Science World at TELUS World of Science Review

Nice, good place for parent-child travel and knowledge

Such an awesome place to take my two boys (age 7 and 9) - could easily spend two days there.

Fabulous! It was my first time there and I got to see the excitement my 4 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson experienced going from display to display. Well worth the money. True joy

Better than average range of displays. Only one was out of order on our visit. Good parking and fast food.

Our favorite place to go as a family, got the membership ever since my daughter was born.

A very nice spot for a family outting. Always great displays and great entertainment for the little ones. Be sure to not be in a rush, let the kids participate/play/figure stuff out...great for their brain development.
Do your research ahead of time to find a theme that your child will appreciate.

Took my girlfriend there over the holidays. Great place to be when it is cold outside and you don't want to stay home.
Love the puzzles and all the fun things you can do. We missed the IMAX movie this time due to later appointments but we had a great time in general. One down size is that it is kinda pricey but that is just one man's opinion.

A lot of fun for kids of all ages. A nice separate play area for 0-5 year old kids. A bit pricey but if you are regular membership makes sense.

It was more a Family-Like experience. Not if you're single with no kids over 25

10/10 would come back, cuz being chased by a T-Rex is worth checking off your bucket list

The Telus World of Science always has something fun and interesting to do.
I used to really enjoy the Omnimax Theatre.
This place makes a good tourist attraction...It's gotta be one of the most recognizable structures around.

Our family loves the place! It is great for all ages. The new indoor playground is awesome for kids!

Although the Science and Technology Museum is not big, you can play there all day with the baby! The surrounding scenery is super beautiful!

It was a fun time, it really reminded me of my childhood. It can be okay for adults, but i found it to be pretty expensive considering everything in there was for kids. The Imax theater is definately worth checking out if you have never been, get there early for a good seat!

Exhibits are always top notch, and while it can get crowded, you can generally just go to another exhibit for a short while. Staff are friendly and location is always clean.

Completely inadequate when compared against other science centers. Honestly, it's an embarrassment that this carries the words Science and World... it's the size of any other science museum's closet. Most of the exhibits were not functioning; many were visibly old and dated. Clearly there's been very little investment or maintenance here. Such a disappointing facility. Don't go here if you're passionate about science. But as this is the only option in Vancouver... what other real choice do you have?

Wonderful place to spend the day, there is lots to see and do here! Great place to spend the day with family or friends!

There are some interesting things to do, but it's very child-friendly, and the entrance is expensive.

Recently went there again after soo long, it's just as amazing as it was when I was a kid!

Science world was so cool! We had "children" of all ages. We were all entertained and wanted to stay longer. We all look forward to our next visit!

Pretty much exactly what I expected. Wish there was more adult friendly interactive displays.

The Omnimax Superpower Dogs show was awesome. Didn't know some of the amazing things that dogs can do such as swimming out into the water to rescue someone and towing them back.

Good place for kids, I hope all actives for kids price should be lower than 5 dollars.

A great place to take the whole family including young children. Learning and fun all in one! It's easy to spend all day with lots of things to touch and see both inside and out.

The (temporary) Pixar exhibition was awesome for adults and kids alike, but the rest of the museum is mostly suitable for kids.

The science world is interesting especially if you have young kids. I suggest going there with kids. I brought my boys and they loved the exhibit on animation. I would hope that they would develop an interest in animation. I was also able to teach them about our environment, conservation and geology. This alone makes the visit worthwhile.

Personally, I prefer walking around Science World rather than going inside it. Its spot on the seawall is pretty prime so it s easy to arrive there and get lost watching the world go by.

So. Much. Fun. We went there to kill time with my 5.5 year old grandson. We had to drag him out at closing time! Even my 3 month old granddaughter was awed by the lights and sounds. Her favourite was the wall that lit up and glittered when you called a number.

Awesome but I feel that kids above 10 not 13 should be allowed in by themselves

It was fun. My nephew loved it. There were a lot of children so you'll have to watch your child well so that they can get a chance to try everything. Some of the children don't have much manners is all.

It makes you feel like a child again, a variety of exhibits and excellent presentations on the iMax, it must be in your intinerary

Great place. Went with a couple of friends and we were completely blown away. I didn't grow up in Vancouver (or North America, for that matter) and we never had anything like that back home. Which is a shame, one's interest in STEM and surroundings should be encouraged from early age and Science World does an excellent job in that.
It's definitely more suited for kids, but most adults will find it interesting nonetheless!
They also have a cute little bookshop worth checking out and a massive theatre.

Amazing. Full of interesting fun facts. Visually exciting with lots of learning to be had. Kids love it, adults love it. Great combination.

It was my first time in Science World today and I expected more from the reviews and recommendations. For all those who want to see this in the future and have no small children: save it. Rather, it is like an indoor adventure park for (small) children and adult visitors are more than neglected. The $ 50 we paid for two adults, have really repented us! After a good 30 minutes we were outside again and thrown the money out the window.
My advice: for families with young children it is certainly an experience, but if you belong to the older generation, which is a vivid science museum hope (as comparatively a well-known in Switzerland), which is bitterly disappointed.

Awesome place. Adults and children have entertainment inside and outside the science museum! Teachings of ecology, physics, chemistry.

We visited today while pandemic procedures are in place. I was nervous it was going to be so busy and full of germs , but it was my son s birthday request to visit. Currently you book your time slot online when purchasing your tickets - and when I booked one week prior, there were so many available time slots.
We got there 30 mins after opening and for a very long period of time there was only us and what seemed like 4 other families. We basically had the entire place to ourselves. It was clean, I even saw people sanitizing multiple times during the day.
While it was absolutely wonderful to be there while it was empty (I finally got to set up the water dams how I wanted it with no one else s kids wrecking it for me, hahaha) it was also kind of sad. Science World is hands down my absolute favorite place to take my kids - we normally go every 2-3 months. But I want to ensure there s still a Science World to take them to after the pandemic is over, so please, please, please go visit!

Lots to see and do for school aged children that is for sure, though there are things to entertain smaller kids. New exhibits are great and fossils are always my favorite.

Bought a years pass for me and the niece. The mirror maze was dope.

They do change their feature exhibits frequently so there usually is something new to see if you have been before.
