Scheels Overland Park Review

They had a nice selection of shoes for my daughter. The floor people were all very nice.

They always make it so difficult to return/exchange something. I purchased two super bowl chiefs shirts that ended up being to big on my scheels card. The customer service rep in the return area pretty much told me I was out of luck and he couldn t find a receipt on my Scheels card. After arguing with him for 5 min he magically found it. Stop being such a pain to work with.

Great places to buy sports goods. Also, a fun place for kids to explore sports.

Nice clean place to shop for just about everything outdoors. They have great prices on most items. Friendly staff ready to help in each section of the store.

I absolutely love this place. The y have an enormous variety of everything and the prices are fair. There is a ferris wheel and shooting area for kids to do laser shooting. It's set up like a mall and it's always clean and beautiful. Bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms I've ever been in

Big store! Certain departments have better help than others. Clothes you're on your own.. guns, golf and fishing have the best service.

The staff was very helpful and were very nice. Any employee that walked by ask how i was doing and if I need any help.

We always go in there just to look around or get one item and end up spending over $100 every time! I love this store!!

Came in at 8:30 right after a soccer game right up the street at OP. We are from Topeka and it s one of my son s favorite stores. He loves their sandwiches.

Long story short. We didn t know the kitchen had already closed an hour earlier. My son was bummed. A very kind employee Kevin was cleaning up and asked if he could help us. My son wanted a ham and cheese sandwich. Kevin said no problem he would get us taken care of. He didn t even think twice about it.

This place never ceases to amaze me with their customer service.

This place is really a site to see. It includes a ferris wheel ($1 to ride), arcade shooting games, and even talking historical figures (These are my favorite! Kids need exercise AND education). But be prepared, the location of this store and it's brand new giant building at e reflected in the prices of most of the items. You can still find a deal, but it'll be a challenge. If you're not afraid of high end items with fancy prices, you can find almost anything you need.

Great customer service, kyle in the watersports is awesome. I lost hardware for my bindings to a wakeboard i just purchased wens. dropped in the lake wens night by accident and they got me hooked up with stuff from another board on fri so i could still wakeboard this weekend, literally took bolts from another brand new board and let me have it because they didnt have parts for sale yet. If i could give 6 stars i would. Makes bass pro look like dime store quality.

I thought it would be a one stop shop. Not so . Had Crossbows but no Crossbow scopes & very little Accessories.

I love this store and love everything in there but I rarely buy anything! Oh well, I'll keep coming back anyway!

Absolutely one of the top three retail establishments in the Kansas City metro area when it comes to customer service inside and outside of the store. If they sell what I m looking for that s is where I will purchase it.

We LOVE this place. I have a toddler and a husband this place occupies them both and I enjoy shopping here as well.

Little more expensive than Amazon on some stuff. But being able to physically see and hold the wide variety of stuff is worth the up charge

I have been to many of the Bass Pro's and Cabela's across the country and Scheels wipes the floor with them.

This place is insane. We spent hours in there and didn't even see it all. It's literally a tourist destination.

Had items/supplies for every sport/activity you could think of. Even a spot for home decor so the wives don't get bored.

I could write and write about this place but I won't. Just go there. You will be impressed.

One thing I will touch on that I find VERY important is the checkout process. Everybody loves Amazon because of how easy and fast the checkout process is.

If you have ever been to Cabelas or Bass Pro you know the checkout process is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and SLOW. I dont go there because I hate their checkouts that much.

Scheels checkout process was SO FAST though. Like each person's items took less than a minute to check out. Scan, swipe card, here's your receipt. FAST n EASY

Please build a Scheels in the St Louis region. Preferably, St Charles county area!

Went here for the first time and was interested in information on some of their fire arms in stock. The team member whom I was asking was zero help. The rest of the store seemed really nice.

It's a sporting goods store and playground all in one. A little on the pricier side for some things but be on look out for good sales.

This was our first visit and we were very impressed. It's a combination of Cabela's and Dick's. There was a wide variety of products and many things to do. The employees were very attentive too.

I just bought my Trek Marlin 6 at the Overland Park store, and I could not be more pleased. I worked with Jeff, who was exceedingly knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and able to answer all my questions. The Scheels' shopping experience, their staff, and products are some of the most desirable in the sporting goods community. Purchasing goods there is always a pleasant experience.

Ended up buying two guns that we weren t planning on. They were very busy but got us in and out quickly. The Fishing manager sold us one item and was very patient and knowledgeable. Not sure of his name but a younger fella with tree tattoos on arm. Super nice, and helped us even giving a recommendation for a restaurant that we loved. We will be back.

It is a camping, hunting, fishing and sporting goods store. There are interesting photo opps with wildlife and history lessons with animatronic Abe Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson. The aquarium is cool. The Ferris wheel is also a must.

