai.

The house keeping stuff never supplied the Nespresso capsules in my rooms. There was none when checked in the room; I had to call and ask for it on first night, and never filled up through out the whole 5 nights of staying. Not to mention my colleagues who stayed in other guest rooms had fruit plates in their rooms.

Went for breakfast on Sep 21 and even though provided the room number to the Yi Coffee stuff, the lady asked back "Haven't you had breakfast already?" If she is so good at remembering faces, then what's the purpose of recording down the guests' room numbers?

The Banquet stuff was also very passive; had to ask things (i.e. marker pens, chairs, power extensions) for many times then they would finally provide. Overall worst support from the hotels I ever held trainings in.
