Recently under new management. They are taking care of some deferred maintenance and upgrades. Still needed to fix lockers in the men's area. Having said that if there was a YMCA or other lower cost option I would take it. The atmosphere, while welcoming, is blatantly upper middle class and above. Good people and good enough place but I feel there joining fee and membership cost is intended as a filter on who can join based on economic elitism.
Equipment, atmosphere, staff, members all freakin outstanding
Such a friendly club! Great place to meet people! So many amazing classes!
Great staff and community. Family friendly activities from the gym activities to the fitness floor policy for allowing kids at 8 yrs old and up to be trained on how to use the cardio requirement to the wide variety of swim classes (just be persistent on getting the scheduled class you want and stay on top of when to renew the class). Trainers, staff in the club and staff on the floor are what make this place special.
Great club with excellent service. Outdoor pool in the summer is super. Racquetball courts are really nice.
Clean and friendly staffing. Great racquetball courts, and great exercise area. Many exercise classes offered. Drive 1 1/2 hours, one way and 3x a week to get to this club.
Overall solid gym to get the job done during COVID or not.
Recent updates to the Club are beautiful!! The men and women s locker rooms, spa areas and steam room just got remodeled. I love this place!
The staff ate very kind, and its always clean. They observe all of the Covid 19 regulations, and requirments. I feel very safe going their to swim or work out.
Good place to workout, 2 workout rooms, three pools and two saunas
Best exercise facility in town; pools, racquetball, basketball, spinning, childcare, meeting facilities; even attached physical therapy.
The hours are rIdiculous. If you have a job don t plan on working out here. Oh but the amenities are nice so you re thinking you can at least use it on the weekends, nope closed on Sunday barely open Saturday. This place sounds good on paper but you ll never use it.
Mostly good but could use some updates and sanitization in some areas. Mold and peeling paint. The small spa is not hot enough and the saunas are closed. Sometimes the big spa is too full of creepy old men and I don't feel comfortable there. The therapy and lap pools are nice and on the rare occasion the outdoor pool is sweet. The smelly carpet needs to go. The exercise equipment is but old.
Remodeling updates have made a big impact on the club! Club staff are following all state Covid19 requirements. More big things for the club to come post. pandemic!
Friendly staff, very clean, and all the amenities you need.
Best gym option in Corvallis by far. Everything you need or might need one day. 40+ hours of classes per week. Yoga with Kris is amazing. Circuit room is my favorite. 5/10 in cleanliness but hey, it's Oregon.
I use the weight room and the Pickleball Courts. The staff are great, helpful at every turn, and the camaraderie s among the pickle ball players and the staff is great David at the back desk knew my name and member number within a couple of weeks,. I m glad I am a member.
As an older participant, athletic clubs can sometimes be intimidating. How lovely to find a facility whose staff make you feel both welcome and comfortable!!
The atmosphere, amenities, and people make it a welcoming place . The variety of classes and schedule makes it easy to stay motivated. Childcare folks seem competent and caring so you will to feel at ease leaving your child.
I love Timberhill! The staff is well organized and always helpful. All of the improvements are great also!
Very nice clean facility. Seems to be plenty of activities and groups. Probably best bargain in Corvallis too
The Aquacranial Therapy is a unique and really enjoyable experience. I highly recommend checking it out! Only offered at Timberhill Athletic Club.
Excellent instructors with good diversity of classes for adults, youth and families! Membership fees are very reasonable and flexible, with incentives for seniors and youth!
Horrible!!!!
Outdoor surveillance video at the Timberhill Athletic Club, which organized the daytime summer camp, caught Tomas Barreto Pizano fighting for his life after he rode down a slide into the water, the lawsuit says. The water was 7 inches deeper than the boy was tall and he can be seen on the video bobbing up from the bottom of the pool and gasping for air 88 to 92 times before succumbing, the suit states.
This place is a sinking ship. Enjoy while it lasts.
