Fun place to take my daughter. It looks a little run down, but they've made improvements, and there's a nice family atmosphere.

Been here several times with my grandkids place is wonderful and the staff is awesome always paying attention and looking out for kids making sure everyone is safe
Skating was fun. Drinks were good. 1 issue though, If you request any music thats not "popular" they wont play it. For example I requested 4 times to play Black parade by My chemical romance and they didnt play it. But they played Humble by kendrick lamar. Its not a HUGE issue, Its just very annoying that they are close minded on certain types of music.
I ve been coming here for the last few weeks with no issues. I had a teal headband on, and I am growing out my hair so I need it to hold my hair back. A woman who works here stops me and says I need to take it out because no bandanas are More
The place is clean and music is good. The biggest problem are the people in the front office. I ask a question about a transaction because they machine wasn't working and I had two pending transactions from them swiping twice. The response I got was well you need to call the bank that's not our problems, we didn't charge you.
Love my Saturday morning skate time with the family! Great place to do it!
If only they didn't play such dirty and inappropriate songs in the presence of children the place would be better. Also it isn't very beginner's friendly as they don't offer trainers. I've seen kid after kid fall to the ground without anything to hold onto. It's pretty and way less crowded than Astro but it sure needs to improve.
One of the best all round Rinks there is, been doing it correct since 1978.
So much fun on skate night for the lakemont elementary school. The adults show the kids what's up.
Great place horrible customer service, I don't recommend this place for party's. You're not done eating pizza or singing happy birthday when the waitress is handing you the bill. No napkins provided. Very stressed out angry employees. My son has autism and all of the children that we're attending the party, so disappointed with the staffs attitude.
It's always a blast from the past for me. One of the coolest things though; it's a blast for my daughter's future. True family fun. Plenty of room, the floor is always perfect. Music from many generations and it's all good.
This was my families 1st time here for school night. We had a good time. There is a nice big track as well as a little track for newbies to practice on.
Music wasn t good. We asked if they could livin it up a little, but they didn t. The referee, John, on the rink was also very rude. As soon as I stepped onto the rink he was rushing me to get to the middle because I wasn t going fast enough. He did this multiple times.
This place is still awesome...I grew up skating here for birthday parties and school events, and now my children are doing the same thing. They have maintained it well. Price is pretty good for what you get. Definitely recommend taking your kids here for something different.
Wow used to come here as a kid. Kept me out of a lot of trouble. Glad it's still going strong!
Classic skating rink experience. Good wood floor. Lots of activities. Still a strong business doing what it needs to provide enjoyment for families. Birthday parties. Adult nights. Kid days. Semoran continues to deliver. Same old place, same old feel, continually being kept up. Makes it perfect for families who have grown up around the area. Hopefully it stays a small icon of Orlando.
My husband and I have been coming here for over a year. Everyone is polite the music is great and we highly recommend this wonderful skating rink.
I miss my favorite rink.. can't wait till semoran skateway reopens. I will be there asap!
I love love this place because of the staff real cheep prices love it
This is the most well maintained rink in the area. It could be better if the rules were inforced on the skate floor.
It's a fun place to be at I go there whith my sister
The skate shop is great! I bought my first pair of skates here! (SG Rock GT50) sellers are knowledgeable about skates and they have a lot of products. The rink is great also but there s too many times you have to exit the skate floor for games and things which cause much less skate time, which knocks a solid 45 minutes off your skate time here. but it has good room and isn t too busy.
it has always been super fun, I've been going since i was a kid. BUT today i went with a group of friends and they wouldn't play any songs that we requested, but yet they played a bunch of vulgar rap music?? don't get me wrong i enjoyed myself, but i don't think they should have a song request list if they aren't going to use it.
Smells like toe jam
Great rink though.
We have booked two private event per year for since 2002! Staff is friendly and accommodating while being firm on rules. Semoran Skateway is a gem in Casselberry.
