Great live music and service. Portions are generous and elegantly and carefully prepared

The setting right near Camelback mountain is idyllic . You feel like you're in vacation even though you're at home.
Dress too a little. You'll be in for a great date night!

Call ahead and ask if there will be a function or band in lounge and plan your dinner hours before their music starts and ruins your dinner. Fabulous view from dim lit dining room, food in lounge and dining room is delicious, the dining ambiance and menu is as good as the view. Perfect for romantic setting or casual celebrations, wait staff could use some classes. Unfortunately the little time I had in the pool area was ruined by people on their cell phones, there is a sign posted and no enforcement! Its so hot in Scottsdale we had to swim and hike early in the morning so we could not return to the pool. Our room was very nice. Room service doesnt knock, toiletries were not restocked everyday even so; the room was worth every penny. Valet driver told us the upper parking lot was only for valet parking, we couldn't use it because we needed the keys to our vehicle, he made us park in a lot far away, what an inconvenience, then we found out it was NOT true. How can you trust a valet after that? Some salon services can be had for 70 percent off thru groupon, what does that say for salon, overpriced and slow? Public restroom were littered and attendant didn't speak any english. Garbage was hauled thru the lobby and dining area during dinner. Dining room waiter was loud, obnoxious and had not memorized menu. The room, pool, food, tennis court (to hot out now), hiking trails, gym, showers, spa, salon, cleanliness all 5 star. It was the unenforced inconsistency of service I was disappointed in. I think they should hire 5 star caliber employees if they want five stars and pay them accordingly. I would stay there again if all there reviews improve. I like the quiet serenity of sanctuary and it was beyond horrible the night of our anniversary in the dining room. That DJ in the lounge blasting house music so loud my water rippled was completely uncalled for. No one at the resort stepped up to tell him he had to turn it down or even shut the door. Where was management? They were having a wild bartending contest in the lounge and it seemed like they had all their coworkers from town there cheering them on. Surely they can find a better way to bring money in during the slow season. It was anything but sanctuary and ruined our late romantic anniversary dinner. So we finished quickly and celebrated in our lovely room. I hope this reaches the right people who own and run the resort, it's a diamond in the mountain and I would like to return. It's a shame these small things happened but the music was unforgivable.

We were a little leary about the tortilla soup, but it was amazing. Think of a not too creamy lobster bisque but slightly spicy Mexican. The plank steak was perfectly prepared and the sweet potato ravioli with shrimp we're wonderful. My coconut brulee was superb and the other dessert was even better, wish I remembered what it was called. Great view, good service, but the food dominated.

It was, overall, a wonderful experience. The facility was clean and inviting. The ambience was serene and relaxing. The staff was cordial, helpful and professional. The masseuse had excellent hands with just the right amount of pressure. I'm looking forward to my next visit and plan to take a sister/friend to enjoy the same.

Every single person was top notch with their customer service. Pulling up and having Andy greet us, to checking in, spa services were amazing, breakfast with Derek was over the top. We went for a staycation and it was everything we hoped for. We will definitely be returning.

I took my mother here for the Mother's Day brunch at the buffet, and honestly I have not had better food at a similar type of buffet style restaurant anywhere else. The service was phenomenal as well, the waitress would come at just the right time and the manager even came by a couple times. It was great, second year in a row we've been here for Mother's Day (it's my mom's favorite resort in the valley) and most likely will be back next year!

The sun setting as the couple took their first dance, so enchanting. My friend waited a good long while before getting married and this was just a beautiful venue, absolutely beautiful. They could've had it in Manhattan where she works but they had it HERE!

One of the top 10 resorts in Arizona and a personal favorite. A swank little joint where Frank and Dino are alive and well. This place has everything, except stress. Cool your jets Daddy-o this is Sanctuary.

Great time at the resort. The spa suites were all booked, so we ended up with a mountain view room. It was a nice room. The best part was when I ordered breakfast, I wanted eggs benedict, but they only have the Sunday brunch menu on Sundays. Even though they don't normally do eggs benedict on Sundays, the room service manager, Esmerelda, asked the chef and they were able to accommodate my request. Excellent experience as always.

Always a fabulous place for food or cocktails. Located in a neighborhood on the banks of Camelback Mountain, this secluded location is great. Drive slow in Paradise Valley, speed cameras everywhere.

Honestly - the spa is gorgeous. The masuses and estheticians are very attentive. Definitely recommend going early to your appointment. Sorry - definitely recommend booking an appointment first (duh) then going early to your appointment to take advantage of the amenities.

The Elements Restaurant for breakfast/bruch is delicious/flavorful/delightful! They will personalize the dishes however you want - bless their hearts.

Its so close to Camelback Mountain - take advantage and go for a hike. If you re going visiting during the summe months - don t play yourself and make sure you re at the mountain entrance by 6 am at the latest. It will be HOT and you will be glad you went earlier.

If you stay at the Sanctuary - they have a great shuttle service that will drive you around within 5 miles of the hotel - complimentary. Take advantage. There are also golfcarts that can pick you up from your room and transport you around the property. This is especially nice when its 108 degrees.
