Always a great place to spend some time as a family.
Always a great place to spend some time as a family.
The Pixar display attracted us. Turns out most of it is computerized technology on how things work. This was not for me. The statues were cool though. As for the rest of the place, good for kids.
It's too bad that the staff work to keep the place clean when visitors throw their paper towel on the floor next to the garbage bin.
Watching movies in the big screen was such a cool experience. This is one of the best places to show people around, everything is so interesting to look at and you ll learn a thing or two in a fun way.
It s not bad to go once. Adults are finished in 1 hour. Children can play for 3 hours.
Awesome place. They way knowledge is disseminated through carefully planned sections and interactive activities.... Simply amazing!
Great if you have kids with you but not much to do for adults, paied alot of money just for 30 minutes.
One of the Best New Playgrounds for kids just outside the Science World. Climbing tower, big slide, Zip Line, Sand Pit, Water feature, music instruments, swings, awesome layout and outdoor scenery.
Despite the pandemic, this is a nice place to take your kids. They operate on a reservation system and people generally do keep distant from one another. A few issues: they're closed Monday and Tuesday. We paid for a family membership and aren't getting much use out of it as I'm with my children on Mondays and can't take them there. The exhibits can also be repetitive after a few times. One of the exhibits (forgot the name but it's the fun one for little tots) requires an additional and separate reservation to access (so reserve there first and then check out the other exhibits before returning)
Entertaining place, especially to go with children, fully interactive museum, easy to reach, the Main Street - World of Science station is half a block away, crossing Quebec Street.
Good place to spend hours exploring here. Kids love it so much.
Felt a little dated, lots of the computers were not working. Overall an ok day for an 8 and 10 year old.
I've never been there because it's too expensive, they had a free thing last Saturday about dogs and cats so finally had a chance to go in and check things out. The giant dinosaur was cool! Rock area was cool! my daughter had a good time! For me though over all I was kinda bored, I think I pictured something much better for the amount it costs to get in. The outside of the building though is awesome!
An awesome experience for kids or adults, so many interactive exhibits, give at it at least 2 hours
Place of fun learning for all ages. The IMAX screen is huge and good shows on the list. Friendly and engaging staff. Time well spent with family.
So much fun. Perfect place to spend the day with kids of all ages.
Great place for children, would recommend if you want to tucker out your kids
Interesting place - especially for children - which is much more like a museum.
Lots of experiments and an IMAX theater allow for a great experience.
Unfortunately - very expensive compared to museums in Germany.
Great place for the kids to be entertained for hours, especially when it is raining.
Had to drag my 6 and 3 year olds out after 4 hours . Wish they had one in the DC area.
Science, technology, and games, children love it....
Fun interactive place. A little bit of everything for everyone.
This place is always fun to visit with family and friends. It has a variety of different activities that will engage audience members of all ages. The current feature display is Ripley's Believe-It-Or-Not, which provided us with some many wacky facts.
Downstairs they have many tables with different puzzles that are sure to work your mind. They also have a stage downstairs that hosts different performances on science related topics that will captivate young children.
The Body works exhibits teaches you all you wanted to know about how your body works. There is also another exhibit that features animals. Touch fur from bears, wolfs, and raccoons, or feel the skin of an alligator. Also, in here is a hollow tree that young kids can climb up. They host story times throughout the day
A favourite place to visit is Eureka! which has many fun activities with water, air, sound, and movement.
The BMO Sustainability zone has fun games that teach about saving the earth.
The OMNIMAX theatre shows some movies (at a cost) that are fun to watch. On the second floor the science theatre shows different movies during the day (at no extra cost).
The staff here are friendly and there is a place to purchase a meal if you'd like. 100% recommend coming to here for a fun and educational day!
Starting to show its age a bit but still a great place to take the kids to for a day.
I love the diversity between exhibits....there is truly a little something for everyone. My 10 month old loves it here, my 3 year old daughter has a blast, and I have to drag my husband out everytime. I recommend the annual pass- a place that can be visited monthly without losing its allure.
Busy in mornings with school groups. Best to go in afternoon
Fun for all! Great family outing on a pouring rainy day!
So many fun interactive displays. Can easily spend the whole day ( and your money) here.
Great for kids under 10. Above that, plan for a shorter visit
Great for the kids. Especially if you get in when not busy
Always fun to go here. Starting to feel like it needs a good change up for themes and "things to do" , but been there many times.
Great place for young at heart parents and kids. Lots of interactive experiments and demonstrations to keep everyone occupied. Try to avoid holidays as it can be difficult to get the most from the exhibits when lots of children just want to poke, push our press everything in sight! Quite expensive, but you could lose a morning in three.
Not so much fun for an adult. Great for kids. The IMAX is great - 4 stars for that.
Super cool! Definitely there for everyone to enjoy! My favorite part was the brain games and anatomy fun facts
Very interesting! Children will love it! What caught my attention the most was Pixar: film and exhibition! I recommend...
Been a very long time since I've gone and now it's with my own kids. Excellent exhibits. The only one I'd never visit again is the kids 1-4 play area. It's is chaotic and very easy to lose sight of your kids almost to a security flaw level. Food concession would be better if it offered a couple healthier options too.
A must go place for all parents out there. With your kids ofcourse.
Very good marketing, 3D IMAX. Other than that to pricy. Not recommended for adults.
Interesting bronze statue outside building of two of Canada's greatest scientists. Ernest McCullough and James Till who together demonstrated the existence of multipotent stem cells. Inexplicably they have been ignored by the Nobel committee.
My family visited from Calgary and we went here. They loved it. The IMAX theatre is the best. Great experience.
Place could use some better food options though.
Educational, interesting, engaging for children and adults if all ages. IMAX films a worthwhile add on.
Center is really designed for children and families in mind. Children may have a joy with the interactive science exhibits but it not much for anyone over 20.
So much fun for kids. So many hands-on exhibits, omnimax is great...good options.
Came for science world after dark, which was my first time coming here. Very enjoyable, both the event and the attractions.
From building towers to dog shows this place is one of my favorite in Vancouver! I ve been soo many times that I know the place by heart. Honestly fun not only for kids although very kids oriented! I would say maybe avoid going on days that are like holidays for schools if you want to be able to walk around more calmly! I would say science world probably take all day to go properly through all the rooms!
The few exhibits available are mobbed by the crowds of kids, who have the least interest in how they work. And if they did have some curiosity, only very simple information is provided.
Also, there is a complete lack of coherence in the concepts of the exhibits. By this I mean that as a group they don't convey a larger idea. Thus, missing a great opportunity to convey more complex concepts.
Last but not least, it is very expensive for the value you get and the feature exhibition is not even included in the main ticket price, potentially raising the price by $30 for a family of 4.
We took 2 kids ages 9 and 7 and 4 adults. The adults had as much fun as the kids! There was a mirror maze while we were there. That was fun!
Kids loved spending the day here. IMAX theatre was a cool experience.
This was absolutely worth every penny. Fun and interesting for all ages.
Great for kids at all ages. I come here every week with my 2 years old daughter and she is still having fun
We love science world and the volunteers are awesome! Convenient location, such a great set up and always something new to see
Amazing place, but especially for kids. They need more veggie options in the catering.
Fun place for kids!
Not cheap though.
Good atractions for little kids but can get boring for older people. If you do go plan the to go the whole day because the price isnt worth it to go for only a couple of hours
It's an amazing place not only for children but also for adult.
It was a great experience, my little one had the time of her life learning many different things at their unique exhibits