We usually visit Semoran Skateway when it's a school skate night and it's always been a pleasant experience. The kids love it and can't get enough of the place. Recently, we visited, and a friend slipped and hurt her wrist but the staff were really kind to help us and offer to have the manager see to the situation as well. I found that thoughtful. When you call them, they are ever so courteous and kind.
I had a fantastic time skating here. But last time I was there the skate floor could use resurfacing especially directly in front of the skate room. But the rink offers an area with a rail on the wall behind the main rink for new skaters and for careful warmup for individuals who have not skated in a while, Without the worry of falling down on a busy skate floor.
Fun grown atmosphere... Looking forward to going again..
Semoran skateway is the only place I can truly be myself
Neat that this place is still open. My Friday nights when I was 14 and 15 were spent here in the 80s. Was awesome 35 years and probably still is.
Great time with good music. I was surprised to hear some songs that i knew! I did not skate but the young ones had a great time. There is certainly something fun about seeing people go round and round.
I'd like to give all young adults a warning against visiting this establishment, as the owner is very discriminatory and assuming towards young people in my experience. I visited Semoran Skateway last night with my girlfriend as a date night, her intentions to skate and mine to play arcade games as my ankles do not allow for me to skate. So I paid for her admission to skate and we entered the skating rink area. I was first told by a manager to remove my hat as "kids are not allowed to wear hats on Friday nights and hats are not allowed on the actual skating rink." However, I am not a kid I am a 20 year old adult - and I was not skating, so my wearing of a hat should not have been an issue. So later in the night, a man, a later found out to be the owner named Carlos (to my best knowledge), comes up to me while I am playing a game of Galaga and tells me to remove my hat, assuming that I must be underage. However, since I was in the middle of a game that cannot be paused, my only response was to ask him to "give me a second," so that I could then explain to him that I am not underage. Instead of giving me this chance, he reached on top of my head and decided to take my hat off for me and then walk away. After this incident I felt incredibly disrespected and a bit violated by his invasion of my personal space and property. He then walked by a mom wearing a hat and said nothing of it, which concreted in my mind that I was targeted because of my age. I went to talk to the office again and they told me that it should not be an issue if I wore my hat because I am an adult and I was not skating. I walked out of the office to be confronted by the owner again, who told me once again to remove my hat. After telling him that two other employees had told it was not an issue, he did not back down and continued to make it an issue. Out of principle at this point I would not take my hat off, I am an adult and may choose to wear a hat if I wish, I was not harming anybody. But I told him if it was really that big of a deal I would go get my girlfriend and leave the establishment, a mere 20 minutes after we had arrived. His response was "Good, go." At this point I was pretty shocked by his complete disrespect towards me. So I got my girlfriend and returned to the office to ask for a refund as my girlfriend's skating time had been cut very short to what she wished it to be due to this ignorant man's disrespectful and dangerous attitude. This is when I found out he was the owner, because refunds must be processed by him. He would not even let me speak and give him my point of view. He continued to treat me as if I were a child, telling me that I had an attitude and was disrespectful towards him. So eventually after having a very one-sided conversation that went nowhere, my girlfriend and I left, sans refund. Warning to all: if you don t want you or your children to be discriminated against, disrespected, and completely ignored DO NOT COME HERE.
A great place to enjoy yourself and evening of fun and meeting people.
A group of friends of mine all paid to go in and skate, I was feeling a little under the weather and decided to just watch when they tried charge me $8 to go inside and watch because I was 18+. When it costs $10 to skate? I m sorry what? This is absurd, it was not posted anywhere on the website that they would charge me. Will not be coming back.
Love skating! I went to a private charity event last night. I brought my own inline skates but they're so old that the floor was too slippery so I had to wear their 2x2 skates. Good lord it took me an hour, lol. Everything there is retro, I love it.
Gave it 4* because it's an Extra $3 of you want inline skates. I had come here several years ago and had mine but since they had a black brake on them I had to take it off (even though I don't use it). The woman inside the store kinda tossed a box full of tools over at me and I had to figure out how to take it off myself. No help.
