Great pasta, excellent house wine (both red & white), perfect desserts. Attentive service. Four of us totally enjoyed our dinner tonight. Keep up the good work! Do make reservation, as we saw a couple of walk-in customers got turned away. Will sure be back to this restaurant if I ever return to the area.

We came here our last night in Margaret River. Wish we'd found it sooner! Very hearty and tasty authentic Italian fare. Service was excellent. Prices very reasonable. We couldn't help but notice that we seemed to be surrounded by Italian diners, an excellent sign and testament to the quality here. Will be back next time!

Very authentic Italian food. Extremely tasty and fresh. I asked the waiter about the food coming out in a paper bag which he said was the traditional way of cooking it, letting the pasta steam in the bag and enhance the flavour. Must be true because it was sensational. Great service and good sized meals. Would come back again for sure.

There was four of us. The staff was outstanding. They looked after us always. The food, oh the food, what can I say. It was the best Italian I've ever had. If I lived here I would definitely be here often. Thank you for a great meal and evening.

Fantastic service, great food. We ordered the calamari Frutti bruschetta, papardelle coda alla vaccinara & tortellini so funghi. The tomatoes in the bruschetta would be nicer if they were chopped up smaller. They were a little too chunky. I recommend this place & would eat here again

The atmosphere is something unique, starting from the waiters to the homemade pasta, everything seems to bring you right in Italy. The authentic cuisine is something you can t find in any other Italian restaurant in Margaret River and the customer service is exceptional. Highly recommend!

My wife and I returned after a long time between holidays and found the staff to be really polite & helpful. Food was delicious and I couldn't help picking off from her Tagliatelle. Garlic bread was top notch.
We left with a nice reminder of how good Margaret River is. Pics of the food is after we started and put cheese on top.

Unfortunately have to leave a poor review for La Scarpetta Trattoria after our experience this evening.

Upon being seated and the order being taken, a member of our party asked for a cocktail that was not on the menu, but was told it could not be provided (which was fine) so another option was selected off the menu.

One of the managers (Irish guy) then went ahead and strongly recommended another cocktail instead that was gin based. The member of our party said what if they didn't like it, to which the manager then said it could be changed if this was the case, so they went ahead with his recommendation.

The cocktail arrived and two sips later our party member didn't like it and asked for it to be changed, which it was. The rest of the evening proceeded and eventually it was time to pay.

Upon checking the bill the gin-based cocktail that was returned was still on there, so we mentioned this and another manager (Italian guy) came over to discuss.

We told him the situation of what was discussed with the Irish manager earlier regarding the cocktail, but instead of taking it onboard he said that the Irish manager had gone home and that he (Irish manager) would never have recommended a cocktail and allowed it be exchanged if the the customer didn't like it.

Sure enough despite repeated attempts to talk with him he flat out refused to discuss the situation or remove the cocktail from the bill. He acted like we were trying to get 50% off the whole bill instead of trying to get one item amended off our $250+ bill.

Never had this happen before in a restaurant but sure enough it left an impression that was not a positive one.

As a side note the dishes were fantastic and the service was even better from the wait staff, despite the aforementioned manager in dire need of interacting with customers training.

Very good Italian restaurant, with Italian kitchen staff. We had not booked and there was no more room, but the boss agreed to sit us in the hall near the wood fire. We ate well and the atmosphere was warm. The decor is very friendly. I recommend for lovers of Italian cuisine.

We have been coming here for over 10years now. From Perth we always make sure we have at least one dinner here on our travels South. The food, service, atmosphere, and quality for price is fantastic. Congratulations on a place we know always lives up to great standards, where we can bring friends from overseas and know that it will not disappoint. Thanks again to management and staff for another lovely night

From the decor to the service, superb, we ordered the salt and pepper squid, just delicious, then the main came, have never eaten a pasta dish like it. Truly delicious again. Didn't need a desert as the Lemon Meringue Pie cocktail was wonderful.
Worth the drive .

Three times I visited La Scarpetta at Margaret Riv...

Three times I visited La Scarpetta at Margaret River, and three times they fed me delicious Italian food. The trattoria has a warm atmosphere, and I always enjoyed my time there. It's a perfect spot to have a sip of wine and limoncello to finish your meal with.

