A very lovely group - every person I came in contact with from Debi at the front desk to Dr. La Follette made me feel welcome and cared for. Super friendly and helpful. I had to switch doctors after seeing my ob/gyn for about 35 years so we tentative but those feelings dissipated by the end of my appointment. Excited to move forward in their care and confident they will have my best interests in mind.

Dr. LaFollette is knowledgeable, caring and efficient. She gets right to the heart of the matter and discusses the best way to handle your needs. The office staff is responsive and courteous.

I have HPV cancer multiple times and Dr. La Follette has been my advocate throughout it all. She has helped me understand the issues, fought to get me the best treatment and the best doctors, stayed with me every step of the way, has gone so far above and beyond that I can not do her justice. Suffice it to say she has kept me alive. I have never met a smarter, more passionate, more knowledgeable, and kinder doctor ever.

Wow what a great experience! So clean and friendly. I didn t wait and was seen right away. Everyone was so professional and I love the energy. I m so glad I found Dr. Follette as my new obgyn. She s amazing!

This office was amazing, incredibly professional, and let me know up front upon calling about the $150 fee they charge for service. I find it ridiculous that the previous reviewer was "shocked" by this very reasonable annual fee, which the staff told me about immediately when I called in, and before I booked my appointment. This office should call this a "premium service fee" rather than an "administrative fee".. because, frankly, "you get what you pay for." Folks that are "shocked" by this level of fee, which is less than what they may have spent on a pair of jeans.. might consider reprioritizing amazing health care ahead of other expenses.

In any case, it was clear to me from the start that the reason they have this fee is to make the office nicer, warmer, with better quality soft fabric gowns and other amenities that make it feel far more welcoming than you average gynecology office. For me, an extra $150 to ensure I am in the most comfortable, high quality, clean and warm-feeling office possible, is well worth it.

Now to the service - the staff was incredibly nice, professional, and thoughtful. And Lizellen is amazing... to say that she's the best gynecologist (and coolest) that I've met, is an understatement. She was overwhelmingly helpful, funny, and engaged. I was thrilled to meet such a cool lady, and to get to have her as my doctor. Moreover, she's super sharp -- Harvard undergrad, deeply thoughtful, asking about health issues far beyond the required gynecological questions - she's the real deal.

I HIGHLY recommend this office, and Lizellen.

Dr. La Follette is amazing! Her bedside manner is superb. She is incredibly thorough. Her approach to clinical decision making is thoughtful and comprehensive. Because of her kindness and engaging sense of humor, you will enjoy your visit while getting terrific care!

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable office, very knowledgeable and efficient care from the doctor.

I got my second Mona Lisa Touch treatment and am VERY PLEASED as I was having increased discomfort and dryness with the approach of menopause. Dr. La Follette and her assistant were fun and quick and I was in and out in a flash. I'd recommend this treatment to ANY woman with age related vaginal issues. Worth every penny (if sex and/or a healthy vagina is important to you).

Shocked!!!! Not only do we pay for insurance, but this office has a "pay to play" policy. $300 a year, just to use this office....on top of your normal copays and insurance!!!!!!!! But don't worry, if you only need one appointment the fee is only $150.....sheesh! This is textbook greed and deterred my wife and I from using their office, and we will be sharing this within the mothers community!

I hope they collected enough fees, because I hope they never have another patient.

I had a wonderful birth experience with Dr Lizellen. She was patient, explained everything, cheered me on during labor - I felt so supported with her as my doctor.

Her uplifting energy makes doctors appointments a delight!

When/If we have another baby she will definitely be my doctor.

For anyone who lives in SF:
We live in Pac Heights and liked that we could deliver at CPMC in SF or Marin General. We opted for Marin General (parents live close and I was born at MG) but the flexibility was a huge bonus as we were figuring out the birthing location.

The office is clean and fun and the whole staff is lovely.

BEWARE of this office!
I made an appointment, gave my insurance information over the phone, and was confirmed that all was good.
HOWEVER, after I filled out all the necessary paperwork in the office- right before I was about to see the doctor, the office personnel said she forgot to mention that there was a $300 administrative fee separate from the insurance payment!!!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding me?
There was no respect for my time to travel to the office.... no concern for my time it took to fill out all those forms without first informing me of this charge, and no responsibility by the office personnel that she FAILED to tell me about the fee over the phone while I was making my appointment.
This was a true disgrace to my time, and ineptitude of the office.
BEWARE before you become a patient.

Dr. La Follette and Dr. Dela Merced are truly the best. Not only do I know that I am receiving great care and trust them completely, but both women truly take the time to get to know their patients and go above and beyond as doctors. With two very different personalities, both are kind, caring, supportive, reassuring, and professional. I recommend this practice to anyone looking for an OBGYN who truly takes care to the next level.

Fr La Follette always takes time with all of your needs and the best is you do not feel rushed, I believe she cares about each individuals concerns.

Fantabulous as usual! Wouldn't trade Dr. DE LA MERCED FOR EVEN A KAZILION $$$$DOLLARS!

An office visit with Dr L is an uplifting experience! Who would have thought...

Dr LaFollette is an amazing physician. She delivered my child 18 years ago and has provided excellent service since that time. Her bedside manner is impeccable.

I had a great experience with Dr. De La Merced. I was going to my doctor in SF for awhile since I had not found a local doctor that I liked. Dr. De La Merced is professional, informative and has a warm demeanor. I m so happy I found her!

Dr. La Follette is great! I have been seeing her for the past 4 years and I just love knowing I m good hands and she s got my back. She is easy to talk to, she gets right to any point and is very sweet, information and funny. She s quick so you may want to come with questions written out so you don t forget though she s also quick to reply to questions I ve email her. I also like Dr. Dela Merced but have mostly seen Dr. La Follette.

She is very patient oriented, takes time to explain things, and is a good listener. She is very knowledgeable and has a great demeanor and positive personality.