The fountain drinks are expensive. I got a pitcher last night for $6. The girl smiles and says "I'm giving you a bigger pitcher" and it was smaller than a 2L. Um ok.
Either way I had fun at the charity event!
We went for a school skate night but will definitely go back for a family night out. The place was bigger, brighter and nicer than I expected. I didn't try the food or anything else.
Clean family fun nice music for the little ones ears
Beware! The owner of this rink is physically abusive towards children! Watch your kids at all times and keep them away from Carlos if you decide to skate here. I used to love this place as a kid, but after hearing about how a young man was disrespected and physically assaulted by Carlos, the owner, because he was wearing a hat, I will never return to this rink and will encourage everyone in my very large circle of family and friends to never give them their business. The man was addressed and treated like a child even though he is 20 years old. There are other rinks in town that respect and appreciate all customers - regardless of age. If Carlos ever put his hands on me or my child the way he did that young man, he'd be in jail for assault. He's a criminal with serious psychological issues.
My son loves going here. The only issue I have is the guys that patrol the floor. They just need to calm down a little bit.
This is a very family-friendly skating rink with many perks like a Skating School, a very reasonably priced Skate Shop, and Snack Bar.
This place is super fun. I went on a sunday night which is adult night I guess which was awesome! No kids, which is honestly something most other places should consider. Clean Bathrooms!
If I could give a half star I would. This place has security for Gods sake and my sons shoes were stolen. I know better places were the priority is customers safety. Just today 3 other shoes were stolen too, and staff is complaining that it our fault for not being able to buy a $.50 locker? You should be able to go to a place feeling trusted, not having to waste a money for a locker. If it s been problems for other people they should fix it. Enough said finding the robber won t do anything, they don t take tabs on who comes in or out. What s the point!
The last time that I was at Semoran Skateway was for my nieces 8th birthday party... the time before that was when I was her age. It is amazing how many childhood memories kicked in that night of when I was her age and skating here. This family owned skate rink has done a great job in maintaining the facility and providing generations of happy memories. Looking forward to getting the family together for another memory making skate night soon.
Great place and people clean and safe environment a perfect place for adults and kids all around
Everybody was very nice! This skating place was surprisingly clean too!
This place is amazing. The new management group is incredible. If you are looking for somewhere to book a group event or just have a fun night out go here!
This staff are kinda rude and the food is nasty but overall its a nice place to go skating and is a lot of fun they could use a new menu or fresher food
This review is specifically about the skate shop. The staff that took care of me were incredibly sweet and professional. They are knowledgeable about their products and provided me with all I needed to get going as a new skater. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.
If you're looking for skates do not hesitate to visit this shop. Awesome people, and I'm so grateful I found them.
They didn't allow my kids to use their skates because they used them outside with the pretext they would damage their wood! Not really caring about the kids safety! And the cashier was unwelcoming and rude!
Thank you Carlo for always helping me with my skates. You keep us rolling! You are the best!
The worse skates ever!!! Place is good but only if you bring your own skates.
I have visited in the past from Brunswick GA. and liked it very much. As a veteran skater from Puerto Rico I will be traveling more often to your rink as I am not pleased at all with the music played in Orange Park Skate Station, it's been addressed over and over again for at least a year and no change. Seasoned dance skaters are the ones who spark the interest in younger novice skaters therefore the domino affect for financial profit for the business. Don't want to bore you, but I will give you a shot. Thanks for reading. Eliezer Cruz Sr.
I grew up in this rink with my sister and our friends. We still skate here and now bring our kids to make the same memories. Semoran is dear to my heart, that will never change.
First visit to semoran skateway and loved most of it. Three things for MGMT to consider: last night was top 40's music but it wasn't top 40's, when security addressed a person in my group, she was not friendly (also heard her be unfriendly towards others) and the worst thing of all is that the skates do not get sprayed before being reused---very disgusting and unsanitary.
