My toddlers and 9 year old love it here. There's also a great playground outside. Parking is expensive $10 for a few hours. We take full advantage of the membership which gives you entry to childrens museum and other science centres all over the world.

Need a whole day to play most of the stuff here. Kids just live those toys, gadgets, bones, and stuff. It s a place where old meet new place. Great for kids.
When Vancouver was chosen to host the transportation-themed 1986 World's Fair (Expo 86), a Buckminster Fuller inspired geodesic dome was designed by Expo's chief architect Bruno Freschi to serve as the fair's Expo Centre. Construction began in 1984 and was completed by early 1985. After Expo closed its gates in October of the following year, an intensive lobbying campaign was launched to secure the landmark building, relocate the "Arts, Sciences and Technology Centre" into the post-Expo dome, and convert the Expo Centre into Science World. With much government backing, the dome was obtained from the province and a massive fund-raising campaign ensued. Donations from the federal, provincial and municipal governments, the GVRD, the private sector, foundations, and individuals contributed $19.1 million to build an addition to the Expo Centre, redesign the interior and fabricate exhibits. In 1988, in a four-month preview, over 310,000 visitors came to see the new building. A year later, the 400-seat Omnimax theatre in the upper section of the dome was opened, extending upon the 3D IMAX theatre which was built in 1986 for the Expo "Transitions" film series.
Great place for kids from 5 to 95. Great fun, concepts beautifully presented through the various contraptions and even the live demos and shows. Raises everyone's curiosity for the sciences.
Really good experience here, mostly went for the omnimax experience, was not disapointed. Make sure to bring the kids here, they will love the fun games and puzzles.
Went last Monday with a friend and his son. Lots happening, so much information and variety and activities to choose from. The magician (Shawn Farquhar) was superb! Even has a great view of False Creek.
Only thing I thought was poor form (cheap and cheeky) was no re-entry. At nearly $30/adult, with a stamp and dated ticket - why no re-entry? We were hungry and wanted hot food. There is a Triple O s on the main floor, and a candy/chocolate bar counter elsewhere, but on this day, no hot food was available. (fire truck had arrived and left as we arrived). Perhaps if I d asked someone at reception, rather than a young worker by an exit door. But the young gal was firm and didn t permit exceptions. If you eat before you go, you shouldn t have any issues!
Definitely more tailored for children, although can be fun with the right people. A lot of the exhibits were broken or under repair. Any exhibit that had any kind of technology involved felt outdated and not well explained.
Overall, it would be a fun place for a family to check out once.
I remember going to the old downtown location as a kid and then to their current location after they moved post Expo. We don't live in the city bit still have family passes because there's really no better place to take inquisitive kids in the city. Whether for 30 minutes or 3 hours. The kids never want to leave and they learn a lot
It is totally for children. A Canadian version of the Papalote Museo de CDMX. Recommended if you come with children from preschool to elementary school. Otherwise, skip this attraction, it is not worth spending.
I found this as ok ok place, not very exiting. Not sure how it looks in the night time but day time its very ordinary place compares to other attractions in Vancouver.
This place is awesome! Tons of fun, hands on things for the kiddos to do. Something for all ages. Went with my white and 5.5 year old and her cousins who are 4.5 and 2. Everyone had a great time and learned something new. I've been to a bunch of science museum now, and this is by far the best I've seen. I highly recommend it!
An awesome place for everyone to spend time at! They've got heaps of interesting experiments and experimental stuff to do. The movie 'Great Bear Rainforest' is a great documentary and makes you appreciate BC nature wise a whole lot more.
It is a place that science shares in a very interactive way. I loved it, if you want to enjoy everything, you should spend at least 5 hours I would definitely visit again
Took my 18 month old for the first time and she was entertained for hours and so was I. There are areas for babies who can't walk yet , for toddlers and for bigger kids. Adults can goof around and bring out their inner child too. Everyone also leaves learning a new thing or two =)
A wonder world for the children. It is the place to take the awe out of the children. Decorated with different science games the place let the children learn science while playing. This place is full of knowledge for the new buds.
A great place to take your little one. Science world does a great job making learning fun for kids of all ages from 0-teen with engaging activities and presentations.
