Out standing skating rink, flawless floor with unbelievable grip, state of the art sound system, JBL speakers arranged in such a fashion that the sound quality is consistent no matter what part of the rink you are on, super clean facility, very friendly staff. A large group of us from Tampa ( The U Crew from United skates ) travel two hours each way just to skate there . We feel very welcomed and are respected and treated with courtesy by all of the local skaters and the entire staff; well worth the drive. We had the pleasure of meeting new people and making new friends ... I want to add an update to my review, on Sunday, May 26 2019, 8:00 to 12:00 evening Skate, one of our Tampa U Crew members from United States took a fall, The cause was a loose skate boot lace that became tangled up in a wheel, immediately after the fall a off-duty employee was there within seconds, she handled it perfectly !! Stop the music Lights on Clear of the floor ! She went above and beyond the call of duty, and every other skater there that evening !! This is why I love my Skating family Everyone helped with the first aid , we were surrounded with compassion !! I am happy to report that the fallen skater is making a full recovery Semoran Skateway Rocks

I went as a group with tons of other people. The beginners' rink was greatly appreciated!

This rink isn t beginner friendly. The music is terrible, not a fan of it at all. The attendant named John was very rude and annoying. He was pestering me the whole night. Wouldn t recommend.

My 12 year old meets her friends here and they have lots of fun. It s about $10 per person, not too bad. My only issues are- the entry wait time and building could use renovation. She rated 4 stars.

I love this skating rink and I used to faithfully go 3 times a week, but this is the only skating rink that I go to where it s a thousand rules to obey. I get that skating rinks have rules and regulations, but when you can t even listen to your own music off your phone or MP3 then that s just stupid. They want you to have only one ear piece in and there music is 10 times louder then the music you re listening to which is so dumb. Overall, this is a great skating rink, but no other skating rink has all the rules that they have. Not that my little money matters , but I was going faithfully every week spending at least $40 + ..... let these people listen to their own music and actually get more music for rhythm skaters as you have different types of skaters that come to your rink!

We came here for our Elementary school event. Facilities were great but the DJ was down right rude and talked for half the event. He laughed at his own jokes and really shouldn't be around kids. Kids just want to skate, not hear him talk.

My daughter loves that place her and her best friend go every Saturday

My children love it I went there when I was a teen and they have updated.

Went for a birthday, music was great but at the end of the day when I went to get my shoes someone stole them they should have another way of security the only answer I got was that I should of put them in a locker...if you have shoes rent a locker...hope I get them back not nice to steal

Great place to go for a day or night with the family. We had a fun time skating around. It definitely is tricky at first after not skating in so long though. They have a beginner area towards the backside. We took the kids there and let them practice the whole time. They do have pretty tightened skates to help kids not fall as easily but only up to a certain size. My son was super wobbly and had issues staying up. My daughter on the other hand had the pre-tightened skates and was smoother at not falling.. lol! They have great pizza too. We got a pizza to share and a pitcher also. I'd totally go here again!

Went here just to fit my wife for some skates. Jaime was patient and provided us with what we wanted along with some suggestions. Afterwards, we walked around the rink to have a look around. The place was clean, music fresh and overall looked entertaining. Now, we didn t skate that night, but we plan on visiting and doing some skating in the very near future.

Kids VIP Birthday party: The hostess was amazing. We brought food and by the time I went to set up the food, it was already done. The room neon party room was decorated well but we did not spend much time in there. The kids had so much fun and we loved the separate kid rink with side rails. My daughter went in needing help skating in the kiddie area and left skating in the adult area with confidence. All of the kids improved with skating in just one day. The employees are there to help and are very kind with falls and assuring everyone has safe fun. I would recommend anyone who wants a reasonable priced birthday party to check their packages out. Our family had a wonderful time thanks to Semoran Skateway. If I could give 10 stars I would. Party Date 5/25/19

This place is awesome & MIGUEL IS THE BEST!!! Me and my family are regulars because of it. Miguel needs to be in the DJ Booth way more often playing all the great beats he does.
He knows the kind of songs everyone likes & can actually skate/jam too which makes a world of difference out on the rink and your experience here. Semeron Skateway - Get Miguel in the booth !!

