Wish there was a zero star option. This place used to be absolutely amazing 15 years ago; it was a place for education and making science come alive and be fun for kids and adults alike... I'm not sure what's happened in recent years, but every time I go, the quality of the experience and "exhibits" has gone drastically down.
Calling it "science world" is grossly misleading. It's an indoor playground for kids... like a more expensive crash crawleys. There's not much in the way of education, just climbing apparatuses, a few blocks in the shapes of bones, and basic factoids to read on the wall. The age demographic seems to be getting lower, this last (and final!) time we went, the average age was 3 or 4... with an overwhelming smell of diapers that needed to be changed, screaming kids, and quite a few tired and distracted parents who let their children run all over.
The cafeteria was closed, as well as the gift shop (supposedly for inventory?.. on a Saturday?), there was only one pop vending machine with only Coke and Sprite in it, so good luck if you're hungry or thirsty.
We left after 20 minutes because the screaming was so loud and the "science" was so disappointing. Biggest waste of $100 ever.

Hands down one of the best places in Vancouver to bring kids under 12. It's educational, tons of fun, and there's so many different things to do you can easily spend a whole day here. Added bonus, it's located in one of the most beautiful spots in Vancouver so when you're done there's plenty of places to eat or drink in Olympic Village.

Pro tip: Don't pay for parking, there's plenty of free parking a few blocks away on Quebec or 2nd Ave.

The place was under renovations when we were there but still no discount on tickets. The kids loved it there. It was a bit crowded in the kids sections but still a pretty enjoyable experience for all. I love that they have something for kids of all ages. Great way to spend an afternoon with a young family. Our kids are 19 months and 3yrs and we found both found it quite fascinating. Definitely going back but it is a bit pricey 25 per adult and no family rate.

Great for a kids day etc.

Great for a kids day etc.
Weddings are usually evening only after regular hours and can feel condensed or rushed. Prepare for your teardown etc appropriately.

You can't go wrong with Science World. A place where everything is literally an opportunity to touch and experience anything and everything. Best place to kill a couple hours with the kids (or adult friends) and learn something new. Don't forget to check out the featured exhibit or catch an IMAX film. The group learning times are entertainment for the whole family.

My father used to take my brother and I here all the time growing up. There are some exhibits that stay the same, and some that rotate occasionally. There's so much to go through and learn about.

They offer classes and camps for children. On the other hand, they started doing "Science World After Dark", which is an alcohol-licensed evening where adults can explore the exhibits without children around.

Always a great place for my 2 boys! They have always enjoyed returning here to see the standard displays but we keep coming back for the special exhibits. We saw the Pixar exhibit this time and my wife and u really enjoyed it. My sons, 6 and 4, were not as enthusiastic! I would estimate a good age to be over 10 but every child is different

Although this museum is designed for children, it can also provide an enjoyable morning or afternoon for adults. The hands-on displays are probably the most interesting ones I have seen in a museum of this type. The Omnimax cinema is also worth experiencing. The museum is located at the tip of False Creek, which is a very picturesque setting that gives a panoramic view of the city and a close-up view of the stadium.

Amazing place for children! My kids loved it and didn't want to leave! They have live presentations/ shows happening throughout the day, a theatre, and so many exhibits! Make sure to put aside at least 3 hours to spend here!!

The baby play area is incredible. The kid event presentations (I saw the air one) was very interesting, even for adults. Great place for kids. Warning: Line ups to get in if you don t have membership are long. Come early.

I havent been since I was young. So I was very excited to see what the had done.. everything is the same...My friend and my boyfriend went for the cats and dogs exhibit they have going on. To pay $27 each and walk into a half empty room was a bit disappointing. Would recommend spending your money else where with more opportunities and options. Not a fair price for not much to look at. I enjoyed the veiw out the window the most out of everything. Kinda sad.

Its a nice place to hangout but when it comes to science as a subject, they need to offer more interactive sessions and more assistants on the floor to guide youngsters and build their understanding or clear their doubts. With more on-floor assistance they can build interest in youngsters and push them towards future pf science. They are charging a good amount and I am sure they can afford to hire more individuals.

Science World has cool stuff for all ages. My 20-month-old loves the new water play area. She also giggles like a maniac as she stumbles through the lights of the virtual drums in the older play area. My 3-year-old runs from exhibit to exhibit, spinning everything he can get his hands on. My 6-year-old spends time reading the info and processing it, but also loves firing stuff out of the air cannons. We all enjoy the natural history exhibits and the transient exhibits are always interesting. A great way ro spend a day, especially a rainy Vancouver winter day.

Incredible!

Every time you go there, there are more to discover with your young kids. A very good learning place. Perfect to spend quality time with family. Strongly recommend, you may sparkle something in the mind of your today's children and make them tomorrow's scientists, engineers etc.

A must see attraction in Vancouver! It was great for the kids, but even as an adult I enjoyed it. There's stuff for a wide range of ages, from little ones to teens. Admission isn't cheap, but you can easily spend a few hours in there, if not more. There are free science based shows and movies, and so much to explore.

I felt like a kid again... even though I'm 25 and I was there by myself getting weird looks from parents with their kids... BUT, on that note, an excellent, educational, hands - on place to take your kids.

I went there with a friend during the Ripleys Believe it or Not exhibit. I honestly thought it would be tailored towards younger kids but there are many different aspects and attractions for people of all ages. Certain areas are for kids primarily but all in all it was a great experience. The views of the water and downtown are amazing from just outside the front doors.