I was there last weekend with my two step kids. We had a really good time. No racism (we are a Hispanic family). I give this four stars only for two reasons. One the lady at the front who put on my wristband had no smile or exceptional welcoming customer service. She was very stern and even my son asked if they did something wrong. Also (beginner skaters) my children were in the small rink learning and a few teenagers were there recording with their cellphones. I didn't notice it until my child fell and realized the teenagers were recording her and rewatching it on their cell phones. Laughing. I walked up to them and asked them not to record my child under any circumstances again. We then left the kids zone and went to the big floor - as I was feeding them Later on the same exact teens were recording other children falling and laughing. I find it very disrespectful and would be a very upset parent if I see a vine or YouTube video of my children being humiliated because of some rude teenagers. When I went to report them the rink was closing and couldn't find them. Other then that the skating rink is amazing non racial and a great place for a fun family outting.
They have lots of kid friendly sessions. I like Saturday nights, cause it is all the old school music but I can bring my kids with me. When I have a sitter I like Adult night. We are so lucky to have such a great place with friendly staff.
Need to keep up with ware and tare. Skates in bad shape, many vending machines out of order. Staff is very nice.
My family and I come here several times a week. By far the cleanest rink around. Staff is great, well maintained floors and overall a family friendly environment. Thank you
Skate there on and off since 2007, very reasonable price even with skate rentals, if you like bring your own skate, make sure your skates never used outdoor. Their floors are fabulous. I remember they even have roll dance class in the morning.(not sure still have it or not) Adult nights are fun with all different type of skate styles. I wish the place stays open everyday and during the week you can have kids lessons and after school programs.
I love this place. Only because I had fun thats all.
Semoran Skateway is a blast, great floor and great music. My youngest daughter is in a wheelchair and they made accommodations for her to have fun and I couldn't be more happier. Thank you to the staff and the manager.
Went three times, first time I went everything was too loud for me, the second was fine , the third time my mother broke her tail bone
Watched some roller derby there. It was pretty fun and a unique experience for me. First time attending. I guess the snack bar could use some work.
Old Fashioned skating rink with some updated bells and whistles
I've been skating for over 35 years. This rink is run properly. It reminds me of the rink I grew up at.
This place is clean, and well cared for. The floor is always in top condition. One of the best I've ever skated on.
I live in Ft. Lauderdale so I don't get to come here as often as I'd like to. But any time I'm in town and can visit, I do.
I went for my friends 23rd Birthday and I did not really want to go. So I may be biased but I did not like it. It s an average price. I didn t try the food. There s a room that you go to and you choose your skates. I ve never been to a rink that did that. It was very musty and tight in that room. They have 50 cent lockers for you to store your valuables. The rink isn t too big and there s a kiddy one. When we went they kept kicking everyone off the rink. We got there around 9 it closed at 1030 and I think we were able to skate maybe for a total of 45 minutes because they kept making it shuffle skaters only. Very annoying and the referee was blowing her whistle every few minutes. At what? I cannot tell you. I ve got no clue. All in all I would not go back there unless someone forced me to.
I love this place especially on Adult Skate Night! I come out with my grown children and we have a blast!
Old school skating rink that hasn't changed much since 80s.
Glad to see the roller skating rink is still there. Went hear all the time in the early 80s as a kid.
Such a family friendly fun place. You family will have so much fun! All of the staff are friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back!
all the good that it has, is damaged with the woman who works there who has the black striped shirt, badly educated and rude .. should train her to be gentler with the public, she almost hit me... she was very mad and angry!!!
I'd give a 5 out of 5 for overall service, great skating school program where my little one is learning to sjate and learning to teach, they are also following with current CDC regulations. My only concern is though I am a paying customer, everytime I come in early morning rushing to make a 9am Saturday class or after work with tea/healthy food (which you do not serve) im forced to through it out. Should be fair and flexible if you offered tea and vegan healthy options for food items, I'd gladly spend money there too.
How much is it to skate
Ok
Had an excellent time. My daughter's first time at a real skate rink.
