On 5 February 2018 the dormer window was installed by Schipper window frames Opmeer. After the first heavy rain shower, serious leakage through the air conditioning unit integrated in the roof. Bed linen, ceiling and beds soaking wet. So office was closed on Saturday morning. Fortunately found through their website "Emergency number". However, this number is not available outside office hours ?! How so then Emergency number? On Monday afternoon, mechanics re-glued the air conditioning unit to the bitumen roof; "must now be absolutely watertight," said engineers. The sealant had not flowed properly due to the cold weather, according to engineers. June 2018, again serious leakage through the air conditioning unit after rain. Same day another mechanic who has re-glued the air conditioning unit, but now with double sealant. "Must be absolutely closed now," said the engineer. Of course wet beds and bedding again and also the ceiling irreparably damaged. Claim ingredient and asked for ceiling repair. The day after my e-mail, I was called back by a service employee who apologized and suggested that the damage be repaired by a recognized professional at the expense of Schipper. Moreover, this lady would have a "flower" delivered to compensate for all the commotion. In itself a great deal were it not for the fact that the different painters and / or repair companies that I approached or did not have time, or did not respond until the end of the year or even did not respond at all. The promised flower was never received either. In the evening of Friday, August 10, during heavy rainfall and a lot of wind, again a water ballet in our bedroom due to leakage through the air conditioning unit on the dormer. The Schipper fa. Could of course not be reached by telephone during the weekend. I requested via email to take urgent action to fix the leak. After waiting in vain for a response today, Monday 13 August, until 1 pm, I contacted myself. After a long wait, I finally got a call from an employee of the R&D department. This lady could not do anything for us because it was impossible to free a skilled technician due to the construction holiday. "It is best to wait until after the construction holiday because we do not have any technicians available earlier" was the response. It's really incredible that a company with such a poor service can still exist. Skipper Frames; Shame on you!!!!
Called them twice and also mailed twice. No feedback whatsoever about a problem with their / my sliding door. Oh yes, except for the time when I called them for the 2nd time and they said that I should send the mail again. I do not understand that they do not give a reaction. Nothing,,, It is now a month ago! The Christmas and New Year's Eve therefore I can not use the door.
Beautiful plastic frames, that certainly but that placed in a beautiful and nicely finished dormer window has not worked for me. They did not understand and implement my wishes when determining the height as well as when measuring and eventually placing it. An intimidating "surveyor" who does not understand what the customer wants and subsequently finishes very sloppily and leaves a lot of damage and mess behind. Schipper does (unfortunately, insufficient) compensation, since the problems are recognized. A terrible mistake for me to work with Schipper.
P.s. Now it turns out that two identical sizes of mosquito nets are also a challenge for Schipper. Anyway way too late and now wait longer ... Just don't do it anymore!
P.p.s.s. : when you inquire about what Schipper frames understand about "emergency" due to the correct insect screen delivery, it appears that 2 months is quite normal in their "emergency" jargon. The summer is then over and the hearing is no longer needed until next year. Deeply sad what they mean by after-care or customer service.
Very bad experience. Dakkapel bought but due to illness she did not come from places to finally call a lot new appointment ... company adheres badly to appointments would be called back several times but unfortunately this does not happen .. otherwise there can be no excuse and if you yourself no steps had been taken there had not yet been a dormer would also no longer do business with such a poorly organized company
Purchasing a dormer window was very pleasant. Go through all options and options and discuss them. Good honest advice. I'm curious how the placement goes, then an update will follow.
Very pleased with how it all went. From quotation to installation. Everything went smoothly. The technicians were very (customer) friendly. Have everything properly assembled and neatly tidy. Even took the old frame with you. Recommendation to others.
I drop my principle of writing a review, thanks to Fa. Skipper. When placing a new front door in October 2017, there are various damage spots, which looks like a production problem. It is now April 2019, and I am more than tired of Schipper, to put it mildly. Three doors down (same complaint), non-compliance with agreements, failure to show up by appointment, no e-mail response, etc. My advice, please do NOT go with Schipper if you are a "small" private person !!! Even a star's chance is too much !!
We live on the west side of Den Helder against the dune area where the wind from the west has free play, which gives a high wind load on our front door. To keep the wind out we had put toggles on the door to keep out the howling wind and we had to go in and out the back of the house. That was difficult when someone rang the bell. Then made a porch that worked better but in wind and rain everything got wet behind the door because the toggles from the outside did not work. After a long search, we came to Schippers who solved our problem by installing a new door with a 5-point closure with a double rubber seal and that feels like opening a walk-in refrigerator door. We are very well served and happy with the result. We have had rain and storm, but no dripping inside, even with the door of the lock, the door is locked at 3 points so that the door will not budge in strong gusts of wind.
Neatly received. Spacious showroom. Provides a good idea of the possibilities. Excellent explanation. Ample time was taken to discuss everything and to come to a quotation.
For the second time "done" with Schipper, purely good experiences. In terms of price quite reasonable. Quite a long delivery time, commissioned in November, the frames and doors were installed on 1 May. This was known in advance that it would not be possible in the very short term, but also agreed to it, so that is not a criticism.
Friendly, knowledgeable and just staff visited, assembled and cleaned up in 3 days. At the end of every working day everything neatly cleaned up, not in the mess. I read quite a few negative experiences about Schipper here, but I don't recognize anything at all. We are very satisfied with Schipper, would definitely work with this company again in the future
Representative appears to be understanding and cooperative. After quotation no longer approachable for agreements made and excessively high calculation.
In recent years 3x contacted Schipper for a quote. None of these times received a decent response, while in my opinion my requests were extremely polite and correct. I am now ready with Schipper, given these extremely disappointing experiences. A stark contrast with others in the region who offer their services in this sector.
Staff shows knowledge. Nice showroom. Quotation could have solved some points of attention, yet it could resolve quickly. The new frame and front door must still be installed. Have faith in it!
1 working day before delivery, I called as a customer about the delivery time and it turned out to be postponed by 2 weeks. I managed the installation myself, so this does not make you happy as a customer. After following this again myself, the order could be brought forward as a rush.
And upon delivery, the frame turns out to be incomplete. Now I can only mount a frame without glass, etc.
No communication from Schipper that a deadline will not be met. As a customer you have to deal with this. Apparently there is work enough to no longer have to think about customer contact.
Update August 14: We are now 9 months later when the battle to have the frame delivered. We are now struggling to get new hinges. The hinges on 2 frames are defective again. Every time we call, we have to wait a month for service and something turns out to be wrong.
This makes me desperate. As a customer I run into a wall of bureaucracy and every time I am sent into the reed with a lump. They are standard types of hinges that are provided for the entire neighborhood.