Upper scale sports store, very professional staff in all departments. It is very child "friendly" with a decent size Ferris wheel, target displays, soccer area and talking Thomas Jefferson who describes Constitution and early United States. They have a design department for homes. Most interesting retail store!

Absolutely love this place! Their staff members are so nice and courteous! The gun department is one of the best organized and all around well kept I've seen.

I had a weight belt that I bough and didn't realize it was the wrong size until after I already wrote my name on the inside.

I called in and they said it was no big deal and hat they could sand it off. I brought it in to get a new size and there was a $30 price difference for some reason. It took getting verification from different departments but they worked with me to do an even exchange.

Best customer service I've ever experienced! Even though I did not pay extra for any of my items, I would have just for the staff there. We stopped at Scheels for my son's birthday....they had ferris wheel closed but gave him a free fudge packet. The staff were super friendly and helpful...it made for a pleasant day!

Love this store! I go here after work for a fun time. There's a coffee shop and cafe, $1 mini bowling, a HUGE farriswheel, and a ton of other fun activities here. Not to mention amazing merchandise and always super friendly employees. If you haven't been here, you need to come! You won't regret it. The ferriswheel is only $1, by the way. :)

I have always had great customer service here. Great staff and very helpful. They have everything. However the prices are sometimes a bit much, but they are willing to price match. Over all great family place for a fariswheel and quick Bolling game.

Gorgeous store, lack of inventory. I have taken my kids here several times for shoes and they never have their size. I guess I will go to Amazon and retailers can continue to wonder why they are making less money.

I stopped into Scheels in Overland Park Ks today to look at women's sunglasses. I left and got back to work and realized I had dropped a small amount of cash out of my pocket so I called to see if anyone had found it. I was so surprised when the manager told me he had found it and had tried to find me in the store. I am so thankful and inspired that there are still honest people out there. I will defiantly go back to get my stunners there!

Pricey but watch for sales. Fun stuff to do and see as well

I'm a fan. Nice having more options than the usual sporting goods stores. Just wish they had one on the Missouri side.

I had a special order and waited a whole month to get my order. When the order arrived, it was not the color that I specified. It was not Scheels fault but they still made it right. I didn t want to wait another month so I settled for what they had and they gave me a 20% discount on top of the special discounted price. I ended up paying about 50% percent off retail. You treat customers right and they ll come back with friends.

All for sports in a warm atmosphere, with excellent service.

Their archery service was excellent! The man behind the counter (i didnt catvh his name) was very polite and extremely helpful! He seemed very knowledgeable of ehat he was doing. They were able to fix my bow issue in a sufficiant amount of time! All and all im extremely thrilled with the help i received.

I had a problem/issue with a purchase of a TheraGun. John in the department where the TheraGuns are located was terrific! He went well above and beyond and made completely fixed my bad situation. He completely exceeded my expectations of what would happen when I went in to get my issue fixed. Because of this treatment I will never buy sporting goods from anywhere else moving forward. Highly recommended. Great job John! Thank you!

Are just when into shields a few minutes ago. Apparently the people working there have not heard of the C19 virus. I saw a only one cashier who had a face mask on. Almost all of the customers had no face mask. I was looking to buy some shoes. In front of the shoe display there was a woman standing blocking access and texting away. When I asked her if she was shopping for shoes she said no . So I ask if we could please maintain social distancing so that I could look. She gave me a dirty look and stepped 2' to the right. This was all under the watchful eye of an employee who also was not masked. He was little or no help and didn't seem to know the merchandise so I decided to end my shopping strip to shieds. Do these people understand that wearing a mask is showing respect for the customers and fellow shoppers.?

Their customer service is phenomenal. Selection in the store is great and they generally have a lot of stock in hand. You will not come away disappointed with your sporting goods purchase.

Very good selection of higher end gear and good prices but frankly the place is too over the top for me. Multiple levels, Ferris wheels, automated Thomas Jefferson... I'm there for the gear, not an amusement park.

I had a great experience at Scheels! They are similar to Bass Pro and have a huge inventory. The salesperson I dealt with was very knowledgeable, which counts for a lot! I was waited on promptly, professionally, and courteously. The salesperson showed me exactly how to disassemble and reassemble the item I purchased. I will definitely visit Scheels again, with no reservations whatsoever. I highly recommend this store.

This store is huge! Lots of great brands! Very clean with a very nice staff! Tge best part of Scheels is that it is dog friendly! Loved being able to bring my dog. My dog even met another dog there! Only thing missing at Scheels is clothes for dogs - Scheels definitely needs to add sweaters, shoes, shirts and collars for dogs!

Great place to shop has great shopping options and great soccer fields. One of the best stores to shop at.
