I'm sure this would have been a great place had we stayed! The sweet lady at the desk told us that if we were tourists n since we had mostly adults we would not want to take time for this place....it's small child friendly....she gave us all kinds of help n places to go! Thanks so much for doing more then jus trying to sell us a ticket into your zoo! We greatly appreciate what you did!
This was the coolest place. It wasn't very big, but it was by far one of the neatest animal parks/zoo's, reserves, etc that I have visited. As soon as we went in we saw some howler monkeys, are they were awesome. I stayed at the monkey cage for probably half an hour or longer and came back to them before I left for the day. They had several other unique and interesting creatures. I would definitly go there again to see what new or different they may have gotten.
Nice small zoo with a decent selection of animals. It's no San Diego Zoo, but it doesn't try to be either. It has friendly staff that are well versed in the habits and facts of the animals residing at the zoo. An especially great place for families to go since it is very kid friendly.
Small but really great for the area. Can't wait for the tree top walk should be awesome
Although not many animals it was nice to get outdoors and see the monkeys , birds flamingos but the otters stole the show.
It's ok, it takes maybe 20 minutes to tour this zoom and habitats are really tiny! Never had their food, however when they host events their food is always good.
Nice zoo for the small size. Good summer programs for kids.
Kids absolutely loved this place. Although small, they have animals I haven't seen anywhere else.

I am a zoology major at humboldt state so I was excited to find a zoo so close to school! The Sequoia Park zoo is pretty small but is an accredited zoo and has nice enclosures and a variety of animals. I enjoyed the zoo so much I started working here! The zoo hosts a barnyard with a touch area, two avieries ( one you can walk through, and another for rehabilitated birds) multiple types of birds and large species like red pandas and otters. This is also only 1 of 8 zoos to have Bush Dogs, and to hopefully start a breeding program they are bringing one in from France soon! The zoo is pretty low price so you can bring the whole family. The cafe is highly rated and there are plenty of features and animals to interest any age! So come visit and say hi to everyone, including Chester the zoo cat:)
Be sure to visit at 3:00 pm... that is when they always feed the otters! Starting from about 2:00 until they get fed, they are really active and visible.

This is a well organized small zoo that reflects an animal friendly educational mission. I love taking my grand kids there. The otter display got a high national rating.
This place is AMAZING! I've never been in the zoo but being under the canopy is truly fantastical.

Such a cute fun size zoo! This place is the perfect size! They have otters, spider monkeys, flamingos, exotic birds, petting zoo area and more! The gift shop had something for everyone! We had lunch at their cafe then ice cream later and it was delicious! The staff could have been a bit more friendly but idk maybe it s just their personalities. I doubt I ll ever come back to Eureka but if I do you better believe I m coming back to this little gem!
Family and I love going to the Zoo! We even have a membership, that should tell you how much we love this Zoo! Definitely go here it you love animals and want a good walk.