Very well taken care of rink. Usually go on Saturday nights. Decent music. There is a time when everyone is asked to exit the floor and rules are stated clearly. Then, everyone is released back to skate and the rules are barely enforced. This makes for a more dangerous and less enjoyable night. At minimum, if the rule of slower skaters staying to the inside was enforced all the other rules that are ignored and barely enforced-like no cell phones/no hats/no bags-would be contained in one zone.

Be coming here since the "80's". I have since traveled the world, it is the best rink...floor is in the best condition, facility is clean, & staff is nice. Check it out!

Please do not take your kids to this skate place! All they care about is money. I have gone to this skate place 4 times this year for my kids skate night and all 4 times I had problems with them and now I refuse to go back. the last time I went my daughter had sprained her ankle a couple of days before and she just wanted to go to watch the rest of her siblings skate even though she was not skating they still charged me for her admission and her skates, even though on the flyer it says that they do not have to pay to watch do not give them any money they are not worth it! instead spend your money on taking your kids out to eat!!,

I go here every Sunday with excitement to go skating. I always have fun when I m skating and I enjoy the fun activities they have. The only reason why I made this review a 4 star is because the food at the snack bar is not that great. Besides that, I love it!

This Place Was Nothing Like An Ordinary Skating Rink, My Friends And I Absolutely Loved It There!

Best skating rink experience in the state!! The wood floors are smooth and so enjoyable to skate on!! I love everything about this rink!!

This place is very family oriented with affordable prices and classes for those new to skating. The staff is super friendly and they even remembered me when I went for two weeks in a row with my family

One of the best skating floors on the east coast! So smooth and fast. Good mix of music a bit of new and old something for everyone. We live in Savannah, GA and found this gem of a rink while on vacation. We will definitely make more trips to Semoran Skate way!

We had a BLAST! Mrs Derby is supper nice and we are now about to watch our first roller derby! And ps there is NO racism (my daughter is bi-racial and that is something I am really cautious about and after previous comment almost didn't go but am SO happy i did!) but a few of the employees are black and it was a pretty even well blended crowd. Don't follow googles hours tho! Call or check the website Will definitely be back and definitely recommend!!

Came for a party. They followed Covid restrictions well and it was a ton of fun. Its the skating rink as you always remember it to be.

By far the best place to roller skate in Orlando. Great folks and good times. Who that's lived in Central Florida has not been there and enjoyed themselves? If you're looking for something to do while visiting Orlando, I highly recommend that you check them out!!

From my experience in business reviews are very important!!
Upon reading the reviews for the skating rink it seems anybody that's not Caucasian has rated it low . The owner never once addressed the issue of racism in complaint... Only the credit card over charge ...calling it an honest mistake? ...no not really ,not professional!
Orlando is a wonderful place (to visit) but you do have to be very careful where you go

you can either end up in a very ghetto unsafe neighborhood or you can end up in a very European section - one that doesn't allow your color due to perhaps previous bad experiences of other minorities
This is a dilemma I seem to be facing .
As much as I would like to try this skating ring my tolerance for racism is running too thin and I need to keep composure as i am going to be with 3 amazing 10 year old girls this weekend...
Were trying to give them a wonderful time..my daughter just received her new skates... I hope the ratings for this place to improve.. especially where minorities are concerned

Floor is really taken care of well. The most important part of the rink is well maintained floors. Heard some parents complaining today that the rink is "super strict.". Well, yes, rules help keep the facility nice for all to enjoy. This rink has been in business for many years because they care and enforce protocols. It's a tough industry to keep going, and kudos to Semoran Skateway for persevering and giving kids a reason to participate in a fun activity. We skated here many years ago and now have our granddaughter enjoying it.

Me and my group travel all the way from south Florida just to skate at this establishment. We absolutely love it. The staff are accommodating to us and the floor is perfect. I look forward to coming back.

