Scheels has a great location in South OP. All the employees there seem happy to be there and are willing to help. They have a good selection of local shirts and hats. The Charlie Hustle stuff is pretty pricey though. Still have yet to ride the ferris wheel.

Outstanding service and super friendly staff. Huge selection.

Beautiful store, but its criminally understaffed. I went in around 4:30 to get some fishing gear, and then spent the next thirty minutes carrying around a couple hundred dollars in fishing gear waiting to be helped with a new rod and reel as well. There was one young man working the entire department who was swamped. But at the same time I saw maybe eight or nine managers walking around, not sure why there is such an imbalance of staff. Now I have to drive all the way across town to bass pro, shame as again the building and interior are gorgeous.

Hands down the best sporting goods store around. Their selection is incredible, their customer service is amazing, and the building has all kinds of attractions for the whole family

The worst customer service I have ever seen I drive a hour and a half to get to this store to look for a hunting jacket and when I got there I asked the guy that worked in the hunting dept. Which happened to be the store manger about there jackets if they had some any where else in the store.. he then told me I didn't know what I was looking for nor did I never go hunting that all he would ever hunt is water fowl.... I was stunned so u will never come to another sheels in my life for the way I was treated there I will us bass pro before I ever go there again....

This is an exciting store to visit. They have almost everything you can imagine related to sports. The ferris wheel makes it a fun destination for my kids and the cafe with the fudge and gelato is super exciting:)

This is a great store. It has everything for all sports and more with a cool cafe and even a home decor shop. I attended a conference in the events center and it was very comfortable and great service with A-V services. And could go shopping on breaks!!

It's a bit pricey but sometimes you find clearence!! Fun just to explore. Fish tanks, Ferris wheel, cafe with fudge and cookies they will warm up for you. Lots of animals to look at and picture taking booths. We spent two hours there yesturday just walking around.

However the ferris wheel people dont moniter the line and 8 people 1 adult and 7 kids were allowed to go under the ropes and cut the line. Which made our wait time alot longer. Was super disappointed one in that one adult and in the staff for not saying something to them to wait their own turn.
Also our warmed cookies yesturday were not as warm as usual.

normally impressed with this store but today went to go spend 200 dollars on running shoes and they ve got a rude blonde kid as the only guy working there. He ignored me when I handed my shoes back and told him since i asked for grey shoes and he brought me the white ones that these wouldn t be good because I run outside. He said nothing back. Maybe he was busy but I work retail all day and don t treat people like that.

This Scheels location is always staffed with friendly employees who are willing to assist you. They also are always stocked with a wide variety of brands though they do not have size fifteen shoes for my monstrous feet.

I highly recommend this location because of the friendly staff, indoor attractions (fish tank & ferris wheel), and the fantastic selection.

This place is huge! You could get lost in there. If they don't have it, they probably don't make it. Really nice. Biggest store I've ever been in I think. The animatronic Thomas Jefferson, Ferris Wheel, huge aquariums were pretty cool also.

High quality gear and very helpful staff. You can spend hours here.

This was first time at Scheels. I was totally amazed! Loved EVERYTHING!

Big store full of sportswear, bikes of all price ranges, college team wear, rackets, balls .. even a Ferris wheel. I shop there quite frequently, mostly to get hoodies, shorts, T-shirts, and also to get my badminton rackets strung. Staff is always friendly, helpful and the people at the repair shop/stringing service are especially friendly and the turnaround time is great.

Good 2 great love it , its remains me 9f bass pro .

Awesome place to take the family for some free/cheap fun. My kids love the playground and the bowling. Prices on items are a bit high but the overall experience of this store is fun. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They even have a restaurant inside!

Fun place to go w kids. Lots for them to do. Plus lots of choices for shopping.

I will just say this anything you ever wanted is in this place! From sporting gear, sporting items to in style clothing. You could spend hours in this place. Fun for the kids also, lots of interactive things to do besides looking at the huge aquarium that is located right by the front door. Has a Ferris wheel in the middle of the shopping area too!

Our sales person, Corbin, provided great information while we made our final decision on which kayak we would purchase. We purchased our second kayak - an awesome Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 and can t wait to get it on the water! Great shopping experience with no pressure sales. We would suggest Corbin to anyone seeking kayak or outdoor camping equipment, as he is a Camping Manager.

