On 5 February 2018 the dormer window was installed by Schipper window frames Opmeer.
After the first heavy rain shower, serious leakage through the air conditioning unit integrated in the roof. Bed linen, ceiling and beds soaking wet.
So office was closed on Saturday morning. Fortunately found through their website "Emergency number". However, this number is not available outside office hours ?! How so then Emergency number?
On Monday afternoon, mechanics re-glued the air conditioning unit to the bitumen roof; "must now be absolutely watertight," said engineers. The sealant had not flowed properly due to the cold weather, according to engineers.
June 2018, again serious leakage through the air conditioning unit after rain.
Same day another mechanic who has re-glued the air conditioning unit, but now with double sealant. "Must be absolutely closed now," said the engineer.
Of course wet beds and bedding again and also the ceiling irreparably damaged.
Claim ingredient and asked for ceiling repair.
The day after my e-mail, I was called back by a service employee who apologized and suggested that the damage be repaired by a recognized professional at the expense of Schipper. Moreover, this lady would have a "flower" delivered to compensate for all the commotion. In itself a great deal were it not for the fact that the different painters and / or repair companies that I approached or did not have time, or did not respond until the end of the year or even did not respond at all. The promised flower was never received either.
In the evening of Friday, August 10, during heavy rainfall and a lot of wind, again a water ballet in our bedroom due to leakage through the air conditioning unit on the dormer.
The Schipper fa. Could of course not be reached by telephone during the weekend.
I requested via email to take urgent action to fix the leak.
After waiting in vain for a response today, Monday 13 August, until 1 pm, I contacted myself. After a long wait, I finally got a call from an employee of the R&D department. This lady could not do anything for us because it was impossible to free a skilled technician due to the construction holiday.
"It is best to wait until after the construction holiday because we do not have any technicians available earlier" was the response.
It's really incredible that a company with such a poor service can still exist.
