Great coffee amazing snacks especially the hot sausage rolls. Great treats for dogs. Really friendly staff and all maintaining social distancing. I recommend a visit and a dog walk/exercise in Jack Woods.

Always a beautiful ancient woodland surrounding the old folly. Popular with dog walkers and families. Different season/weather conditions give for very different experiences. One of my favourite photography locations.

Mara, David, and Chris helped transform an already picturesque location into the perfect wedding venue for myself and my wife. They made everything an absolute pleasure and added little touches that made the day even more perfect (like adding a Canadian flag!). The staff here really want to see your big day go better than you ever expected it. Highly recommend Severndroog not only as a place to explore and have a coffee or tea, but a venue to celebrate any of the most important moments of your life.

Forget Primrose Hill, this is by far the best vantage point in the city. On a clear day you can see as far as Windsor Castle (why you would wish to do so is between you and your binoculars) and then stay for the delights of the courtyard. A hearty musical evening accompanied by excellent food in the initimate woodland surroundings, there's really nothing to match it.

Lovely cafe in our beautiful woods. Staff are very accommodating. They baked my daughter a fresh croissant yesterday when she didn't want one of the cheese ones. Much appreciated. Delicious cake too.

A beautiful spot, just off a busy main road. But one that instantly makes you feel transported.

Plenty of wooded area to walk around with the family, or to bring your dog. But currently the castle and tea rooms are closed.

I will return to check them out once things open up, but for a nice stroll, well worth a visit.

The best bird's eye of London bar none and a real steal at only 3 quid. Only drawback is it is run by volunteers so you will have to keep a keen eye one opening times if you want to experience one of London's best kept secrets. Stunning !

I worked with the #SeverndroogFest team at the Castle (including the excellent & hard working volunteers) and it could not have been a more positive experience. I delivered an on-line working with clay workshop where the clay was delivered to local participants and then collected back in as beautiful tiles. The organising was slick & professional, the festival programming was imaginative and varied, the publicity was excellent and the follow up equally as good. The work produced was exceptional & provides a lasting and high quality outcome for local supporters of the castle. Thank you so much everyone in the team and the participants for such a good experience, I do hope we can do this again!

Beautifully restored tower folly in a corner of Oxleas Wood. Easy walking in the remains of the garden, fantastic views over London. Plenty of birds and, in summer, butterflies. Nice cafe with outside seating and restroom in the tower itself, ample parking a short walk away. Popular with local dog-walkers, always a good place to visit regardless of weather. A real treasure.

This little gem is only open at weekends, 10am - 4pm. There is a good cafe with homemade food inexpensively priced. The view from the top of the tower is very far on a clear day. I could see Windsor Castle! With the help of binoculars and guide.

Went on a beautiful day, the views at the top are one of the best over London. You can see 7 counties and the gentleman at the top gave us a great geographical lesson of all the spots - incl Windsor Castle and Alexandra Palace. Oxleas woods surrounding are great for walking too.

This is a lovely and not very well known spot. Worth planning to visit when you can walk to the top (limited opening hours) for one of the best views over London! The surrounding ancient woodland is also well worth a visit

Amazing views on a bright sunny day in December and as a bonus Father Christmas was there! The volunteers were all very helpful and well informed, and the restoration of the building is excellent. A really good experience.

A secluded castle in South-East London. It's a different and a bit distant view of London's skyline. There is a cafe on the ground floor but there isn't anything else nearby to see or explore. Being on the outskirts it is not that touristic and provides more chance to relax.

This castle is in fact a "folly" that a lady built in memory to her husband. The inside is only open on certain days of the week, so best check this before visiting. Winding stairs present access to small, historically-decorated floors and some interesting history. The view from the roof is the real highlight and it's probably worth picking a clear, dry day. Consider taking binoculars too!

Compared to the attraction itself, the cafe on the ground floor is open on more days of the week. It does light bites and serves some alcoholic beverages (eg wine) as well as soft drinks, coffee, tea and nice cake. From here there are good walks in the woods and you can also walk across to Oxleas Wood cafe (also visible from Google Maps). Some paths require outdoor-style or walking- boots if it had been raining, and there are muddy puddles to avoid on these woodland paths. The remains of an old house or estate add interest to the landscape. In late summer the wild blackberry bushes offer free fruit.

Overall, a recommended tourist attraction that is off the beaten track.
