Such a beautiful opera house. I've been there many time and am still fascinated by how beautiful the building and interior are.

This is a beautiful place. The views upstairs are amazing.

Saw Elektra by SF Opera. A beautiful facility and an amazing performance. The Opera is not my favorite. The music and the performers we're exceptional, but the story was much too dark for me.

The Nutcracker was memorable my kids bring it up daily! Staff were friendly and helpful.

We saw the San Francisco International Dance Festival. Although our seats were in the upper balcony we had a great view of the performance. Our tickets were via will call as I won them on Bartable. The line moved very quickly and we received our tickets with ease. It was a fabulous performance

My hubby and I are fans of the WMOH, but tonight after seeing Shen Yun at WMOH we are very disappointed that such a respected and renowned performance space would continue to welcome a performance that is nothing more than a heavily disguised vehicle for religious propaganda. WMOH, please, respect your community and welcome in artists who can truly represent the "5,000 years of Chinese culture" that Shen Yun obviously does not. At the very least, if you continue to welcome Shen Yun at the WMOH, then demand more transparency in their advertising eg "created and designed by Falun Gong". I have no problem with religious freedom, but if its packaged as a cultural acrobatic show at WMOH with no mention up front of religious affiliations, it makes a fool of WMOH and fools of the folks (like me) who paid good money for a ticket.

Came here to see Shen Yun, had a grest time, loved the architectural features of this building, ushers, greeters and clerks were really nice with great manners.

Limited restrooms, insufficient time between acts for the facilities they offer. This is only a problem because there is no reentry to the theater after performance starts. Worse if you are in a wheelchair and are forced to go down stairs via the elevator this adds significant time to your need.

We went to watch the Nutcracker. We got balcony seats which were very high up. Luckily we brought our own binoculars since we were so far away. It would be nice if they had free binoculars to borrow. The inside is very elegant and rustic.

Beautiful old opera house. I saw the nutcracker here, and it was was great. The view, even from the balcony, was excellent.

This is one of the great opera houses, and great opera companies, of the world. I've been coming here for more than 20 years and am still amazed by the quality of the performances. Yes, there are occasional times that aren't as good as others but in general, in my experience, opera here is as good as anywhere in the world. This week's Wagner 'Ring Cycle' is a case in point.

Always a pleasure to visit. Beautiful building and perfect atmosphere for enjoying the ballet.

Beautiful architecture. Good acoustics. Every seat is a good seat. SF Ballet's production of the Nutcracker is enchanting. A seasonal delight for all ages.

We saw A Midsummer Night's Dream danced, the setting is inspiring and perfect for such a beautiful ballet

Great accoustics, venerable architecture is a plus for the eye, but a minus for convenience... narrow seats with skimpy leg room, food and alcohol in different lines, gift shops cramped and crowded. Adequate comfort for average Opera, but an ordeal for a whole Ring Cycle.

A brisk walk from Civic Center BART, world-class singers awaiting you. You can't beat it!

Saw Carmen on Wednesday in this lovely opera house, the performance was stunning and the atmosphere and ceiling were just as spectacular!

Surprisingly large venue. Very easy to see from any orchestra seats.

This place is a truly grand house! First time here, to see Shen Yun. Amazing show!

The building is lovely. Went to see the Nutcracker. As three grown unsophisticated men going to the ballet, it was sorta boring after the first act. All the movies and adaptations only cover the Mouse King part that ends at the end of the first half. The second half is Clara touring the world. It was worth the experience. We sat in center balcony and had a great view and could see all the patterns and synchronization of the dancers. I can not speak for side balcony.

Seasonal favorites like the Nutcracker we love to see Don Quixote and most recently Frankenstein. The theater and all it s common areas are quite impressive. Enjoy.

This place is so magical and the staff is helpful. The buffet looked fresh. The bar made me a whiskey fresh lemonade drink was strong and good.

Very clean, organized, some of the chair needs to be change other than that it was a good place to watch some shows.

The building is awesome. The performance is very organised.

Came with the Girl Scouts to see The Nutcracker. Beautiful performance in a beautiful setting.

It was wonderful; the costumes, the props, the acting, and the dancing was all wonderful. Very beautiful it was.

The ballet was "Don Quixote". Beautifully performed. Interesting to compare to the novel which I had just read recently.

I love this opera house. Even the farthest back seats are exceptional! Hint: students get discounts!

The grand and classic opera houses will never go out of style! Gold ornaments and brass lanterns add to fancy style! Impressive on a date or special occasion. Full restaurant downstairs and several bars. A visit is a must

Beautiful and historic place a quick walk from the Civic Center BART station. Many shows throughout the year and a great place to take photos.

Beautiful house but tix are pricey. Seats not the most comfy. Loved SFB.

Have been going here for the SF Nutcracker every year since I was 3 years old and it is amazing every time. Just be sure to know you need to dress up.

We've been going to the WMOH for two decades now and we still think it's a beautiful opera house. We've been to a few other opera houses in the world and have seen some that are more beautiful and more ornate, but the WMOH is still an elegant venue for any event (good or bad). Chairs and some other amenities could be upgraded, but the same can be said about many other opera houses. For example, I love the Met Opera House, but the building itself is very dated, some modern architectures just don't stand the test of time.

The opera is as magnificent as those in Europe but it s special in its own right. The largest in the US, the aluminium chandelier is unique and designed to withstand the shakes and rolls of SF s notorious earthquakes. Beautiful waiting halls and elaborate tapestries adorning the walls

The main bar is downstairs. Huge, fast, and has restaurant too

Wonderful! We saw the Nutcracker around Christmas time and sat in the "dress circle" upper level. All seats have a great view in this theater. Easy 5 min walk from 'civic center' bart station. There are a few cute gift shops and a beverage/snack station on each floor. People tend to dress up formally and enjoy being festive.

SHEN YUN PERFORMANCE AT OPERA HOUSE IS WONDERFUL!!!

Great fun at Deck the Halls Christmas program. Seats were great, my grandson thoroughly enjoyed the show. Everyone was dressed up, lots of sparkles and the kids on best behavior. Having characters interact with the children was wonderful as were the free Xmas cookies at the end!

Brunch at the Cafe was perfect. The ballet was exquisite. Five stars all around.
