Spacious, clean hotel in great location. We didn't have breakfast in our rate, so ate out. Did have 2 lovely meals in Cafe Jen. We used gym and pool, which were fine (chlorine was a bit strong in the pool). Most of all, we were happy with the location for sight-seeing and exploring the city, and shopping and eating nearby.

the bed n pillows were comfy. the location was convenient .
for 2 nights we bare with the loud noise from flashing of toilet. until we complain about it. noise gone but flashing water weak. have to pour water in to be able to fully flash down toilet paper .
reception staffs knowledge on the street foods were poor. gave us wrong information.
This is our first time staying at Jen! And from the moment we entered, we just love the place - it is very clean and makes us felt at home! The room is superbly clean and bedding is comfortable. Kudos to the entire team on the crowd control and SOPs during this RMCO season! Special mention to hospitality shown by the receptionist and the welcomer (the person who took the temp.), and especially the senior staff who served us while we are waiting to check-in and out (a senior staff that helps to validate our packing ticket), he is such a nice and helpful person!

The overall service was excellent especially the service from Club Lounge.
The staff were very friendly especially William, the young guy who was very approachable, friendly and efficient in his service.
However the staff from Gym need to improve their service as most of the time no one man the counter.
The hotel is located at a very convenient location near to a few shopping malls and eating outlets.
As usual, the staff in the Club Lounge provides good and prompt service. On 21 January, I was at the Club Lounge for drinks in the evening and one of the guests broke a glass. A Malay staff immediately took action to clean up the area. However, he slipped and fell in the same area moments later. Another staff (possibly the chef) then took the initiative to clean the area again. It was good to see that your staff helps each other out regardless of their ranks.
Yesterday, I was at Cafe Jen for lunch at about 2.15pm. The Indian female staff was good at recommending dishes in a nice, non-pushy manner which I appreciate. The food took a while to arrive. During the waiting period, this Indian female staff offered us drinks and another Indian male staff offered us titbits. The former also tried to seek help from her colleague(s). The waiting period issue was eventually resolved, thanks to her and her supervisor.
Good location and breakfast. Room is clean and facilities are decent. The Christmas decorations are pretty in the lobby. Will stay again.
A wonderful stay at your hotel. My wife and I stay around 70 nights a year in hotels and yours is up there with the best.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful at all times. The Club Lounge was excellent with a decent variety of food and drinks. Breakfast was also of a very high standard.

Friendly members of staff from the check in desk, concierge, Marea at Cafe Jen and the gentlemen at the club lounbge. The manager at the front desk was amazing as he ran down the car park stairs to return a discount to me which had not been given to me at the restaurant.
Overall experience is fantastic. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Club lounge service is good. Will be better if there are facilities for kids.
Pretty nice 4 star hotel in a good location adjusted in a shopping mall. I stayed in a club room that gave me access to the club lounge.well worth it.The gym is good and has a sauna :) give it a try if in Penang
Stayed one night at Hotel Jen. Room was spacious and clean, and comes with a King sized bed. Check in and check out were smooth and staff were friendly.
The room is very noisy especially in the late midnight. Not sure what sound is that ~ rumbling noise.... Does not happen all the time. Affecting my sleep.
We stayed at Level 14. Every night during the 3 nights, our sleep were disrupted by the loud, high pitched squealing of pipes in the rooms upstairs.
Overall very good, let down only by thin walls and other noisy guests in the corridor late at night.
Excellent breakfast, comfy bed, hotel in a great location.
In quick summary. Room is good, passable cleaniness and good room amenties. Sofa bed is hard though. Breakfast is fantastic in term of quality and spread. Look for the fresh orange juice or watermelon juice. If you have club amenities in your booking, remember to visit the club lounge for drinks and snacks but for breakfast, I will suggest having it at the level 1 main dinning area.

Centrally located in Georgetown. Easy access to food and shopping. There's a night hawker centre within 10mins walk with very good prawn noodles and orh jian.

Response to requests were a tad slow. Check out counters took quite a bit of time with printing receipts. But staff are polite and respectful. Especially love the food served at the lobby lounge/bar. Location was great. but the drainage system in the bathroom sink was horrendous. Told the staff about it but I doubt any maintenance was done as it remained the same throughout our stay. Water took 15min just to drain down even when you are just washing your hands.
Great hotel, very affordable by my standards and lounge was very nice.

Nice hotel and well maintained. Room is clean and spacious.
All is great except that there is no elevator to carpark and we had to climb stairs with our heavy luggage.
Also, we had to validate parking ticket before going out. If you take other hotels for reference, there are room for improvements.
Slow response of reception counter, customer was not adequately advised of free parking ticket procedure resulted inconveniences.
The hotel looks great. Taking professional step to ensure current virus attack season.
However, I would really appreciated if the hotel can consider to set up one fans in the room. This would really favor people who do not wish to use the air cond especially when it is always difficult to adjust.
Room is very clean, enough of TV channels to watch when bored. Near shopping centers. Staff are helpful. Free wafer in the room.
Room inventory stated weighing machine, but I couldn't find any weighing machine in the room.

We loved our stay at Hotel Jen. I stayed with my young son and it was the perfect location for us to go exploring the beautiful streets of Georgetown and is right next door to a mall which is very convenient. Our room was clean and the staff were lovely.
Food was great and very nice environment to have meetings. Parking is rm7 if having dinner there and chopped accordingly. Waiters are generally attentive.
Location quite centralised, close proximity to most places of interest. Room is comfortable, will definitely come back again.

The hotel's location is great if you wish to visit the heritage sites in Penang and frequent the numerous hidden bars and hawker centres in Georgetown.
The room was clean and comfortable, except for some stained sheets and bath towels. These were promptly changed after putting in a request with the operator. The drawback of the hotel is that parking space is extremely limited, the carpark was full on our second night due to what seemed to be an event. Fortunately, there was a security guard on duty to guide us. Also, the lack of lift access from the carpark to the lobby was quite an inconvenience.
Staff were OK but standoffish. Walked past multiple staff (housekeeping, bell staff, etc.) and were consistently ignored. Would have expected even a smile or simple hello. Was queuing up at the checkout desk and there was a front office associate standing about awkwardly right next to us, who didn't even acknowledge we were standing right next to her.
In spite of this, I'd probably return to Hotel Jen Penang in the future.

Going under renovations. Rooms are ok, but Dinning Rooms & receptions are very dated. Please spend some money and update, as you are in a prime location. I though the price could be cheaper.

The hospitality is great. The reception at the airport is exceptionally pleasant. The team at the hotel, the Cafe are polite, professional and attentive.
The breakfast reception is not good for me.
Seating seemed to be a huge hassle; telling us to stand back.

I was glad that the house maid provide me a comfortable chair for me in the bathroom. This is what I have requested for when I booked the Hotel cause I need to sit down to brush my teeth, my back have problem to bend down.

The only set back was the air-conditioning in my room. The temperature was not controllable. Even the next morning after I complained, I still cannot off it. It will turn on by itself.
