Really enjoyed the centre. Though would advise not to eat there. Food was woeful
Lovely place to visit. Nice coffee shop with home baking and best view in North Berwick. Coffee could be better as it's just an automatic machine but the views make up for it. Good shop for a look around on a damp day.
A really fun museum and cafe, great cameras that you can control to look at the island wild life
Brilliant day out and right next to a gorgeous beach with an icr-cream van, little boutique shops nearby. Perfect for a day trip particularly on a sunny day. The sea life centre also runs boat trips to bass rock to see more of the sea life. More
Great exhibition and outside platform to have coffee and view the Bass Rock
Excellent service for my dog she thought the fresh water provided was brilliant
Nice view sand beach can watch sea bird life indoor or take boat
Our family used the excellent toilets and tried to leave without buying anything but Izzy broke two ceramic tiles in half so we bought them (they are beautiful) with my credit card, which I promptly left there, a long drive from Edinburgh. When I called they immediately posted it to me and I got it, thanks to the Post Office, the very next day!
A great day out and plenty to see, beware food is a bit pricey though for what it is.!
Nice little Museum which organizes splendid Tours out on the sea to visit different birds.
The Guide will explain many things and how to preserv the fragile surrounding.
I can defenitely recommend the place and will be back.
Had a great time on a boat trip organised by the "seabird foundation".
A great visitor centre. It was lovely to be able to use the remove cameras to look at the birds close up
Keep going here over and over again and there's so much more to explore...
I absolutely love North Berwick. It is a gorgeous quaint town for the entire family.
Good place with good food and something to buy about the birds
Didn't like this place, children found it a bit boring, also in need of refurbishment
Cafe nice but expensive.
Unfortunately our boat trip was cancelled due to bad weather. But they refund me immediately. The exhibition is expensive though.
The service was excellent and so was the soup! Lisa the waitress was friendly, helpful and professional. Louise in the shop was also lovely and friendly.
Didn't visit the exhibition but had food and got a moldy lemon on top of the salad, clearly visible. After returning the salad the waiter just vanished, didn't say a word and offered no apology or refund.
Nice place to take a breakfast in front of the sea.
Interesting displays, live video feeds and small soft play for children
Can only review this as a family with a nearly three year old. Cannot comment on the food or boats. We found this place to be very expensive for what is actually available. Some of the exhibits were out of order (including cameras) on the day that we visited. Soft play is basically a broom cupboard converted and even though they have CCTV on the soft play you cannot view your child well enough. The displays could do with being more up to date and more interactive. Staff cannot be faulted though, very polite and friendly.
Excellent! Took the catamaran trip round Craigleith & Bass Rock, very knowledgeable guide, lovely trip. Centre has good cafe too.
Hugely overpriced for a day out with young children. It's about 30 minutes of entertainment, and that came from the fish. The rest was old fashioned. The movie in the "exhibit" was so loud that my 3 year old was afraid to go in!! Not worth the money, stay outside and enjoy the beach instead!
Any bird lover should visit and take their excursions in time
We booked the bird watching cruise - went near the bass rock... mesmerising sight...
brilliant commentary by the host... scenic beauty... must go at least once in a lifetime...
They try to attract tourists by force, there is nothing interesting here.
The only thing really worth checking out is ICE CREAM in the center of North Berwick. There is no better in this part of Scotland !!!
Super place.. Very interesting with friendly informative staff
Great cafe, didn't have time to go into centre, but am told it's worth a visit. Next time
Great deck for coffee or lunch, fresh air brilliant view of bass rock
This is your standard British visitor centre. The surroundings are very pleasant.
It was and pleasant, if a bit noisy.
It is a little cramped and possibly kissing a table would help free up a little space.
We had a tea each, pretty watery only one tea bag between two cups and a price of carrot cake. Which was extremely dry.
We didn't try any of the sandwiches as we would have to wait.
The service was generally good. But a little to much push on getting you moving. Three attempts to clear the table as I sat and still supped my tea. On the whole a reasonable experience. But not much better than average.
The place is massively overpriced, however, the location is amazing. Some tasteful souvenirs could be found there as well.
Lovely place with nice scenery. Really enjoyed my day out.
Great for kids and adults very educational and servers exelant hot chocolate and ice cream
We took the boat trip round the Bass Rock. Amazing experience!
Nice place to visit nice coffee tours start around April again Check in case I'm wrong Family fun
Educate whilst enjoying yourself. A great place for all ages.
We spent about 5 mins here. Not much to see or do place felt a bit run down which was sad as we really love seabirds! Many of the cameras were broken.
Might be better if you like reading kind of museums.
The beach next door is good for a walk but I can't see how they can justify the ticket cost.
Nice coffee in The cafe. The peppermint slice was too sweet and didn't taste of peppermint. All products were very expensive.
Didn't go in centre but did one of their excellent boat trips.
Perfect location. Great view.
Spacious cafe
Lovely place with a stunning view to the sea . Extreme quick food service, perfect with kids.
An incredibly beautiful seaside village in a volcanic landscape, one of the most picturesque lands in Scotland, from Edinburgh we take a city bus with a refund of 7.5 pounds which is worth it and above all the route and the nice bus bus ... The observation center you will find out there .. Exciting!
North Berwick is one of the most beautiful towns in East Lothian. On a nice day it can be very busy, but still a very enjoyable place to visit
Very interesting live cameras of birds on islands good to watch.
Entertaining for all ages. With information in Spanish and other languages. Very attentive and pleasant staff. If you do the catamaran visit, the family ticket can be a good option and you add a different and good activity. The town is worth a walk.
One of the must visit if you are visiting Edinburgh as not that far from the city around 25miles from the city. This is place where you can see thousands of seabirds nesting on one small island/rock. It is only during the summer time these birds fly to this island for nesting. A great experience.
