Lots of classes and quite a bit of equipment. Gym is kind of small, some spaces have to be on the general floor (Ie. Trx). No "cold" water fountains. Trainers are all very nice and good at what they do.

Very family based..i dont feel intimidated when i come in. I love the day care too. They take a break from 1-4 just FYI

Good facility. Lately though the pool is dominated by youth teams and classes .if you need to use the pool after business hours your out of luck .I started going to gold's again because of the schedule.

The pool is freezing, they said the heater broke, but of course didn't tell us until after we paid got in it. :(

I have been a member since October 2016 and I love this Y. I have been to other gyms that are not nearly as nice or as welcoming as the Y and the other gyms cost far more. The instructors in the group classes are supportive while at the same time encouraging the participants to go on to the next level.

Friendly staff, clean and cozy environment with good selection of equipment and activities. Offers daycare. Too Expensive and can get crowded.

I like the small class size for swimming. The instructors are patient and calm when teaching my children to swim.

Child watch is amazing. I trust them with my 1 year old.

Very good facilities. The staff does a great job keeping the building clean.

No longer support Activetrax which was primarily why I was using the Y.

Best Family GYM in the Schertz area. They provide 2 hours of child watch and have a room for the older kids to hang out and place ping pong or watch movies. They are slated to finish the pool and splash pad area in October. The Y camps are a lot of fun for younger kids and they have a parents night out every month or so. If you don't have family in the area, it's a great way to have a date night!

Very family friendly. The only thing missing is a Sauna.

The new pool is excellent. The work out areas are very good. Free childcare while you workout is a big plus.

Beautiful facility and aquatic center and terrific, helpful, friendly staff that go out of their way to help.

The best gym for families. My whole family is here at least 4 days a week. We all love it.

Worst customer service there is you called to ask on a membership and they'll hang up on you. The front desk had an attitude the whole conversation.

Nicest YMCA I've been to. Clean, big with plenty of workout options. Staff was actually friendly and helpful. "Child watch" was organized and teachers were nice and ready to be with children. I thoroughly enjoyed the aqua zumba class I attended. The instructor was new, competent and fun loving. Music was great.

Karen is an amazing teacher! I left the class having learned to do SEVEN strokes. And, now I can tread water too. Taking this class was one of the best decisions I ever made. Now I know how to swim!

Most of the staff here are friendly and helpful but a few have very poor attitudes and are just flat out rude.

I love this place! Great people, good music, motivating classes and impeccable childcare!

My son had wonderful instructors and really improved his swimming skills. He went from being afraid to being a confident swimmer.

I really enjoyed my swim classes. The instructors were awesome, especially Patrick. He was so patient. He took the time to constantly critique us and show us how to improve our strokes and techniques.

Upon entry I was treated disrespectfully over not having a mask. I have no problem wearing one but simply forgot. A younger girl at the front desk was extremely extremely rude and condescending when speaking to me. Then when I tried to address it she could not receive any feed back whats so ever. She has a nasty attitude. I have been a member for over 15 years at the ymca and have never been talked down to like that.
Everyone else has been friendly but this location needs serious attitude adjustment. This is why I try to avoid this location but there are only so many YMCAs to go to.

I love that the program employees interact with the students on a daily basis, both in doing their homework and socially.

Very clean and well staffed facility. Not many workout stations. Recommend coming at less busy times.
Has indoor pool, rockwall, indoor basketball courts, tons of treadmills and elipticals, and a decent variety of workout machines

I love the Schertz Y, they have some of the best instructors I have ever seen! They push you, they challenge you, and they're very dedicated to the the progress of your journey!

Super clean, lots of equipment and classes and activities for kids. Child care is more than five stars. Theyre people are amazing.

My boys love the summer camps and sports programs. I love the gym and staff. Very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful facilities! Our son is taking swim lessons at the Aquatic Center and they are amazing! His swim instructor is so patient and encouraging with him. Everyone we have come into contact with is very polite and helpful.

Always something for everyone in my family to do.

I've never had a YMCA membership before now. My family and I have been coming here for the last 6 months and I have to say I am beyond impressed with everything about the experience. I've been to Gold's, I've been to 24 hour, I've been to planet fitness and for a family there isn't a better place. The splash pad has been closed the whole year unfortunately but the day care is AMAZING. They know my kids names, they are happy(I'm serious) to be there. I think as a parent it's really good to work out but you also don't ever want to feel like you're neglecting your kids to do so. Coming to the YMCA has never felt like that! My kids love coming. We are moving to a different city but I would highly recommend for anyone to come here!

Zumba with Stephanie is awesome! She's the reason for half of the Y memberships. Love her!

Maybe it was late but restrooms and locker rooms were dirty

The three times I have been there since I became a member have been very impressive and enjoyable for me. The staff is always very gracious and welcoming and are so helpful in answering all your questions and made an appointment for a tour and information that will help me get the best results for my situation. I feel very comfortable coming here and look forward to reach my goals and make many nice friends.

The group fitness classes are great! I have loved TRX HIIT with motivating and fun instructors Iris and Lindsey, and Body Pump is excellent, too. The Kidswatch program is very welcoming - my kids always have fun with the wide array of activities, and I feel confident that my children are in good hands. The Christian focus is encouraging and uplifting. Thank you for making me and my family stronger and healthier!

The instructor was very supportive and encouraging. She listened to my concerns and provided guidance. I am definitely interested in taking private lessons which I am hoping I can learn more. I would recommend Bonnie (instructor) and the Y. Overall, great experience!!!

Although the actual instructor didn't run the class until class 3, I love how he interacts with the kids and provides feedback on how I can help my children with swimming. They are loving it and I would recommd their swim classes. My children are 5 and 6 and are much more confident in their skills.

Very freindly atmosphere . Childcare staff is super sweet and remember the children by name. Love the Zumba class. Gaby is absolutely AmAzInG. Family no judgement atmosphere.

I love the versatility in the programs that are offered and the multiple times available for anyone's schedule. The instructors have a great personality and help correct form, where needed, in a considerate way. I enjoy the sports that are available for our child ranging from basketball to soccer. The coaches are wonderful with children and both the YMCA and coaches are considerate of the parent's time when scheduling practices.

Great gym with stuff to do for the whole family. Large playground outside and a splash pad. Membership is very affordable.

Currently undergoing some remodeling in the women's locker room showers but there are more showers available by the indoor lap/ swimming pool. They also offer group workout for Homeschoolers twice a week in the morning.

Love the water aerobics instructors. Get a great workout. The instructors keep the pace moving. People are very friendly. Pool is very clean and well maintained.

There are so many activities, programs and classes to choose from, there really is something for everyone. Every instructor and staff member has been wonderful, I highly recommend the Schertz Y!
