Selfridges has always been one of the best places to visit during your stay in London. It has everything under one roof along with a choice of restaurant and bars. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind and we felt well looked after. I would definitely recommend a visit even if you aren't in the mood to buy anything.

Good for walking, watching people. The Lindy chocolate with hazelnuts is sold for >4 pounds here whike it is,sols for 2.5 pounds at Sainsbury's. Same chocolate. Sainsbury's already expensive. All other products must be overpriced like this. But good for sitting and watching people. If you like something here, try it on and buy if online or elsewhere.

We specifically went for an indulgent afternoon tea, and we were NOT disappointed! The food was delicious, the tea quite ample & the staff were wonderful. At 3:00pm, it was filling enough that we didn't bother with dinner!

Obvious to say very packed place for christmas. It was fun. Well decorated. Staff in good spirit. Plenty to see. Yes a pricey place. I dont visit this place during the year or summer though as I usually can find same stuff else where for cheaper.

It's changed over the years and recently I have noticed that staff have been trained/told to focus on customers of specific nationalities; mainly from the Middle East. They spend a great deal of time with these people as they believe they'll spend more money than the average Londoner.

I have been ignored numerous times at the niche perfume counters, whilst staff flap around the "wealthy tourists", trying to speak Arabic etc. I know they must make sales and earn money but every customer is of equal value. I am not a Sultan but there are certain products that I pay good money for and unfortunately it just won't be at Selfridges!

Huge. Interesting place to browse. Can occasionally sense a customer assistant staring to judge if you're rich enough (or not!) to shop there. A popular location for people to pose and take pictures for their Instagram accounts. Better variety of clothes than Flannels. Good choice of music. Busy, but not suffocating. An interesting experience.

Now it breaks my heart to say, as I love the department itself - the department being Charlotte Tillbury - however my trip to Selfridges London yesterday was a different story. The service was APPALLING. I stood at the till for nearly 20mins and still wasn't served till I asked THREE staff members. The first two were idly standing around - one particularly snooty girl was chewing on her nails and said, as I stood at the till and waved my lipstick in the air, 'Im servn someonelse' and continued to bite her nails. The third lady made eye contact and carried on chatting with her friend before she sauntered towards me to DO HER JOB. Who is training these staff members? APPALLED.

Love this shop. One of the best in the world.

Love this shop. One of the best in the world.
Modern design, high quality finishes, great service from the staff. Most of famous brands/fashion designers have their displays here.
Easy to find different departments.
Their packaging and their bags are really the best ones.
Birthday gifts: if you want to impress your loved ones get a present from this store and package it here, you really will be happy with your gift.

What can you say about Selfridge's that hasn't been said a thousand times? Is not just a department store,it has been the subject of a television series and it is an experience.

One attraction has to be that much of the interior still shows the original architectural features that make the exterior such a landmark.

The range of products on sale is extensive and staff are really helpful and this makes a visit an experience and not just a shopping visit.

There aren't many department stores left, but hopefully, we won't lose Selfridge's!

Brilliant department store that feels like a design museum. The layout and presentation is first rate. Established a reputation with concessions for both established and emerging brands, always interesting and sometimes radical window displays. Some nice fod and drink options inhouse but also next to st chrisopher's place - a nest of restaurants and bars.

Nice

Good food and friendly service in the restaurants. In the shopping part the business tries to impress customers by massive amount of staff that wait till being approached - at least I can walk around on my own. The concept of the shop appears very random to me. There is no unique design or corporate identity that makes me feel like I am shopping in The Selfridges. Unfortunately worst part after an otherwise good lunch was the visit to the toilet. At least I know now that time travel to the 70ies are possible! Please fix the broken stalls and get rid of the dust of the last half century and become a modern business