The managers are all basically heartless who don t care about others and are only there to get a check. When I asked for help with discrimination from my manager and accommodations for my disability they fired me a few hours later. They genuinely do not care.
They allowed a child to die in their pool- google it. They didn t have permits for their pool slides.
How could anyone support a place that has such disregard for members, or coworkers?! This place should be shut down.
Better than most gyms I've been to. Staff is friendly and so are all the patrons.
It was fine for a few years, then fell into decay and shabbiness so I stopped going. When I cancelled my membership, they billed me for an additional month on some technicality in the fine print of their contract. Very disappointing treatment after I had been a paying member for several years. If you have to cancel your membership, be sure to do it in writing and get a receipt that you cancelled. Then check your credit card statement for the next several months.
I have been working at Timberhill Athletic Club for over 6 years. I teach Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates and I am a massage therapist at Timberhill. It is one of the best places I ever worked and I love working out there. Thank You!
It is a premier club, great helpful staff, great equipment and amenities, been a member for 30 years, ...if you like pinochle come over for pinochle night ..for 7 dollars you get 2 draft beers, or wine, or other drinks, snacks, and prizes based on high scores and great socialization. ..if you like or want to try pickle ball it's the place...come for a tour and free day, ask for Murray Slayer, tell them Julio sent you..
I love that this club has a pool, sauna, steam room.
Timberhill is a great asset to our community. I've been a member since 1987 and have enjoyed the exercise classes and the court sports. It's super clean, well managed, and offers something for everyone. I've met a lot of people that I would never have known if I wasn't a member at TAC.
Friendly, wellness focused atmosphere. Couldn't get along without TAC.
Great club with a good therapy membership option for folks with injuries!
Everyone wearing masks, except those in pool. They're making an effort to clean regularly and give everyone space. One way route through building was confusing to my elderly mom. There was no "cleaned" treadmill when I arrived so I used a stairmaster.
A full service athletic club with courts, pools, workout areas, physical therapists, and child care.
Timberhill is a great place to work out. The people are very nice and the classes are for for everyone. The instruction.
Great instructors, classes, equipment & overall facility! Daycare, as well, if needed!
They have quite a variety of workout machines, massage things, and classes for different things. They also have three pool, two inside and one outside.
Oregon Physical Therapy at Timberhill is a great place to receive physical therapy. A very knowledgeable staff, especially Mike Joki.
I like Timberhill athletic club because I can meet friends there and play pickleball.
Family membership is one of the best deals in Corvallis as child care is included while you exercise or even just soak in the hot tub, busy parents lifesaver, just make sure you check the childcare schedule before you go.
Extremely friendly and organized staff, great facilities (recently renovated), lots of options, love the pools, sauna and steam room!!
Nice pool, friendly employees, great family activity
Clean friendly and all the equipment you will ever need
Been a member for years. Presently providing a safe place to exercise.
Worst gym ever! Outdated equipment and atmosphere! Deserves NO Stars!!!!
I tried to cancel my membership and they keep charging me for something I don t use. They make it difficult to cancel your membership!
Nice place to Play ball/ shower/ exercise/ and meet people.
Plenty of equipment, swimming pool, knowledgeable staff.
I was in Corvallis on business and stopped by to see if I could play some Raquet ball. I played 3 games 2 nights in a row. The people were friendly and I had a blast!!!
Best Place in Corvallis to workout, swim, play basketball, and socialize.
Great place to work out and swim. They have plenty of classes available that everyone will enjoy. I highly recommended.
Expensive gym membership but great gym. Worth every penny.
Kudos to the staff who are seen constantly wiping the exercise equipment; reminding members to cover their faces; arrows to keep traffic one way and taking temperatures at all entries. They have masks available on-site to help members comply.
I think they desperately need to remodel or lower the prices.
Not a very friendly staff in the membership department or the front desk. I have gone there during the school year for the past 3 years and the way they describe their student membership policy is always different. They have charged me many times without my consent and I have had to have payments refunded, credited to my account, or simply kept by them. It has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with the membership staff and the less than friendly front desk staff.
