This is a highly recommended place if you want Doctors that care about you and your families health, this is the place to choose. My husband and I are patients of Dr Senn Fuller we absolutely love this place and the great health care we receive...the staff is very helpful

My overall experience with the "medical industry" as a whole the past 25 years of my life has been nothing less than horrible! ALL other doctors that I see for other medical conditions are incompetent, ignorant, lack compassion & understanding and constantly focus on the depression & anxiety I suffer from rather than wanting to take their time to investigate the TRUE medical issues I have; they just don't listen!!
Jennifer has "raised the bar" when it comes to professionalism & being passionate about what she does!! She always takes time to listen, is detailed in answering all questions & concerns, is extremely extensive when evaluating what is going on at the time of each visit, is very knowledgeable, meticulous when it comes to her medical advice and treatment plans and is always friendly & compassionate!! She truly cares about my well being!! Thank you Jennifer!!!

Great practice, on time, friendly and listens to their patients. Well run office that takes into account for social distancing and cares about your experience.

The facility was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful I am glad my doctor Fredrick Smith practices with these people. He has been my doctor for many years. I am always confident he and his staff know their business.

Never able to see my doctor as his earliest appointment is always two months out. I've been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour (10am appointment it's now 11:15). The nurse practitioner is not who I'm paying to see. No sense in coming here if I can't even talk to my doctor. Time to find another provider as this place has gone way down hill.

I was very disappointed in how I was taken care of.

This is the best medical facility in town. The physicians are amazing and wait time is at a minimal. The physicians are well seasoned and comes with a wealth of experience. If they can't figure it out, they will definitely not hesitate to make appropriate referrals unto relief is provided.

Very relaxed environment. I was greeted very warmly. The staff were very friendly and made you feel at ease. The facility was very clean and up to date.

As a new patient, I have been very pleasantly surprised at the smooth running processes at Dr. Guram's office. His thoroughness at my first visit was amazing. The fact that he listened to some of my concerns and did tests that indeed found some new issues for me has really been a positive. His focus on wellness also impressed me and I've taken advantage of his weight management program. I've also had a number of health issues happen since I started seeing him and have been impressed every time with the caring and concern of all of his staff that I've had interactions with. The practice came highly recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I made the change.

Made the appointment for 8 AM, arrived at 7:30AM and was getting worked up by 7:40AM. Actually, saw the doctor just before 8AM. Offices were spacious and all staff were very friendly.

Dr. Fuller is the kind of Dr. that I can be open and honest with he REALLY listens to me and never makes me feel rushed. If I can't get in to see him there is always a backup. If you are having a female related issue I highly recommend Stephanie Gunn. Lets not forget those at the front desk who are ALWAYS polite.

I love Dr Gabriel at SC Internal Medicine. The entire group is warm, nice, and answers all my questions. I don't feel intimidated to ask questions if I don't understand something. I can get a same day appointment which is wonderful too! The best part is that they see me at my designated time!! My time is valuable too. Highly recommend them.

Important thing to remember is I have been a patient under the care of the doctors at South Carolina Internal medicine for many years now. I have never had one negative experience with any of the doctors or any of the staff. They always seem to welcome you as if you were part of their family. I always feel that I get the best Healthcare from the professionals there as well. They are concerned about your mind body and soul in its entirety when treating you. The health care is awesome.

I have been going here for over 3 years. I see Dr Sean Fuller, him and his nurses are the greatest. This is the best office and practice in the Columbia/Irmo area. They just built a brand new facility and it s very nice. Staff and receptionist are very professional and friendly. I am satisfied! Thank You SCIM

I had an excellent experience with Nurse Assistant Karina Hurley. She was very professional but warm and quickly diagnosed my issue. She makes an excellent addition to SC Internal Medicine

I have always received great service hear. The lab was backed up during my appointment but I explain that to Covid impacts. I have recommended my children to sign-up.

I recently visited this office and the staff was very friendly..Allison is awesome the best doctor I've met..very friendly and cares for her patients

Dr. Guram has been extremely helpful in treating me for multiple things. As a mom with a busy schedule and working full time he can always see me the same day and adjusts medication as needed. He listens and always asks if I have any questions or concerns to be worried about. Been seeing him for a few months and I think he is a great doctor. This practice has been great dealing with.