I liked the rink. It had good games but they Dont let u do anything. You are not allowed to go fast and your not allowed to be on your phone. And to get your attention they blow a whistle at you. The refs here are terrible and rude. They treat us very poorly. You are not allowed to dance and they non stop blow the whistle. I do not plan on coming back with my father I know other and better skating rinks.

Someone stole my son s sneakers on Thursday and the owner nor managers have returned any of my calls. It was a day that several daycares and school programs were there and all I would like to know is which ones were there so I can make a few phone calls. I work really hard for my kids things and to have someone steal it because they like it or want it is crazy. All I would like is a return phone call with the information I m requesting. If I do not receive a phone call today I will being coming in to speak to someone face to face.

I love Semoran and have been coming here for decades, but the lack of attention by certain floor guards to stop cell phones on the floor is frustrating. As well as the fact that inexperienced skaters are allowed to participate in advanced skates. Having inexperienced skaters sit out allows them to be inspired by the skaters that have earned their place with sweat and bruises and have purchased specialized gear to enjoy skating even more. Semoran, honor your long-time customers by giving them their time on the floor without being put in danger by extremely new skaters.

You can't go wrong with some roller skating on a weekend afternoon! My girls love to skate and this place is the only place in town (I think). It's not necessarily cheap but also not super-expensive. There's crappy snack foods and drinks inside and all the skating you can handle. Sometimes it feels like you've traveled back in time in this joint....and that's fun!

I went with the family last night and had a ball. Brought me so many good memories from when i was a teenager Lol.It's a very nice friendly place to bring your family or friends and enjoy many good laughs. The staff are very nice and helpful. I would definitely bring my family here again and would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday night for a date after dinner. The employees were very nice, happy and willing to help. The rental skates were of good quality and the bathrooms were clean. There were people of all ages enjoying themselves. This looks like a good spot for my kids birthday party. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I don t even know where to begin I have seen live roaches crawling on the carpet I have seen a roach on the food counter and live roach in the skate box the food taste terrible the service is terrible they do not clean the skates I have smelled a strong odor of marijuana all around the building before I spoke to a worker about it and the worker told me people rent out the rink and smoke weed in it TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE

My family and I went there for the first time and it was ok. They have different games for skating and arcades but some of the arcades RIP you off, you pay but can't play. When you go to get your skates you get them yourself in the skate room but they don't have disaffecte spray for the skates. We will not be going back there

went to this rink when traveling over a year ago. being from Australia we have several rinks but nothing like this venue. Great setup, well organised i hope it is there when i come and visit again.

The music is amazing at this skating rink and the best part is that there is a mini rink in the back for beginners. I drive 35 minutes just to get to this rink when I have one 10 minutes away.

If you know how to skate and love skating this is your rink. Prices of snack bar items and tastiness are not important when you're their to SKATE! If you know anything about floor coating then you know that Semoran has the best floor in Florida! Love this place with all of my heart!

Adult night ...worst DJ ever. Dont play 3 songs at once like a mix. Maybe in The begining a little...then move on to the actual song. Songs do not mash well for long periods of time. Plays like 3 songs with same other song constant in background entire 3 songs. What is that ??!! Which beat to I skate to ? Came with a group to skate to good music not what this DJ thinks is some sort of mix. Horrible !!! Was trying out adult nights. Have to try another rink and hop they have a DJ that knows what he is doing. Music selection is horrible. One good song to 5 crappy ones. Maybe he should visit other rinks to see what's good.

This is definitely my favorite place to be when I'm not busy. The rental skates are pretty darn decent! It tends to get very crowded on weekends though and no one wears a mask while on the rink. I know it's really annoying, but please try to wear a mask as much as you can! I unfortunately caught the Carona virus back in July after thinking skating without would be safe. It's really not worth it.

