We just wrapped up our AMAZING trip at the Sandals...

We just wrapped up our AMAZING trip at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian. It could not have come at a better time or been a more enjoyable trip. From the moment we stepped foot on property we were showered with attention, care and everyone went the extra mile to make this special. From a private birthday dinner for my husband, to making sure we had the opportunity to try the Lamb at Bombay s before we left the staff has gone above and beyond (shout out to Winston and Henrique!). The resort is gorgeous and we had the opportunity to do some water activities/excursions during our stay in addition to fun nightly entertainment and delicious food. We went to the Barbados property 2 years ago and this was by far our favorite. Special shout out to Winston (GM), Henrique (Executive Chef), Francillia (Guest Services Manager and the sweetest gem ever), Hetra (Soy Server), Quristal (Gordon s server), Peter (Pool Bar-ask for the Peter Special-blended mango drink, it s amazing), and Nadia at the Front Desk. We were some of the first people to arrive on property and despite the lower occupancy, restaurants/activity/entertainment were all running and available. The staff all wore face masks but that didn t take away from being able to interact in the usual Sandals way! We also got a 90 minute couples massage while there and it was phenomenal. The hotel did a great job of Covid protocols but not once did I feel like we had to monitor/watch what we were doing or like we could not enjoy ourselves. We just enjoyed this special time away. FYI we stayed in the Bonne Terre building level 3 (Club Level). I would recommend the beach view (what we had) as that is the view of the carribean ocean and resort.

The trickiest part was the testing before leaving the US, the entry into St. Lucia (although I m sure they ve ironed out the kinks and sped things up), and the car ride to the hotel (if you are prone to motion sickness, take a Dramamine). For those debating whether or not to go, I would say DO IT (assuming you are comfortable with travel). We loved every minute of it and met some great people while there. Can t wait for our next Sandals trip in 2 years!