The first time I visited La Scarpetta was when I had a girl trip with my best friend to Margaret River. The last time was this year. Somehow I always visited the restaurant in the winter time. I usually ordered a different dish to have at the restaurant. My goal is to try all of their pasta dishes that already sound so yum from the menu.

The owner of La Scarpetta works at Xanadu Winery on the weekend. The reason was simple: he loves wine, and he loves Xanadu range of wines. I was surprised when I met him during the wine tasting at Xanadu. The trattoria is one of the much-loved restaurants in Margaret River. A lot of locals visited this place as well.

I like La Scarpetta's Linguini al Cartoccio that is served in a paper bag. It's oven baked linquini with prawns, clams, zucchini, and white wine. The portion is huge, and you can take it away for the next day.

During my last visit to Margaret River, Sharon and I got to try their Zampone. Zampone is a traditional New Year's Eve dish of slow-boiled pigs trotter, stuffed with Italian sausage, pancetta, and vegetables. It was served on a bed of braised lentils and pancetta. We were told that lentils symbolise money or fortune, and pork trotters symbolise luck.

I think it's now a tradition to visit La Scarpetta whenever a trip to Margaret River comes up. La Scarpetta is located at the town of Margaret River, and there is plenty of street parking available. If you're not sure what wine to order with your meal, the staff are helpful and able to suggest some wines with a different price point.

Friendly staff, decently priced food and drink. The restaurant inside is very great. I found the menu a bit hard to read and understand but that was just me personally I think. The language and the lighting made it difficult for me. But overall a great experience ,would recommend and I I'll go back one day.

I feel bad we didn't take any photos but it's because the food looked too good and we wanted to eat right away!!

Everything we had was amazing but hands down, we were most impressed by the best calamari we've ever had.

Would recommend the Gnocchi and Ravioli dishes!

The staff were also so wonderful and accommodating as we had our infant daughter with us and were worried it might be trouble. Nope everyone who came by our table was lovely.

Thank you all for being such a wonderful part of our holiday!

This place is beautiful, with real charm. The food was incredible too, flavour, seasoned, and the home made pasta is delicious and was cooked perfectly. I can heartily recommend the calamari, a good portion and soft as butter with a beautiful crisp batter. The espresso martini was the best I've had and finished the meal perfectly.

Was a bit of a sad experience with no flexibility for us as customers. My girlfriend's mum can't have olive oil and is lactose intolerant. Unfortunately they couldn't offer her anything so she watched us eat. I was excited for oxtail ragu gnocchi. (More the oxtail then the gnochhi). Had two strands of oxtail which was annoying for the price. Gnocchi was superb itself, but wouldn't be back...

Big tick in every box!! We had the pappardelle and agnalotti which were good portion sizes, however the table next to us had massive portions for their gnocchi and Tagliatelle. Pasta was clearly handmade and cooked perfectly. Dessert was a winner, rum and raisin icecream with almond sponge was perfection. Great service and setting. We want to come back!

Damn amazing food. Enough vegetarian options. The polenta chips and mushroom ravioli were amazing, and gnocchi also good. Service and drinks were good. Only 4 stars as there was a mix up with our original booking but they called and fit us in the same night.

Stone cold and literally spicey garlic bread from the overpowering quantity of garlic(oil?). And I love garlic.
Waitress was quite snide about us not ordering starters and generally more food and then messed up the sequence we asked our meals to come out when one of us (a 13yr old) ordered a kids meal and had already finished eating by the time we got ours. Pasta undercooked and wasn't drained so starchy on mine and the food was very expensive for generally just okish quality.

Best and most authentic Italian food I've ever had. Lovely, attentive staff, food comes out quick and the building is beautiful. Pricey but 100% worth it. Don't know what kind of olive oil they use but tastes like it's been made with unicorn tears. Would have licked the plate clean if I could have done so without oooking like a barbarian. Would rate /10

Really great home made Pasta dishes. Food was excellent and service just great. Portion size was just spot on coupled with a starter will leave you full and not bloated. Good atmosphere, even though the Venue is small our seating did not
feel over crowded.

A welcome change from the shocking service up the road at Swings. La Scarpetta is authentic - amazing home made pastas served with true Italian hospitality at its best. The steak and roast spuds also looked awesome.
