Came for the After Dark Adult Night; it was a lot of fun and not as busy as expected but the regular price ticket was far too much for the experience. Wish we had bought during Early Bird prices but we didnt realize there was different pricing.

This has become a kiddy exhibit with literally nothing for adults to do with the $50 it costs two adults to get in. -4/10. Would not get pillaged by ticket sales again.
Most of the equipment weren t functioning, and the staff was really mean,,, I mean, isn t this place for children?? Then why are staff members spooking them?? My 4 year old cousin left traumatized.
Pixar exhibit was fun! as much as they make it for kids, i think adults can more fully appreciate it. A clever, beautiful and inspiring exhibit. The rest of science world is also fun and educational. 3 stars because of the price and spelling mistakes in the human body section
The museum is awesome it has many games to interact with and learn at the same time is really funny, even though it is more focused on children it is funny for any age people
I haven't been here during the day since I was a kid, I imagine it's still a really great family activity. I go now more for the adult nights so my friends and I can act like kids again and still have a night out with a few drinks! They put on a wonderful murder mystery night one halloween and the rotating exhibits are always interesting.
Great fun to visit with lots of amazing information and interactive displays. It's always busy here so be patient especially with younger kids (under 5), you can easily be swarmed by a school group. Entrance is pricey so consider a membership if you have kids or take advantage of discounts (Vancouver Aquarium members get 20% off)
Absolutely brilliant! So much to see and experience and there were demonstration shows at regular intervals throughout the day. A whole day required to see it all!
Definitely worth your time. Everyone loves a trip to Science World - we watched imax too, what a treat. It s NOT inexpensive, but it is a great way to get fun mixed with knowledge into kids and adults.
Wow this place is awesome. I really love the interactive exhibits especially those in the Pixar section. It is fascinating learning how Pixar movies are made. I really enjoy the other exhibits as well, like the video games one. There are also some presentations that you can view and some shows which are interesting. It is right on the water, there are multiple places to eat at nearby, and it is very close to the Skytrain station.

Never a dull moment when you bring curious active kids. The membership price is too high, but we still try and buy it because the kids always love it here and it's walking distance for us.
Great for younger kids. Reminds me of the old COSI in Columbus Ohio. A little cramped/crowded when we went but lots of hands on science things to do - best for kids 4 to 8 year olds I would say.
Some good exhibitions but mostly aimed towards a younger audience. Also very busy with lots of kids in the day. We went to an 'After Dark' evening which was better but it could still use some more content for the older science enthusiast.
Lots of fun for the kids (and grown ups, if you get a chance!) - our 4 year-old couldn't be dragged from the Wonder Zone play area! Really busy when we visited (long queues for the mirror maze) but entertaining enough that they all lined up a second time...!
Science World is amazingly fun and cool for kids of all ages. With an outside play area, plenty of interactive exhibits, lockers to put your stuff and a great gift shop, who could imagine a better place.
BUT, the lack of cleanliness concerns me. While we were there, the only place we saa to wash your hands or sanitize them was the bathrooms. Even in the cafeteria, there was no sanitizer available. Kids are touching everything, which Science World supports (after all, kinetic learning is a great educational tool). But for those of us who are grossed out by germs, we have to bring our own sanitizer.
Kids and adults can both enjoy this place. There's many cool things on display and so much to learn. Some of the exhibitions are geared towards adults and they're very interesting.
Great place for kids! Schedule your visit around the science demonstrations on the first floor. They are well done and engaging for the young ones. Look at the displays and hands on activities after the demos. The ticket prices are a bit exhorbitant for a larger family, but look into the membership rates which might make sense for you.
This didn't live up to expectations. Parking is nearly non-existant, exhibits are tired and lacking in science, it reminded me more of going to the movies than going to learn about science.
It was basically a bunch of cheap mini-games for kids.
Having said that, it was a full day of playtime for the kid, so I guess it deserves 3 stars?
Had a great time here today with my wife and 1 year old. They had a lot of stuff to do for my child which I was really happy with. Many different exhibits that were fun for all of us. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Vancouver.
OK, but this place should be way better for the price (over $100 for our family this weekend). We go about once a year because of our love of science, but would not recommend this to anyone on a budget. Just not worth the price. The temporary exhibits are often disappointing (or not fully functional, as is the case with much of the Canada 150 stuff). And much of the permanent exhibit is dated. Some of installations date back over a decade (some perhaps back to Expo '86). That's fine if they are top notch exhibits. But many have not been maintained as well as they should be. The IMAX is good but also not cheap for 30 to 45 minutes videos that are accessible only for those who have also paid general admission. The IMAX theatre is also showing its age, and the limited accessibility for people in wheelchairs is an embarrassing reflection of the mid-1980s vintage of the building.
Good place to bring your kid and enjoy the science activities. Omnimax theatre which is running from last 30 years was amazing, giving a globe like experience. But you need to shed extra bucks to watch a movie in theatre apart from regular entry tickets.
Science World got a facelift recently, and I never thought I'd be confident in saying this, but it completely outdoes my childhood memories of the place. It's absolutely wonderful, full of great information, interesting trivia, and fun creative logic puzzles.
