Rating is purely on the basis of the 'service' at The Brassiere of Light. We asked for a table for 6 to have the Traditional Afternoon Tea. The waitress asked "Are you eating?". I was a bit confused and responded that we were having "afternoon tea". The waitress responded that if we were not eating, we could only sit at the bar. I said that it would be a bit difficult for the 6 of us to enjoy the afternoon tea at the bar. The waitress said again that we could only take a seat at the bar and walked away! All the while, there were 2 tables free and did not appear to be reserved. Regardless, I felt that we were dismissed quite rudely. I thought Selfridges welcomes everybody ... pity the staff are arrogant and stuck up! The colour of my money is the same as everyone else's. And I'll note that the afternoon tea was 29 pounds, nearly 60 aussie dollars, so it wasn't spare change!