Rachel Strange and Nurse Jamie are amazing! I am grateful to them both!! Since Sept of 2019 I have been battling bp issues and it slowly got worse and I was telling Rachel I am simply not feeling the greatest! She listened consulted with the doctors in the practice and offered treatment solutions...scheduled follow-ups and I still wasn t improving after a few months it was determined I needed to see a specialist. I know without a doubt had I not been persistent and had Rachel those not listened to my concerns I would be worse off then I am!
Jamie returns my calls promptly and always try to get me in which soothes my mind because they know my history and I prefer dealing with them vs the urgent care or er!

I overly pleased with my treatment especially during this time of Covid and that being a lot of dr focus or concerns!! I never felt rushed or ignored!!!

I followed my doctor to this practice when he left another. Now I see one of his colleagues and I love her! Stephanie Gunn is compassionate and takes the time to listen to me when I come in for my visits.

We moved from New York Metro region to the Midland of SC. Our experiences with SC Internal Medicine Associate's front office and administration staff, as well as the professional medical staff, especially Dr. Roberts, are excellent.

I have been going to South Carolina Internal Medicine every since they started.My main doctor is Dr. Ben Levinson. Been going to him for thirty two years! He can tell what is wrong with you right on the dot! He cares about his patients, plus you are not a number! One thing about S.C. International Medicine Association they have other doctors in the building! They also labs, XRays and other Drs. Where you don t to drive everywhere to have tests! Everyone there is the greatest!

I love this practice. I see Stephanie Gunn and she is amazing! She is very thorough and takes her time to access and listen to my health concerns. I ve been going to SC Internal Medicine for over 10 years and have always felt completely cared for. I highly recommend this practice!

I have been to SC Internal Medicine Associates twice now to see Karina Hurley, ARNP. Karina is very informative and takes the proper time to explain things. In this day and age, this seems to be increasingly difficult to find in doctors offices. Thank you for your care!

I recently went to see my doctor Fred Smith who has moved in with this practice. Great people at this office! So efficient and helpful. I actually saw Katy, the nurse practitioner on one visit. She was fantastic! Very thorough and helpful! And of course we love Dr. Smith! One thing to be aware of is that you do have to pay a rather hefty fee (maybe $150?) to transfer into this practice. This is not covered by insurance just FYI. Other than that, I would recommend these people and this practice whole heartedly!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Guram for 1 1/2 years. I have no complaints about the care I receive. He is very attentive and always takes an appropriate amount of time with me. He is the first doctor that has ever made me feel "safe" with decisions concerning me. I recommend him to everyone looking, and not looking, for an internist.
As far as billing, I have never been over billed. As a matter of fact, I have always been billed less than I thought I would probably owe.
The office staff is courteous and friendly. My wait time has NEVER been more than 15 minutes.
I will not go anywhere else!

This is a huge facility, equating to too many patients at once, which is not a good thing during this pandemic. Although sick patients are supposedly seen at another location, this place felt like a cattle call. 4 check in windows staffed, but 2 of them on the phone. Dedicated staff to answer phones to avoid long lines and check in delays is needed. NO seating is marked off or signage to maintain social distancing. Only available seats were close to another. The constant flow of ppl within close proximity made me very uncomfortable. I go to the Dr to stay well, not to risk getting sick because of close contact of strangers. Other offices are only letting patients in when it's their check in time via text alert. It's impossible for the dozens of ppl waiting to all have the same appt time. There was no temperature checks. A doctors office shpuld know better! The Library takes more precautions than this place! The Dr, Nurse and Staff are courteous, it's mainly the lack of protocols during the pandemic that reduced my rating from 5 to 3.

Dr Rachel and RN Jaime has simply the best bedside manner a patient can ask for, if I could I'd add another star

The new site is very serene, calm, open and the environment have this wonderful therapeutic feeling. I love the decores that complemented the overall feel. Above all the providers and staff are professionals who love what they do. Thanks for your care.

A 9:00 appointment should have taken much less than the 1 hour it lasted

I love that this practice is not hospital owned and able to make their own decisions regarding things that are good and bad for the practice and patients. Dr. Levinson is wonderful. He takes time to listen and discern the absolute best way to treat your issue. His nurse and MA are equally as wonderful.

I am a new patient and saw Dr. Fowler he was amazing and spent over and hour with me. You can tell he cares and is very knowledgeable. The first Doctor I have had that I liked and respected.

We moved to SC from CT 2 years ago and as senior citizens were worried about continuing health care. We were so lucky and blessed to be referred to Dr. Mandev Guram by our podiatrist, Dr. Methuselah. I had called around a couple of geriatric practices, but no one was taking new patients. Dr. Guram had just finished his residency and joined his father's practice in Irmo. He is just wonderful. He is not a high and mighty, I know everything Dr., but he is down to earth and his willingness to listen to his patients is one of his greatest assets. He is also not afraid to spend the time needed with each patient. All of the specialists that he has referred us to have been great as well. The practice has recently moved to it's own building on Woodrow Street, and it is new and clean. You can always get someone on the phone if you need them and refills are a breeze. I feel that we are getting the best medical care of our lives!

