Deco Sympa, subdued atmosphere in the evening. Hearty dishes but beware of fragile taste buds Nachos dishes and fajitas are very up. Small flats for the donuts of Haggis input whose breading is not very good
But all in all perfect place for a good evening and a hearty meal without making a huge excess to the wallet

Been a good few times with work for lunch. The food is good filling lunch fare and service is reasonably quick. Guess since we've been back a few times must mean they are doing something right. Price wise it is what you expect to pay in this part of town. If you have food allergies, you may find the menu slightly more limited than other places

Great place with good atmos.. Only thing wrong was they included a vegetarian burger style meal in the main burger menu and guess what, we ordered 2 by mistake! they were however very nice but we felt they should have a separate veggie section on the menu to avoid confusion.

A nice bar with a kind of unique decor and theme to it - massive prints of celebrity obituaries from newspapers might not sound too appealing, but the place pulls it off. Food wise, think birders, wings, chicken burgers in waffles - it's More

I booked a table for me and my partner. We arrived and were shown to our table. Staff could not have been any nicer to us. Nothing was a problem to them. We had same lady (Holly) serve us all night she looked after us like we were VIPs all night. She never stopped smiling and ensuring our comfort. The food was so delicious I was gutted I didn't complete my meal. I was so full I felt like I was going to need to be rolled home. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants fantastic service and food.

Pros - The food portions were huge, 3 of us shared and were totally full and satisfied. Excellent!

Cons - Entrance welcome will be good. We were standing for a while and then moved in on our own to get our seats. For some reasons, no server was there to show us in.

First day in Scotland for us, and we are definitely going to come back before we leave. Highly recommend this place, the Haggis and Bloody Mary was amazing! We finished with a sticky toffee pudding and that's definitely a must also! Enjoy

I was given skooshy tonic in my gin without being asked what I wanted (don't like skooshy mixers) witnessed a member of staff being (just a little) rude to a customer but there was no apparent reason, not impressed

The amount of food is large, and if you say share, it gives you an advance sight. The staff is friendly and the toilet in the basement is also clean. There are so many kinds of beer that it is difficult to choose. However, I would like to take care of table cleanliness more. The table is sticky.

Nice enough place but you will wait an age to get served, even when it's dead. Staff are unable to multitask and if you're anything like me or the couple standing next to me or the 2 girls on the other side of the bar you will get fed up waiting and leave thirsty with money in your pocket to take elsewhere!

The staff were nice and the wine list pretty good. I love the retro style lighting in the windows and the big central bar but I have to say the bar snacks we had were just awful. Really greasy goujon things and haggis balls in a ton of oily batter and not very exciting chips.
Good for a quick drink as its really central but definitely wont try eating again.

This pub is not only well visited by locals, but also tourists come in there. A large beer / whiskey selection makes it hard to decide for something. I decided then but for a native type of beer. It tasted supi.
Also the food can be seen, a is always. Well worth a visit in this pub

Actually one of the best burgers I've had in ages, nice one, and fair drink selection too. The service staff was excellent on the night. Bit annoying it's so popular because of their room hire, but I suppose that's not their fault is it.