The whole staff is excellent and the atmosphere except for the referees are rude and dont know how to treat children or speak with any respect at all

I came in to buy outdoor wheels it wasn t yet time for them to open but I was only buying wheels they let me in to but wheels.let me say very nice crew christy and Sean I was greeted by Sean was a pleasure so polite and made sure I got the right wheels was who I spoke to on the phone Tony made Suurrreee those skate where right he had his tools and all I really felt special in this place and I didn t skate or do anything else I simply dealt with those around me and it was amazing I couldn t ask for any better customer service.Christy I didn t forget about you I sat and listened to her talk to people with such kindness her voice makes you feel so warm now I can t wait to bring my kiddos to come and skate

By far the best roller skating rink in Central Florida. No one else even comes close. I love this place.

Great place for a family night out. They have games, food, and a smaller area for beginner skaters. The place is large enough that when there's lots of people you aren't bumping into others. It's also clean, well lit, plenty of parking, and lots of places to sit. I definitely recommend!

I am from alabama and have work at a few rinks and it was a nice place to bring my kids to let them learn to skate and i loved how nice the floor was. Me and my kids had a good time

Amazing place! Clean, rules are followed. This is the only skating rink I can skate in!

Been going for years to this skating rink and it has really gone down-hill. The staff has forgotten how to smile or provide customer service so they get return business. They forgot that paying customers is the reason they get paid. There is a newer manager that is a completely rude, ungrateful, and just plan old nasty hag, especially when owners not around. The only person you get politeness from now-a-days is Debby (the owner), Jen (D.J.), and Ernie. I will no longer have birthday parties or private events there until they learn about customer service and turn their attitudes around. Snack bar employees tend to have typical teen attitudes and "I don't care" thought process. Cashiers letting you in tend to treat you like cattle. Some of the DJs don't know "variety", Jen is the only one that seems to play a "fair" variety. What do you expect from a skate rink I guess? But if they want to improve and have more business instead of staying mediocre they should really focus on how they treat the customers and talk to all their employees.

Semoran Skateway is an amazing place. Every time I come here I always have fun with my family. It's a great atmosphere they have great food at the snack bar. My favorite part about Semoran Skateway is that they host schools for their skate nights. I always go to Every skate night for English estates with my daughter. It'll be sad next year when she changes schools.

It's fun and it's good to bring friends and family as a group had a great time

I think for a skate rink this is as good as it gets. I have a 2.5 year old and a 4.5 year old. We did the tiny tots class. Will go back.

What TERRIBLE SERVICE tonight!! The new girl in referee t-shirt comes to me after 10 minutes on the floor and tells me that I needed toe stops so that I don't damage the floor with my metal plates. I get it. Never have our skates been checked when entering so fail on your part. The best way to have handled the situation since they singled me out, was to bring me two toe stops and kindly ask me to use them and then return if I were not able to purchase them for $10 dollars. Why mess with my groove after entering the dance floor!?? Now, I have been coming here since October and have roughly spent close to $300 dollars coming every Tuesday, my wife and two kids. Not sure if I'll come back since this, but losing steady business like ours only causes a ripple effect in these uncertain times. One has to ask if these may be reasons why small businesses fail. Just bad service :(

My daughter loves coming to this place every weekend and hanging out with her friends. I love being able to come and skate with her or just drop her off and know she is safe. We love the day sessions and the night sessions they have . Well kept skating rink !!!

Ehhh it s ok but no enough, bad service, they don t use mask, most of them, they don t clean the shoes, people go fast and it s very dangerous for people who just want to learn and have Some fun.

Ok spot for skating. Lots of kids but that's expected. $23 for two adults after 8 on a Friday so kinda pricey? Good time for a birthday party that's for sure.

Rude staff. They need to have higher standards in customer service communication especially in an atmosphere where there are children.

I would never throw another birthday party here. It s terrible for birthdays. Period the staff are nice but their operation for birthdays are terrible

This rink appears to be a fun and eye opening place, especially for parties. I came here for my cousin Leah's 8th birthday and i'm proud to say that the family and I had a lot of fun! I highly recommend this rink
