Excellent facilities, wonderful staff and swim instructors! Will be signing up my child for lessons again! Highly recommend! We also are considering a membership based on our experience!

Clean, friendly and organized are my first impressions. Mostly what makes my experience renewable is that my kids love coming to the YMCA and it has become a positive experience being able to bring them and have a little worry free time for myself.

Super well run YMCA. My wife loves all of the instructors in her classes, my kids love the child center.

I'm a stickler for well run operations, and Abel & Curt did a fantastic job supporting us as coaches of the Soccer / Volleyball programs.

My son's toddler soccer coach Nathan was STELLAR too. So great with kids. Hopefully they keep hiring amazing people like this.

Couldn't recommend this place enough!

I've actually really enjoyed myself over there but I've just recently found out that members at the YMCA walzem only pay $55 a month for the same "family 1" plan...so not ok to charge us $23 more a month, that's over 40% more... just not ok!!!

I recently completed swimming lessons at the Schertz YMCA. It was the best experience; especially for someone who was fearful of swimming. My instructor, Andrew is the best ever! He represents the YMCA well!

Been a member for 3 years now and have never had any problems. The staff is ok but I don t go to the gym to converse with them, but if I do have any questions, I m always greeted with a smile and a prompt answer. I d choose this gym over any of the local gyms in the area. My only knock on the gym is random people talking to me during my workout but that issue could happen in any gym.

It all depends on your interests, whether the YMCA at Schertz is good or not. I have a lot of exercise equipment at home, so I joined just to play pickleball. Pickleball seems to be their first choice to cancel to have kids programs everytime kids are out for a school break. I realize that kids programs are important, but I think they could use some other areas sometimes for them for even 1/2 of the gym.

To me, it's a way for the Y to get more money. They get my monthly dues, but cancel the program that I go for and then charge parents to bring their kids there.... getting more money.

I thought this might be different, once the Cibolo Y opened up because they probably wouldn't have kids programs at both, but.... Thanksgiving break is here and pickleball is most likely canceled till the Friday after Thanksgiving. The same thing will happen for Christmas, I can bet on it. Then summer will roll around and pickleball will be at the bottom of the list again.... more cancellations.

The young instructors are very professional and their feedbacks ( regrading improvements, what they need to work on and what they are doing really well) to the kids/parents each post classes.