Had a great experience this weekend looking for cold weather work clothes with a friend. We found the department and looked around for help when we were
approached by a sales rep in the best way...he wanted us to be able to look but wanted to let us know he would be nearby to answer questions. I did not get his name. He was tall and slender with grey
hair (but young) and a facility with Spaniish. He helped us with materials and lining and certain sewing methods that would hold cold air out. He referred us upstairs and gave clear directions to find more options. When we went back down
we looked for him and he helped us further with hoods and masks for snowy/icy weather and gloves. We really appreciated being able to just say what we were looking for and he would pull out the option, help with sizes and give us the
important points. A great buying experience that was painless!

Went to purchase a new K-State shirt. Was disappointed that there wasn't a salesperson assigned in the women's department so I could try it on.

Found the Thermarest Luxury Map mattress pad that I was looking for.

Loved the store! There was something for everyone. We spent at least an hour and are sure we didn't see it all. I will be back!

First time at Scheels. Prices were very comparable. Staff was very friendly. Social distancing was in place and CDC guidelines were being observed.

Awesome selection, not the cheapest prices, but all the latest gear and fast friendly check out. Sale markdowns are good too.

Seriously, this is my new favorite store. The prices are great, the staff is friendly, and they have awesome products. This place tops Cabelas, bass pro shop and other sport and out door stores. The layout of the store is great and is very clean. My new go-to for camping gear and firearms accessories.

I love Scheels bcuz they teach American history through bronze statues of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Reagan.

Really enjoyed the store; had different activities to entertain kids (of all ages) and was impressed at variety they had to offer in store!

The best place to go to look at their saltwater tank and to ride a Ferris wheel inside the building. It s amazing they can offer such amazing deals and prices with all they have, but it is by far the best sports experience!

Rode the Ferris wheel, bowled, bought shoes, shirts, and some fishing lures.

Fun place to shop or even just to take the family. They have an amazing aquarium and Ferris Wheel inside. Wow. The staff working there are very friendly, helpful, cheerful. Unbeatable customer service.

Very nice selection of sporting goods and ammo they have plenty and stock of AR-15 ammo 223 and 556. They automated president Lincoln was awesome

I like this place a lot better than the other big outdoor stores. The selection is a bit lacking but the staff is polite and eager to help.

This place is HUGE! And it has everything. Went on the Ferris Wheel with my niece and she had a good time. I could shop in here for hours.

Great place to find all your sport needs. FYI, they even carry paint ball gear and fill air tanks up to 4500 psi.

Definitely would advise you to go shopping here. It has everything you need from camping to hunting to water sports and snow sports to clothes. It has almost every sport you can think of. Their service is good to and it is almost always clean. It has a restaurant in the back that is good to the fairis wheel is fun for the children. They have game there that you can play baseball basket ball and basicly any other game you can imagine. It has good parking and it is close to oak park mall too.

This place has a Ferris Wheel in it. Check it out! This is more main stream sports though. So, if its a specialized sport most likely it won't have accessories or items for it. Still a very nice place, friendly staff, and okay price.

Beware if you have a peanut allergy!!! The "knock your socks off" chocolate chip cookie bars do not list peanuts or peanut butter on the ingredient label, so I purchased one and gave part of it to my son who is allergic only to peanuts. We sat down in the cafe to eat, and a couple of minutes after eating some of the cookie he said his tongue was tingling. I went back to verify with the associate behind the counter at the cafe that it did not contain peanut ingredients, and she responded, "Oh yeah, that has peanut butter in it." Excuse me?!? Why is that not on the label??? I rushed him to the closest hospital immediately and we have been here the past 3 hours while he is being treated for an allergic reaction. WHY ARE PEANUTS/PEANUT BUTTER NOT LISTED AS AN INGREDIENT OR ALLERGEN IN THIS PRODUCT???

Nice facility, has ferris wheel inside. Many stuffed animals and auto electronic presidents. Sporting goods selections is good. Price is expected for sporting goods store. Staff is very helpful.

I love it here the workers are awesome and the whole time I was here there was a gentleman named nick that was very helpful and showed me everything I was wanting to look at and answered all my questions I will definitely be coming back

Love going here compared to cabelas and bass pro. Better prices here and friendly employees that actually know what they are selling.
