I work here & i use to enjoying coming to work. I am still the best customer service for the customers. But the way i was treated last year by Selfridges. The way my Christian faith was insulted. Things will never be the same again

Amazing history and a fascinating store to walk through. You can spend hours here and still find something new.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, Jack from Information in particular. Very knowledgeable about not just the store currently but the history as well.
Fantastic experience!

Place is decent with a lot of different sections to explore but seriously the ignorance of the customers here... expect to be bumped into by everyone, who are so obnoxious. I actually hate this store because of this, seriously everyone think their so entitled its unreal. Customer service is okay but you dont experience true personalities.. just bland people who think their on the same level as the rich shoppers. I disagree with the way this place runs.... you can look the part but true customer service is a flop. Stop hiring good looking people and get some true sales talent people in. You actually see the sales people weigh you up for wealth to see if it's worth their time of day. Politely go f*** yourselves you stuck up muppets.

Visited Selfridges a couple of days before Christmas and it was manic. Lots of people buzzing around which made it feel more like a market than a luxe department store. That having said braving the crowds on a holiday would be worth it for the love of fashion. After the holidays we immediately went back to Selfridges for the post christmas/ boxing day hustle and it was pretty awesome. Scored a lot of great designer deals at affordable prices.

This review is only for the HEADPHONE DEPARTMENT.

This review is only for the HEADPHONE DEPARTMENT.

Selfridges is an amazing store, but not all departments are equal. What a discovery the headphone department was when somebody suggested that I try it out, as I was looking for a pair of open-backed headphones.

This is certainly the best headphone shop that I have ever seen in my life. They have items ranging in quality and price all the way from the over-rated Beats By Dr. Dre, which I "affectionately" refer to as ***ts By Dr Dreadful, to audiophile headphones costing thousands of pounds.

The staff are very good too, although varying in knowledge and experience. I had the good fortune of speaking to a chap who knew and understood what he was listening to, and was able to guide me towards what may be suitable for my needs.

As an amazing department within a store, this would be very hard to beat. There is one downside that prevented me from giving a 5 star rating. Around the Headphone Department, there are dislpays by companies like Bang And Olufsen and others who like to show off their loudspeakers and other Audio Visual equipment, and end up creating an environment in which it is almost impossible to audition a pair of headphones due to the external noise. SELFRIDGES, you need a quieter listening zone for your headphones. How can you expect people to part with hundreds or sometimes thousands of pounds on headphones without being able to audition them in a noise pollution free environment?

To all audio lovers out there, do make an effort to see this huge, well stocked department. There will be something for everyone there. It would be interesting to know if there is a wider range of headphones on display anywhere else in London.

The photo is not from Selfridges, but just an old pair of my own headphones, just to st the scene for the department that I am reviewing.

Great shoes and up to date runway trends. All major brands are represented here, and it's a wonderful all in one place to shop. I like the food dept too. Lots of things to look at from all over Europe.

Bad points ~ can be crowded, and fellow shoppers on a rush will push and squeeze (not great for young kids) .
~ a rather incomptent tax refund dept (make sure you know the paperwork you need).

I love this place. You can get lost for hours. The new accessories dept is clean and beautiful and you'll find all your favourite designer brands.
The staff are normally very friendly. There are lots of restaurants in the store but they do get very busy and a wait is the norm.

Big department stores in the heart of London, has a huge variety of brand names, from smaller ones to famous brands (which I cannot afford because very very expensive), but you can always find something here that you enjoy!

Also go down to the bottom floor and get some treats! They have drinks, tons of chocolate and so forth. The Godiva Chocolate Strawberries were delicious!

I like shopping her...the down side was that I saw a manager grabbing and squeezing in a full hand of bread that was exposed for customers to taste and afterward she went inside a staff room while eating the bread from same hand...I founded very insensitive and unprofessional behaviour...I didn't want to taste that bread anymore....

Full of lovely things. Little bar near the handbag section was a great find. Had a.lovely chat with the barman about wine and whiskey. Michelle in Bobby Brown gave me fab make-over. Excellent way to spend an afternoon.
