While the aesthetics & cleanliness of this hotel is 4-5 stars, the service and food ranked 1-2 stars. It doesn't matter how nice it is to look at when your experiences are continuously tarnished with rudeness and poor quality. Our stay was heavily reliant upon on-site dining, which is virtually non-existent. They claim to have a "restaurant", which is a handful of tables around their bar, which is IN the lobby of the hotel. While the menu is small, it offers enough of a variety to think you have options. But we tried 7 different things off the menu, all of which tasted bad or had no taste at all. And this was after wondering around looking for a host, finally being told by the bar tender we could sit anywhere, then waiting for 15min for somebody to come to our table and finally asking the bar tender to send somebody over (mind you, the place wasn't busy). We had to ask for silverware, had to ask for our missing meal, ask for our check, water refills, and more. This was on 3 different visits in 3 days. The bar tending services were just as bad. Twice we had a group of 3 people sit down at the bar and have the tender walk back and forth in front of us no fewer than 4 times, and serve OTHER PEOPLE, before we ASKED to be acknowledged. Then he took our order, made our drinks (on the opposite side of the bar when he had everything he needed on our side) and deliver our drinks all while managing to not make eye contact even once. In 40 years of serious travel, I've never experienced anything like it. Then, when I held onto the bill, mulling over whether or not I wanted to tip, I was pressured to hurry up and sign so he could close out the tab. This was with 2 tenders and 8 customers at the bar. Upon checkout, I was asked "How was your stay?", I answered "I have mixed reviews. There were a couple of big disappointments." The employee responded by saying "So, would you like your bill printed or emailed?" Completely baffled by the entire thing, I asked "Do you have another restaurant on the premises that I missed? This didn't seem like much of one." The employee answered "Yes, right across that hall there's a restaurant." I noted that every time we walked by it, the door was closed and locked. Then he said "Yah, it's only open for breakfast." Ugh.

Incredible staff.

Incredible staff.
Incredible atmosphere.
Great for work events and family vacations.
... Added bonus... Netflix built into the TV; just login and away you go.

The rooms are ok. They're just standard and there's nothing to really rave about them. The resturant however is pretty good :). The pool is ok. There were cups floating in it when I went there to relax. I don't think anyone really pays attention to the pools cleanliness. They give local companies around the hotel a discounted rate if you show your badge. (I think it's just the bigger companies though)

Very nice and well maintained property. Rooms are fantastic, spacious, with nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Excellent food on premises. I'd give it 5 stars, if not for the M-Lounge - we were offered an upgrade, which we took, but were not explained that the bar portion of the lounge (beer on tap) is closed Fridays and Saturdays - exactly when we stayed there! Basically, it turned out to be breakfast only (which was good, in fairness), which made it a bit pricey. Otherwise, we had a great experience, and we'll gladly stay here again on our next visit.

Nice hotel, ok parking garage, was there for a work event. There were lots of different conference rooms to have multiple events happening simultaneously. The parking is charged but luckily the machine was broken so myself and other guests there for a conference did not need to pay.

The room was very good, the bed very comfortable. The food was good, the food in the sports bar (I had a burger, the people I was with had steaks) was really good and not as costly as I had feared. The choices of draught beers was very good, local craft ales and some import beers, too. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I hope to stay there again. Stayed here again this week, seven years later. It is still just as good.

It's a decent hotel, on face. The room was nice, clean, shower pressure was there, generally okay and possibly good. That being said, however: they try to nickel and dime everywhere else - I understand (and dont expect) that hotels cant host complimentary breakfast - it's expensive. But the little in the way of food/drinks offered are heavily priced - small amounts of prepackaged cereal for four ($4!) dollars, a large tea (tazo) for $3.75, which is more than a full box of tazo tea and only fifty cents cheaper than a chai tea from an actual starbucks.

Beyond that - they're under renovation, they charge quite a bit if you need to extend your rooms ($619 per, according to a coach I talked with). Not a fan.

Loved the grounds and location, and the room was immaculate. The lobby area seemed small, like an afterthought, literally walked by it twice looking to check in. Food in restaurant was good, and the spaces we rented out nightly were amazing.
Loved the pop up Starbucks in the morning.

I am a Marriott fan. This feels like and older property... Based on the size of the bathroom and the layout of the other rooms. Livingroom vs bedroom. Guessing it was build in the late 80s. But the furnishings were new and comfortable.

Recently stayed here during a last minute trip through the Bay Area. Received poor communication at check-in regarding incidental charges. Despite requesting the bill be emailed at check-out I had to follow up a few days later in order to receive one and clarify charges. The room was clean but had to request plastic cups because they didn't restock them between guests. I've had better stays and customer service here in the past, but this recent stay left me a bit frustrated. Overall it felt safe regarding COVID-19 practices which was about the only upside.

Best staff around! I became I'll and the executive chef made me chicken noodle soup, crackers and breads basket, and a ceasar salad for my mother! He included several cans of club soda and gingerale. Above and beyond!!

The service was over the top. It made us feel special. It was a great experience, however, things were somewhat overpriced. It's not a place for routine accommodation needs but definitely one for that "once in a while pampering".

The hotel is a bit dated, but clean and is currently going through a remodel. Good restaurants onsite. Great outdoor areas and plenty of room to roam around on property. My only real complaint would be the noise level in the lobby areas. The floor is hard tile and when food service carts or luggage is rolling it is very loud and distracting.

The Marriott in Santa Clara is a staple of you're staying out towards San Jose. It's a standard Marriott with two restaurants, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It's a minute or two off the freeway and just ten minutes walk from Levi Stadium or the trains (ACE). You can't go wrong if you're a Marriott person.

Visually already a bit dated, but the rooms and the hotel were clean, staff courteous and helpful. I am quite satisfied compared to many other hotels. Some things have improved a lot since the last visit a few years ago.

My friend and I were trying to grab dinner before a concert. We looked on yelp and saw recommendations for the wine bar so we went there without realizing it was a hotel. When we got there the wine bar was closed so we ended up eating in their sports bar. The food was mediocre and over priced but the staff was very nice.

I attended my office party here and I really liked the atmosphere. They had good vibes, they served us well and the dealers on the casino tables treated us really well. Loved the experience.

This is a nice hotel with high quality rooms and very comfortable beds. The location isn't terrible but it's also not walkable to any great restaurant-spots. The surrounding areas is however, clean, quiet and a great place for an overnight stay if you're not going to be walking to dinner and drinks.

If you can get past the restaurant being off the lobby of the Marriott hotel, this is a very pleasant venue with excellent cuisine. Just be warned, it is pricy - I seemed to recall that that the least expensive entree was $35. If you are vegetarian you may want to consider elsewhere as they only had one option which was a risotto. The seared tuna was excellent and highly recommended.

First time here... Love the lobby and the M Club was nice! Was able to water even late at night. Breakfast at the M Club was good too. Room was a bit dated, but clean. Bathroom was a bit small but good enough. My room was facing the pool so a bit noisy, but wasn't late into the night and I had a mini balcony. A bit pricey, but normal consider the location. Would come back for business only.
