My grandaughter will be two in May. The zoo is her favorite place to go. She loves the Yak, petting the sheep and goats, and of course playing in the water. The ice cream and sweet potatoe fries aren't to be passed up.

I love this little zoo! It is small enough that I can take my toddler there without pushing a massive Stroller Assault Vehicle for miles and miles. There is a water feature next to the otters that my son played in while I zonked, er..rested on the multitude of benches placed around the park. The animals are interesting and what I would consider uncommon for most zoos. They seem well cared for and their habitats seem to be engaging for them so you don t look in the cage and think you poor bored bastard , while simultaneously in a jealous rage that they can sit around and do nothing all day while your toddler attempts to jump every barrier possible. The food at the small cafe was quite good as well. Would highly recommend.

This was a great birthday experience for my grandson! It wasn't too busy to actually enjoy the whole park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is they aren't finished adding all of the new areas yet!!

The zoo is very small and does not have a large variety of unusual animals. However the staff is very pleasant and there is a young lady who works with the barnyard animals who very obviously loves the animals, loves her job and had a lot of information about the animals. If I could remember her name I would totally give her a shout-out. She rocks.

it's alright. nothing to rave about. great if you have kids. They've been improving it over the years, so I recommend at least checking it out once and maybe checking back every once in awhile to see if there have been any updates.

Well kept facility. Many awesome animals all being taken care of by caring and attentive staff. Great for littles on up to 100 plus. Easy clear walking paths, a water feature, and well sized enclosures. I'm looking forward to the elevated deck they are planning for next year. So you can experience the animals from above as well as ground level.

It is a small zoo but is a nice zoo. Staff are very friendly. When we were there one of the staff very nicely chatted with us while she was feeding the animals. If you're ever in Eureka I recommend checking it out.

This is a tiny but charming zoo. As should be expected in a small city like Eureka, this zoo doesn't have any of the large animals such as elephants, lions or giraffes, but it is a nice local attraction, esp for families with small kids. The food there is also quite reasonable for a zoo.

This pint-sized zoo, with nearby onstreet parking, is packed with fascinating and entertaining zoological wonders. Did you know that a spider monkey has no thumbs on its hands, but has a big thumb on its tail? Or that shrews can eat their More

Had a great time with the family. We have a fifteen month old that we took there. We had an outstanding time. We first walked in had lunch. They have an outstanding menu for family's. I had the polish dog, which was delicious. My wife got chicken strips. Chick was good, just little small in my point of view. My wife thought chicken was the perfect size. We got a grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter. My wife and I both had a bite. I have to say it is the best grilled cheese sandwich I ever had. I was really surprised. Then we got desert. My wife had a normal ice cream. I got there home made cookie sandwich ice cream. The Zoo had a huge variety to choose from. I had white chip macadadium nut with vanilla ice cream. Was hard to eat at first. I strongly recommend to let cookie thaw so cookie not rock hard and ice cream just slightly melting. Oh la la, really good desert.

Then we did our rounds looking at the monkeys working our way by the fish. Really cool to see the Bold Eagles. Then we made it all the way to the barn yard petting Zoo. The. We made it back to the front. Zoo not big. But Zoo super nice to catch quick bite to eat the. Enjoy seeing some exotic animals get your kid tired so they will take a long nap.

Another added bonus. The Park next door. So if your kids still not tried you can finish them off at the park.

I recommend looking at the Zoo prices. We got the family pass. My wife routinely goes to the zoo either once a week or every other week depending on weather. She says during the week so dead really nice to walk with our daughter. Hopefully this helps someone.

I was very disappointed, there weren't many animals, it just felt dry, greenery not well kept. Being a native of Humboldt, it's really gone down in appeal. I took my great grandson, to enjoy the area. We were so disappointed, no otters? Where are they.

Very small zoo. Enclosures much too small for the animals. All the animals seemed miserable. Very sad experience and disappointed with the overall size. I think that zoos need more regulations regarding the size of animal enclosures, and if cities or towns are unable to meet those requirements, then they should not have a zoo, Period!

Beautiful zoo tucked away in the redwoods. Many exciting animals and education surrounding local species and habitats. Garden and park with hiking trails adjacent. Awesome petting zoo.

This is a very small zoo. There aren't many supper thrilling animals, but what they do have are cute and generally easy to observe. My sons liked going there for short walks (short because it is so small). The prices are a little high in my opinion because it is difficult to spend even an entire hour here.

Great

This is the best little zoo! We almost always pay a visit when we're up seeing my grandpa. The best exhibit is the red pandas. If you go for feeding time, you can actually see them moving around and even come up close. The otters are fun to see but they weren't out on our last visit. There was a new installation of some bush dogs that looked like baby bears. They moved around a lot too.