First visit, everyone was friendly and efficient. Dr. Gabriel was kind and thoughtful.

I have been with this facility for 15 years. Excellent service and great customer service from the doctors and nurses.

I started going to SC Internal Medicine about 8 years ago. I started with Dr. Fuller then NP Stephanie Gunn and finally Rachel Strange. While I loved all three doctors, Rachel Strange and I connected and I feel extremely comfortable with her that I sometimes start talking about life events a realize that the is my primary care doctor not my psychiatrist lol. She still lets me carry on and even though she has other patients to see she will listen to everything and I can tell that she truly cares for her patients.before seeing Dr. Strange I had a childhood doctor that I thought cared about my well-being. It ended horrible when he had me an 12 different medications to the point of addiction. I realized when he was doing to me and I promised myself that I would cut back most of the medications. Dr. Strange helped me get off of almost everything in a very healthy way. The dark road that I was traveling down with addiction, Dr. Strange saved my life and I will be forever grateful!

SERIOUSLY?!!?! on hold for over 25 minutes (and counting) to simply talk to a front desk person right now?!!? HORRIBLE customer service

Dr Roberts is very thorough. You can tell he wants the best for his patients.

This practice is very organized and punctual. Every contact with this organization has been very professional to say the least.

I rarely see a physician there, only the NP. However when I kept returning for the same complaint, it was time to see the doctor but his schedule was never available.
I can honestly say that the front desk staff is not only incompetent but rude and has no respect for the patient. Each time I arrived and waited in the 'lunch line", I was held up with the same insurance or bill issues that was cleared the week before. Over and over I told them "no I only have one insurance company, not two", but they argued with me as if they knew more about it than me and with a nasty attitude. This was a constant each week. Enough! A lady in line heard all this and whispered how rude they are to patients and she was picking up her file for another practice. Now I know why they have such a low rating. I wish I never started with this group. It seems to be all about money and extreme overcharges and not the health and wellness of the patient.

Dr. Cynthia Hutson is the entire reason I come here. She is extremely personable and easy to talk to. She s very patient, makes me feel heard and understood and by far the best doctor I ve had the privilege to see! She s simply outstanding!

I highly recommend Cynthia Hutson. She is very thorough, she listens and she doesn't rush you.
SC Internal Medicine is the best.

730am appointment, not called by 825am. I had to walk out. I will update this review if my next experience is better, but why ask me to come in at 730 if you can't see me until 830?
Update: they called and rescheduled, then called me and cancelled the morning of the appointment. So twice now I've gotten up early for an appointment that didn't happen.

Dr. Gabriel is my doctor at SC Internal Medicine, and I don t think you could find a better doctor anywhere. He is so caring and compassionate. I completely trust him and know he truly cares for me.

I would give SCIM 10 stars of I could. I drive 3 hours in one direction to this wonderful group of caring physicians and staff. I see Dr. Sean Fuller, the thing about Dr. Fuller that keeps me driving the distance is his compassion for what is going on with my medical life. He listens very carefully to every detail I have to share and he remembers from one visit to the next exactly what is going on with my health. If Dr.Fuller feels I need to see a specialist he waste no time having his amazing staff getting me lined up. I have never felt like a chart number at SC Internal Medicine, I feel like a person that is truly cared about, while being cared for. That is a rarity in today's world.
I highly recommend this amazing group of caring professionals to anyone.

I went to SC Internal Medicine Associates yesterday. Dr. Fred Smith and his staff were very pleasant and professional. My medical issue was diagnosed, treated and a plan devised to keep it from returning. I will return for a full physical and become a full time patient. I hate driving to Irmo, but I would gladly travel twice as far to receive such good, quality care! Highly Recommend!

No one likes to be sick! But when you are, SCIM can see you same day and help you or refer you quickly to a specialist who can. My family and I have received excellent care provided by this facility. They are THE BEST!!!

South Carolina Internal Medicine is a unique and rare medical facility. For over 20 years (for myself & many family members) they have consistently shown superior medical expertise, professionalism, efficiency, courtesy, kindness and most importantly a GENUINE concern for the patient, as well as the medical condition. They are just a wonderful group of Doctors and staff!

