Fabulous little zoo with a big personality! Animals are always happy and healthy looking... obviously well cared for and loved by their keepers.

It's no LA Zoo or San Diego Zoo but it's quaint with some cool exhibits. I enjoy going when I get the chance.

Bathrooms are never open. Other then that is beautiful and feels like home.

Love taking the grandkids. They love playing in the water. The Eagle is so cool to see.

They've really put a lot into this place. Pretty good for a small town zoo.

Nice little zoo. A few animals and birds. We will totally come back so soon as they finish the canopy walk. That will be an awesome addition to the park

Small-town zoo with enough variety for both young and old to enjoy. I would strongly recommend a visit.

Nice place but small not alot of animals.
The birds is the best because you get to go inside and be in there with them

Zootini at the Zoo was a great chance to dress up and enjoy good company. No pretension at all. I had fun wish I could've stayed the whole time.

Love this place they focus on animal health and happiness which many zoos do not do

Eh... it's alright. The best part is the petting area at the end with all the goats and sheep.

It's was good I went to this zoo when I was a kid and I got to bring my own kids to it it could use more animals but over all good

The animals are uncommon and we got a great experience with the red pandas and gibbons this visit. This zoo is small but mighty.

I think of a lot of zoos and I was disappointed in this month. I've been in towns smaller than Eureka with better zoos. I guess it's better than no sue for the kids there

This is the cutest little zoo you could visit, small enough to walk around in an hour or so but with enough exhibits and activities to entertain for much longer. A fun day activity for all ages

For a small town/city this is a great little zoo. Keep it up everyone your doing a fantastic job....we adore the petting zoo and indoor educational area

Not much variety but my town doesn't have zoo so I was excited.

Small zoo with some unique Animals. We loved the red pandas. And feeding time for the otters was fun too. Plus the zoo keepers took time out to explain why the primates ate special diets.

Supposedly theyre going to open up a skywalk thru the redwood trees at the park starting I side the zoo... That'll be sweet!

Stunning newly remodeled zoo located right next to historic sequoia park. Many cool and exotic creatures that all appear to be well taken care of.

Great place for a stroll or easy hike. Lots of shade and very peaceful.

My kids LOVE the water play area where they get to pump their own water and watch it trickle down the attack stream bed. This zoo has done a good job of designing interesting and interactive exhibits such as the otter viewing tunnel that extends under water, the giant eagle's nest, the wall-through aviary, and the barn/petting area.

Such a cute little zoo. The day we happen to be there admission was half off but even at full price it's only $10 each. They have a petting zoo in one area and the cutest little red pandas in another. On vacation in the region and stumbled on this place. Recommend it

Great starter zoo, kid-friendly exhibits, with helpful staff. I went with my grown kids on Earth day and was charmed. Go Eureka!

One of the best zoo's we've ever been too. Alot of space for the animals. Staff are Very knowledgeable

Sequoia Park Zoo is a very nice place to take young children.

The zoo is small but it's a fun little place to visit. The cafe is wonderful though! The food is great, the staff are very friendly and personable, and you can enjoy seating inside or outside. The prices are cheap and the food is great! My friends and I go at least once a week!

Great Park and beautiful setting! Lots of blind spots though if you are bringing little children; best to come with another adult if you have littles.

Its small, i feel bad for some of the animals due to the tiny enclosures. Animals need space to thrive. Has a permanent air of sadness about it

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to the zoo very much ! The staff was very helpful, and informative. My only complaint is when we went to go see the sea otters everyone crowded around, and being in wheelchair I was unable to see them very well :(!!

My fiance and I love this place. Excellent service. Awesome information on local attractions. Beautiful animals. Public restroom. Quaint gift shop. Really good food. Interesting and fun events. All ages. Discounts. My fiance and I get in free because we were in local programs. Which is nice. We can visit anytime. Beautiful location. Right between a flower garden with breathtaking floral delights when in season. With a park playground duck pond trails BBQ Areas picnic and parking. Gazebos and a kitchen and picnic area you an reserve for special events. Beloved ancient trees and you can walk drive bike through the park on certain days. Dogs are allowed. Great place to curl up and take a nap without interruption. Smells so earthly. Boffer wars is usually a fun event on Sundays. Or they were. You can hear the monkeys from the zoo. The ferns and trees remind me of something like Jurassic park. I really enjoy it here. Peaceful and serene.

Sequoia Park Zoo. It's small, but they have tons of events the keep things fun. Sequoia Park right next to, and behind it is beautiful. I lovingly call it my little piece of the forest moon of Endor. Visit and walk the small trail during sunset. Gorgeous.

We loved this place. Great fun for a low price. My daughter loved the "banyard" exhibit. Food was very good. Wife and I split a clubhouse and it was more than filling. Be sure to make time to visit the park next to the zoo.

All the staff are super friendly in this "fun sized zoo". The cafe food is surprisingly delicious and there are loads of activities for children! Be sure to stop next door at the playground in the redwoods afterwards.

The zoo tiny. But what can i expect? I'm so used to Brookfield zoo in Illinois. And that is huge. I've 200 acres or something like that. But, it was ten bucks to walk thru. There were some gibbons, a couple spider monkeys, 2 bald eagles, and some barnyard animals. My favorite, the red Panda, wasn't showing his face. Disappointed! There were a lot of animals not showing their faces! But, if it goes to a good cause then i guess it was worth it. My boy loves it!

If you want a real redwood experience you need to go south or north to see the old growth redwoods. Sequoia Park has some impressive redwoods but it lacks the giants to the north or south.

On the other hand if you're in town and want some place for the kids to play plus get in some redwoods. This is the place with a playground, picnic sites, and miles of trails in under the redwoods.

Compact.... informative.....nice change from larger zoos....

Always loved this zoo, since I was a kiddo it s been one of my favorite places in Eureka. Go early or during less popular hours, and don t forget to drive down to the duck pond! Marked down one star for a general lack of parking.

Great little zoo. Not big, but you can get up close and learn a lot. The otters stole the show! Beautiful setting in a grove of Redwoods.

This is a great little zoo with volunteer programs for kidsb like YAK, the Youth Assistant Keeper program.

It's our hometown zoo! It will always be special to me!

It's small but the monkeys were quite literally a hoot!

Sequoia Park Zoo is a small, and lovely place to slowly wander. From the full-immersion crawl-through tube in the Otter tank to the petting barnyard with goats and sheep (including Navajo Churro), a gorgeous array of flamingoes, and the Red Pandas, it's a family favorite. Monkeys, Bush Dogs, Llama, Burros, Alpaca, and spiders! I was afraid my 11 and 17yr old would be bored, but not for a minute did they stop. Immediately upon entering they had certain animals of interest, and they were *so* excited when they found them.
It's a jewel.

Not a huge zoo, but the cuteness of the red pandas and the cheap admission price is great.
