It beggars belief Selfridges remain in business, given the choice available today on-line. My wife and I have received terrible treatment over our failed electrical item and Selfridges have made every possible attempt to wriggle out of their extended warranty, meaning a Selfridges extended warranty is worthless (in our case)

We are now left to either losing all our money or paying for legal redress, something as a teacher and my wife an NHS worker cannot easily afford.

We will never shop at Selfridges again, nor will our friends or family. There are other smaller independent retailers prepared to treat you as a person not a number.

Given the endless stream of 1 star reviews now clinging to Selfridges seemingly crumbling reputation; a simple response from the Selfridges FAO Social Team "please call us" no longer cuts the mustard. It appears to me the levee is breaking for this once mighty retailer and it's hard to see how a previous trickle of decent, now turning into a flood of upset customers, can be stemmed without a fundamental change in attitude.

It has been said, the pen in mightier than the sword and so I write with passion - David against Goliath.

Caveat Emptor - buyer beware!

I called in here to spend some time whilst waiting for a meeting. You are hit from the main doors with the most overwhelming smell of perfumes and colognes being sprayed at you by what seems to be dozens upon dozens of staff like some kind of Japanese gameshow. The place is very popular with tourists and fans of the TV show Mr Selfridge, and it is laid out immaculately. It is worth a look inside but go in by the side door to avoid the perfume.

This place is a discrace. Made an order for click and collect on Xmas Eve. On the day of Collection I had still had not received an e-mail confirming it was ready for Collection so decided to head to the store. On arrival I was told the order had not even been proceesed. No calls, no e-mails...not communication at all to say there is an issue with the order. This is a business the strives to be the Best Department Store in the World? Truely appalling. Stay away from this place....if they can t even manage a click and collect service there mission to be the best department store in the world is decades away.

There is lot of options and brands there but most of the staff specially in the big brand are not so kind and it happens many time that they completely ignore me when I was asking for some help, they need more training on how to serve their customers.

The store is really big. There is a map available when you enter the store to help you navigate around. There are lots of brands at this store so something for everyone. There is also food and drinks available to buy in store. I particularly liked the fact that there is a Multi faith (prayer room) on the 4th floor near the customer services till.

staff were friendly and helpful. the mall is very well ventilated and spacious. there are even alot signages and making sure you will find your way. if you are still lost, the staff arpund the mall can point you to the exact label you are looking for.

the tax refund counters are efficient and there are several of them to minimise your wait. you can even help yourself to the bottled water from the pantry while in the queue.

overall.a pleasant shopping experience.

Came here for coffee and to use the toilet as there seems to be a distinked lack of facilities in Bond street when you think of the number of people who go there on a daily basis.
The coffee was really good, expensive but good and the toilets were a welcome sight.

Shop is wonderful loved it. However, myself and grand daughter went to Christian Louboutin department as I wanted to buy her a pair of shoes for her 18th Birthday, we made a special journey to London to buy these and I can assure you if we had not spent the time and trouble to come to the store we would have walked out in disgust. There were three staff stood talking to one another and not one made the effort to approach us to see if we needed assistance - customer service at the very most one star, even the guy who served eventually when we approached him with a show in our hands, was not that really interested. WERE WE NOT DRESSED IN THR RIGHT MANNER DID HE THINK TO HIMSELF THEY WONT BUY ANYTHING. Well we did buy because we came to the store with the sole purpose to buy a pair of shoes. They really did not deserve the sale.

My favourite department store of all time. The legendary Oxford Street branch of Selfridge. Exclusive and stunning range of menswear, womenswear, shoes fashion and accessories as well as electronics and technology. You must go. Near Bond Street tube.

Rating is purely on the basis of the 'service' at The Brassiere of Light. We asked for a table for 6 to have the Traditional Afternoon Tea. The waitress asked "Are you eating?". I was a bit confused and responded that we were having "afternoon tea". The waitress responded that if we were not eating, we could only sit at the bar. I said that it would be a bit difficult for the 6 of us to enjoy the afternoon tea at the bar. The waitress said again that we could only take a seat at the bar and walked away! All the while, there were 2 tables free and did not appear to be reserved. Regardless, I felt that we were dismissed quite rudely. I thought Selfridges welcomes everybody ... pity the staff are arrogant and stuck up! The colour of my money is the same as everyone else's. And I'll note that the afternoon tea was 29 pounds, nearly 60 aussie dollars, so it wasn't spare change!

Probably the best department store in the world in that it has an extensive range of products in a visually impressive and immaculate store. Always seems to be busy but assistance is quickly available. Staff knowledge is good. The only negative comment I'd make is that products are usually sold at full RRP (except during sale) which makes it an expensive place to shop compared with online. Worth a visit though.

Fantastic service in the lingerie department but do they have to play this awful music more appropriate to a soho bar or McDonald's! Extremely noisy! Apart from putting off customers, don't they have any feelings for their staff?

Hmmm Christmas shop is somewhat underwhelming. If your going just for that don't bother it's only baubles and tree decorations and not as good or as big as it used to be when in the basement. I like Selfridges star lost because of not very exciting Christmas shop

I visited the Oxford Street branch. High-end quality shopping. All brands under one place. Excellent service and super after sales service. I had a problem and Mr .Adam solved it like a breeze...a big thank you to him and to Selfridges.

Ordered a few items on the website to be delivered to the Oxford Street store. And as i was getting ready to go and collect I received an email informing of my order being cancelled and refunded?! I was baffled as I didn t know what the heck happened. Phoned up to find out what the issue was but nobody could give me a valid reason all they could tell is the order reached the delivery location and it was cancelled and returned. Unhelpful customer service agent advised me to reorder the exact same basket but that would have been impossible as some of the items were out of stock. Now I m left as confused as I was before I called. And the icing on the cake is they kept admitting they dropped the ball but they wouldn't do good will gesture to keep a customer happy, even though I mentioned it. This morning when I first called to make sure the parcel will be waiting for me to collect, I was assured it will be, hence I got ready to go to the store. Really Selfridges? For a company that prides itself for offering high end products your customer service is at the opposite end of the spectrum.
I am sure I m just another insignificant chip off your money hungry company, but this person here is taking his business elsewhere.