This medical office is very professional in all aspects. Appointment times are performed on time and the employees are very cordial and professional. They are very knowledgeable about each patient's particular situation and is spot on for diagnosis and treatment.

I see Stephanie Gunn, APRN and she is amazing!! She listens without bias, she explains diagnosis & treatments with relatable terms and compassion that is hard to find. I ve seen at least 4 practitioners here and I have enjoyed my experience with all of them. The only reason I saw other people was because they worked me into the schedule same or next day. The front desk is friendly, accommodating, & knowledgeable. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Wonderful experience. Loved Dr. Mandev's bedside manner. So easy to talk to! He really listened to me and took time to get to know me as a new patient, answering all of my questions!

Dr. Surbjinder Guram charged $395 for a basic physical exam and referral to see the podiatrist.

Dr. Roberts treated me well, listened, and has gotten my health concerns back on track. His nurse, Constance was very courteous, as well.

I have been a patient of Dr Fuller for many years following him over to this practice. He listens, observers and has the compassion of what a medical doctor should be, he instinctively understands. Over the years I have rotated between him and NP, Stephanie Gunn, she is amazing and truly listens and walks the journey with you. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, it stumped both Dr Fuller and Stephanie Gunn, as I am in shape, vegetarian and don t drink. They hung in there with me as the mental shock was as tough as getting the diagnosis. I ve been seeing mainly Stephanie the last few months and I don t understand all the bad reviews about not being able to see a doctor if you are receiving premium care that is what matters. They both take excellent care of me, equally of which I am thankful. For the front desk I ve never had any problems, they have all gone out of their way when I have insurance issues, above and beyond actually. As for calling to schedule an appointment same treatment, I travel a lot for work and they go out of their way to work with my schedule. Kindness attracts kindness I believe, what you put out comes back. Also they have an amazing patient portal where you can view all results and notes from labs and past appointments, it is very detailed information, you can even message your doctor/NP right there. I am very satisfied with the care and compassion I receive here.

SC Internal Medicine/Irmo location is hands down the best place to receive nurturing health care from the time you enter their office. I ve experienced nothing less that the highest level of professionalism each time, to include excellent beside manners. These things are important to me because I need to know that my health is important to my provider. Whenever I see my PA, Cynthia Hutson, she is concerned with my well being in all aspects of my life. She has been ensuring I have the highest level of quality healthcare for many many years. Dr. Joseph N. Gabriel and his team are my caregivers and I cannot say enough good things about each one of them. Excellent care, concern for my wellbeing, compassion and personal interest are some of the words that come to mind. In my opinion, the entire office is lovely, comfortable and welcoming from the time you enter the office and talk with one of the receptionists until you are called back to see your doctor or their staff. I do not think you could find a better group of doctors anywhere!!!

Wonderful admin and care staff! They made it into a good visit!

I want to be clear. My family and I absolutely love Dr. Sean Fuller, NP Stefanie Gunn, and Dr. Joseph Gabriel. We actually followed Dr. Fuller from his previous practice. The Nursing staff is always wonderful as well. We have ZERO complaints about the medical services provided.

However, after several years with Dr. Fuller, my family and I are now looking for other providers. The front office is incompetent at best. Most of those you deal with at the front counter are short, rude, and more often than not just flatly wrong. We, and our insurance, have been charged incorrectly more times that I can remember. The front office pressures you to pay anything they can squeeze out of you even when your insurance is CONTRACTED to cover the services 100%. I can no longer support a practice with such piss poor customer service, inaccurate (and seemingly willfully fraudulent) charging, and used car sales tactics.

If you want superb care, long waiting room times, and can tolerate the above business practices, please go here. However, if you and your wallet desire to not be treated like cattle by those at the front counter, look elsewhere. If Dr. Fuller ever decides to go to another practice, we will come back to him with much haste. But one thing is certain, we will not step foot in these halls again.

I saw Dr. Mandev Guram, a compassionate, kind and professional young doctor. His nurse, Melissa, went way beyond the call of duty to try to figure out what my Insurance company was doing to me regarding my meds. She tirelessly worked for 2 days to find answers for me. I am grateful for Dr. Mandev and the Team.

All doctors and staff are pleasant and professional! Extremely happy with Dr. Sean Fuller. He is hands-down the best doctor I have ever had. My wife goes here too and we would both highly recommend SC Internal Medicine.

Good experience, very professional staff, rooms could be a little larger and provide a stay area for extra guest considering it is best to have someone with you when you drive an hour to get there and then have to drive yourself the next morning.
