It is fun even if you do not understand English because of the real experience that Japan does not have

Science world is awesome. They have a range of interactive exhibits from the general free for all physical sciences to more demonstrational stations. They have a toddler, infant, young child area that is constantly monitored. The movie theatre is terrific and they often have great thoughtful movies about a range of science related themes. The membership is well worth the price if you plan on going more than 3 times a year. They also have special events for members and special opening times. Food in the cafeteria and snack area is good. The gift shop is overpriced but worth it to support the center and they have some pretty cool items.

Went with my kid today, perfect place to go visit for anyone interested in a knowledgeful fun exploratory adventure for kids and adults, exploring the sciences, extremely family oriented. Really enjoyed the Superpowers Dogs IMAX movie as well.

Lots of fun things to try, see and do. However the layout was pretty chaotic and confusing, probably great for kids who are running pell mell from one thing to another, but not as good for those who are trying to find every exhibit. The prices are pretty steep - particularly as the general admission does not include access to all exhibits (we'd expect to pay separately for Omnimax, but not for temporary exhibits.)
We had concerns too about the conditions and quality of habitat for the few animals on site. The snakes and gekko were in tiny aquariums without a place to hide from incessant yelling and banging on the glass walls. And one, large chicken in the outside area looked very sick and was twitching her head constantly. It made us very sad and put a huge damper on our enjoyment of the visit.

I could spend all day here! Lots of fun puzzles and cool exhibits. It may be geared towards kids, but I went with a couple friends because we had an hour or so to waste, and it was definitely worth the time and money. If you're looking for something fun to do in Vancouver, look no further.

It s always the best indoor place for the kids to go in the weekend. We learn something different on every visit. Due to COVID the toddler playground and some of the facilities are closed but they did a good job to keep people 2 meters away from each other and keep things clean.

I always have so much fun here. It's not just for kids but there's also stuff for adults. There's exhibitions that always stay the same and some new ones that come every few months. It's a great place to spend your afternoon! Always something to learn too :)

We went when this cat and dog show was. There were many people because it was free, it was more worth it. From there we went to see a very beautiful bear movie! I think we paid only 7 dollars and the screen is beautiful on the ceiling. It's very complete and big

My 6 yr old loves everytime we go. I only started taking her a yr ago thinking she was too little otherwise but even little ones under 5 can enjoy while learning in their kiddy area. Bring a quarter to use their lockers so you can have free hands to explore

Interesting place with a decent variety of exhibits. One minute walk from the Main street metro station. However there are few things that can be better: 1. Movie is not included in the ticket and they charge extra for it. Gets pretty expensive to pay for a family ($30 per person). 2. There is no monitoring and many guests lack discipline. They misuse equipment and things like the magnifying glasses to view the grains of sand are smudged and dirty beyond use. Could have better monitoring and maintenance. 3. If you are vegetarian, the cafeteria has only cheese sandwich for you :-). All in all a decent place but not compelling enough to make you a repeat visitor.

A 5 star kids interactive temple of love and learning! I have been to the new York science museum and this by far exceeds it and anything else! Great for babies, toddlers, children and teens! A must see if you are visiting Vancouver and have kids!

Wonderful staff

Wonderful staff

I went to Vancouver three months ago with my kids and went to Science World when it was closing. I thought my family membership was to expire the next day, so I wanted to talk to them about extending it for one day. They said it was not a problem, but when I showed them the membership card, it turned out that it was for the Vancouver Aquarium. Alice and Alicia told me that at the time there was a coupon that could help me save some money, which I found online later on.

Great place for young children. I used to go here often with my daughter when she was little. I no longer live close enough to go here but it is a great place. Though I would recommand purchasing yearly pass if you live near by as ticket is pretty expensive.

Amazing place. We are members of Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS) and so entry was free and we had the same privileges as the members (discounted tickets etc.). I did not have my membership card but was able to show an email that showed we were members. We love DMNS but the kids (10 and 13) said Science World is better because it is much more interactive. The first exhibit on the right after the reception is amazing. It provides very useful information about our ecological footprint and also has some interactive activities. It even has a board where one can provide suggestions about the topic at hand. When we were there, the topic was: 'What can humans do to reduce our ecological footprint'. Then in the main atrium they have a lot of interactive puzzles and exercises. They also have a stage show where someone showcases various science experiments and also talks about genesis of various scientific breakthroughs. There are movies that you can pay and there are some you can watch free in the auditorium. We were there for 5 hours but could definitely have spent whole day there. Will definitely visit it when we visit Vancouver again.
