Beautiful restored building with 360 views on the roof top. On the ground floor you can experience tasty snacks surrounded by huge trees at the heart of Oxleas Woods.

Excellent little cafe on the ground floor of the castle with wide choice of hot/cold/sweet/savory and drinks. Dogs are welcome inside the gates of the castle, water for them provided. Viewing platform open some of the days during the week (briefly closed for winter though) with beautiful views all around. Recommended.

A very pleasant place to enjoy a coffee and light food surrounded by woodlands. Most od the seating is outdoors so it can get full on rainy days. You can climb to the top up a stone spiral staircase where there is a viewing platform to see fantastic views
across London. This costs a few pounds and there is no lift but it is worth the climb if you are able. On the way up two rooms have been beautifully restored and there are clear information panels about the history of the building.

Amazing little folly hidden in the woods overlooking London, run by volunteers. The view from the top is quite stunning and unexpected.
The food in the cafe downstairs may look more home-cooking than Michelin-starred, but it's really excellent - their quiche is to die for. Trust me, try it!

Admission fee is too much for what is actually there

Walked past it 100 time and today decided to soak up Feb sunshine with delicious cuppa and chocolate shortbread at an outdoor table. Viewing platform still closed until it gets warmer. Well worth the visit. Found a cow nearby too ;)

Gorgeous building with a lovely cafe inside. On Sundays you can climb the 100+ steps to tbe top and take i the epic views. Cant wait to go back.

Lovely little cafe with plenty of outside seating. Very dog-walker friendly (They even had special ice cream for dogs).

Seen on our walk through Oxleas Woods. Sometimes hold private functions so you can't go in.

What a lovely surprise this was to visit. The views were stunning and the guide was very knowledgeable. There was a little cost to go up but it was reasonably. The cafe at the bottom it a little pricey and not very generous. I had a jacket potato with chilli con carne but the amount of con carne was so small image would definitely not get that again. It was nice but about a teaspoon of mince and the rest juice and it still didn't cover the potato. Nice coffee but not much room to eat inside so best to go on a brighter day. Well worth a visit.

Nice little coffee shop. A little slow to make the coffees ,mostly due to the layout making it difficult for staff. Pleasant break in your walk.

The highest point in London you can see over seven county's from the top of the castle there is a tea room on the bottom, the woods are over 8,000 year's old surrounding the castle great for dog walking.

We attended a fantastic 'pop-up' restaurant event in the tower, with great views across London and counties. A unique and unforgettable experience.

Beautiful quirky site - very small but view from roof worth it on its own

Such a hidden gem. You have great views across London from the top can see the shard etc - when up the shard you can t see the tower for a few quid the views are just as good. The back story behind the tower is very sweet too. Everyone is friendly and very informative. The cafe is ideal too if selection of drinks and cakes and ice creams. Theresa woodland too that you can mooch through ideal dog walk if you have one. The kids loved it.

Love this place together with the surrounding grounds. Cafe is still open apparently one day a week although it slips my mind which day.

Lovely excursion with very knowledgeable volunteers who provide great detailed historical facts about the castle. The views of London and beyond on a clear day are also fantastic.

Amazing views all around. what's not to like? It's a neat castle in London, its not a huge castle tourist attraction, but equally pleasant.

The best view of London and surrounding I have seen

Lovely location for Severndroog castle hidden away in the woods. Cafe on ground floor has a good range of food and teas, coffees etc for the size of the space. It's open Thursday to Sundays. Viewing platform is open on Sundays with great views over SE London into Kent.

Great coffee, icecream. Lovely walks. Great view from the top. What's not to like?

So many childhood memories as I live and was brought up on shootershill it's a brilliant attraction five minute walk from my house

Redeveloped in 2014 this small castle is ideal to visit.

On a clear day you can see Windsor Castle.
Also there is a cafe on the ground floor that does a very nice afternoon tea with fresh scones.

Not a castle but a folley/memorial tower with cafe. Great views and walks through woods and open grassland. Free parking

An incredible view of London. And nice and quite place to have a coffee.

Visited a few times before and had no complains. Popped in last Sunday morning to grab some breakfast while walking my dog and was very disappointed. There were 2 young guys in charge who had no idea what they had in stock and showed very little interest in their customers. One kept giggling like a 10 year old girl when I asked a question. I hope the management can pull it together and train the staff. We are locals and walk our dog here every day so it will be a shame if this place doesn't make it.

Very busy but people kept their distance, building of course not open. Woods very noisey for this time of year (in a nice way) because if lots of parakeets.
