It has been years since I was last here and things have changed quite a bit. Love the layout and the exhibits. We were here for like 3 hours and the whole family was engaged and entertained.

This is mainly for kids. I wish someone had told me this before we paid to go in. That notwithstanding the place is great if you are looking for a family outing that is fun and educational

Spending the day in the world of science was a sensational experience. It's fun and informative. The purpose of encouraging people to take an interest in science is evident here. Watching a movie on IMAX is almost mandatory as it is surprising.

Awesome and interesting place, with something for every age to engage for several hours. Not cheap though, and can be crowded in summer and on weekends, and tight for parking when busy, for which you have to pay or walk a few blocks. Well worth a go though. We've bought a family membership a couple of times.

After hearing so many great things about Star of the Sea School, our family couldn t wait for our oldest to start Kindergarten.

Five years later, we continue to be impressed by the quality of education, dedication of the teachers and the leadership of the principal.

The biggest surprise though, was the sense of community and school spirit that SOS brought out in us and our kids.

Go Stars!

Great place to spend time with the family. Lots of stuff to learn and explore. Very interactive. The Omnimax theatre is also a great experience and kid friendly. Excellent way to spend a rainy afternoon in Vancouver.

Fantastic venue for a fun filled family day out. Loads to do, decent food options (Triple O's), friendly, professional staff, good accommodation for parents with strollers. Yearly membership is great value for residents.

A great place to bring children to discover the magic of science. There are a range of exhibitions covering anatomy, physics and chemistry. Most are interactive and will bring a smile to your face... Especially the one where you have to try to squeeze yourself into a box! There are dining options and adult nights with a licensed bar too. Good if raining outside and the omnimax cinema is lovely.

Who doesn't love learning about science? I loved going to science centres as a kid, and I may enjoy it even more now. Science World does a great job at catering to any and every age group, always have fun new exhibits, and for adults the Adult Only nights are an absolute blast. Also, if you buy a membership here you get a discount at the aquarium and science centres across the country!

This has to be one of the best museums I've been too. We must have spent 5-6 hours and you should opt for any movie they are playing in their dome. I was beyond blown away how much fun I had as well as my kids.

Have been volunteering for the past three years here and absolutely love it! My parents paid for a membership with my little sister and they visit here almost every weekend. It's such a beautiful and welcoming place--why would anyone want to leave? Great things for both adults who want to explore science and younger kids.

The Science World was absolutely such a great family day out! It had all the things that a big family needed. We really enjoyed the weight machine in the Eureka room, the mirror room, and the prehistoric room. The downside was that we went on a very busy day and the cafe was very packed.

I brought my 10 month old to science world. They have an area for little kids under 5 and one specially for crawlers. We spent an hour and a half there. He had so much fun. I'll probably get the annual pass.

Good for kids, but not a lot to do for adults. Still, definitely take your kids here and expose them to science while they're young. They'll learn how to ask why, think critically, and they'll have a lot of fun playing with the hands on exhibits. There's some live animals, playground like environments where they can splash around in a bit of water or play with lasers.

I came here when they had the Pixar exhibition, and I absolutely loved it. The rest of the museum felt rather catered towards children, but I thought the Pixar exhibition alone was worth the additional cost on top of the standard ticket. I learned a great deal regarding the animation process, and found some of the animation techniques very intriguing.

Science World (officially called TELUS World of Science Vancouver since 2005) is a science center concept-based museum in the Canadian city of Vancouver. It is operated by a non-profit organization, showing permanent and changing interactive exhibits.
The museum is housed in a geodesic dome designed by Richard Buckminster Fuller at the eastern end of False Creek. The dome was one of the main attractions of the Expo 86 World Expo and was subsequently built for 19.1 million CAD. The opening of the museum took place in 1988, and a year later the OMNIMAX cinema was added to the top of the dome.

Interesting, but a lot of it is geared towards small children, or maybe I was just in the wrong places.
You should definitely go to one of the numerous, very interesting cinema screenings (there are only scientific films, of course)

The Imax theater is amazing. It's the largest in the world. There are so many fascinating and educational exhibits. Our grandsons were enthralled. We found it very entertaining as well as educational.

What a great experience!!! The LEGO towers were amazing. We got plenty of time to build lego houses and ships. There were sanitizing stations everywhere. Signs for mandatory masks and enough distance between the visitors. My 2 year old had a great time and learnt alot for even his age.

Went for adults night. It was a party! Imagine a bunch of adults playing drinking games while playing with all the cool science displays. It was great! I will probably attend more of the adult nights.

Great place for families. The only reason I am giving 1 star is to review one of the Science World staff. On Saturday, October 5th, 2019. I was observing the COLD show, where the staff was leading. Her performance was quite enjoyable, yet, I was surprised to see that she only picked non-Asian children volunteers even though more than half of the spectators where Asian. Hence, there were quite a large number of Asian children wanting to participate as volunteers. I guess where she comes from, it's not as widely multicultural as Vancouver. Out of 7-8 children whom she picked, none of them were Asian, an only 2 she picked were none Caucasian. Science World needs to re-train your staff to represent people of all backgrounds

Great exhibits for children and friendly staff. It has good information and activities for adults aswell. Can be crowded but definitely worth a visit if you aren't adverse to some children.

We went there for the adult night. I should say overall it was a great experience, maybe it would be even better if the outdoor yard was open as well, but not that important. We arrived right at the openning and stayed all the way till the end and probably would stay for an hour more if it was possible. What really disappointed were irresponsible adults... Halfway through the night there were empty cups and litter all over the place. And it is somewhat ironic because the first exhibition when you enter (on your right) is exactly about recycling and such. Maybe it should be mandatory before you can attend drinking area. Not to mention that some individuals take parts from puzzle tables and move them to other puzzle tables. I mean, why would you do that? Some people are just awful.

Great place for children and adults. Physical and mental activities. Older exhibits could use improvement but they have new exhibits as well. Admission is a bit steep and also pay parking. Perhaps go for season pass for a family ~$200. Science world has outgrown its space. It would be nice if it evolved and grew with its audience.

Our group of 5 children of various ages between 2-8 enjoyed themselves. There is lots to explore. The exhibits are engaging & well maintained.
Volunteers are outstanding!
I deducted 1 star due to the expense of entrance & parking.
Unfortunately, this will have to be a once a year outing as it is so costly.
