An iconic store and a 'must visit' at some stage, if you like shopping trips to London.

The window dressing is state-of-the-art, the staff are beautiful, and although we might not be able to afford everything they sell, it's a great place to amble through.

It s a really big department store. They have so many brands around the world and collection. You can buy lots of things here. The stuff can speak good English and other language depends on their nationality. For the tourists, you can take your tax refund in cash. It s really convenient. Decorations in the building and outside of the building is amazing as well.

Don't shop online - Three times Selfridges have sent me the wrong products and the customer service team have done little to resolve the issue. You also have to wait a long time for a refund. Spend your money elsewhere!

Not as extravagant as Harrod's but still an amazing department store with so much under one roof. It's fair to say that the offerings are of a higher quality and cost compared to John Lewis and Debenhams which Selfridges occupies the same niche. The are some fun departments, the consumer gadgets, the home goods, high end wines and spirits, tea from Freres Mariage and Japanese home good shop Muji. That's just the lower floor. You will find perfumes, jewelry clothing, shoes and accessories as well. This is one of those must stop locations during a visit to London.

Lots of fancy stuff. Prices are very high, and the whole store feels very American and tourist friendly. Just about everything that you can get here, you can find elsewhere for better prices. It is however, a beautiful store. It is kind of fun to walk around and look at a few things. With that said, don't expect much help from the staff. Was never approached at all, and when I asked for information about a camera, I was treated almost as if I was rudely interrupting his day.

One of the expensive shopping malls in London. It is in the oxford street. Hosting all the top brands and latest collections. There are few good restaurants inside the mall and also cafes. Tourists can get tax free refund on purchases made at selfridges inside the mall itself.

What a cool place for shopping. My favourite area is the "beauty area" you can have facials by face gym or dermatological or even have eye brows or your hair done. Selfridges also has a great food hall and fantastic restaurants. Not your usual mall ;) Great place to find a special Christmas present.

A great show - but watch your handbag

You don't need to spend any money here to enjoy a great few hours, just looking around.

There's loads to see - one of the best free attractions in London!

For starters, there are the window displays outside. Spend some time looking at them all. Works of Art! This can easily take half an hour.

Then go inside. Wow! The light, the colours, the sounds, the perfumes! It's a real shock to all the senses as you go into this Aladdin's Cave or Temple to Consumerism.

Have a look at any department, you'll be thunderstruck. Are there really people who spend that sort of money? Who have that sort of spare cash? Are they avid readers of TripAdvisor?

So look at the watches, and other jewellery, of some of the other customers. Gulp! A young foreign couple, mid-twenties, glistening and glittering with diamonds. Both of them. An elderly lady, hair neatly covered by a black scarf, but seems hardly strong enough to bear the weight of the rings and bracelets peeping out of her sleeve. It's fabulous country for people watching!

But DO enjoy all that this wonderful store has to offer.

This is the iconic London based department store. You certainly cannot fault the quality at Selfridges, and this is why so many people keep coming back. As you might have heard about this place, prices are a bit high, and in some cases extremely high; but to be honest, most of the time you get what you pay for in terms of product quality. It is historically located in Oxford Street, so it can get really crowded, and that is especially the case on weekends. I would absolutely recommend this store.

Possibly the biggest and most historic department store in Oxford Road in the West End London and a major attraction for all shoppers. This department store was fully renovated three years ago and is housing thousands of international and locals consumer commodities. It is a very popular shopping spot for everyone even if you are only window shopping. The canteen on the top floor provides lots of choices and it is crowded from lunch to afternoon tea sessions.

Not as posh or over-the-top as Harrods and not as loved by the British middle-class as John Lewis. What I like about Selfridges is that it is normally not as crowded (particularly in the mornings) as Harrods and the architecture of the building is just wonderful; oh and the Christmas Windows are normally beautiful.

A very well known shop in the heart of London. It was immaculately presented even for a very busy afternoon and the staff were all very friendly. It has a massive selection of things and the only problem is navigating the labyrinth to find what you're after.
