Great place to stay in gaslamp. This Marriott is huge and the staff really focus on customer service. For food within the resort, there is a restaurant, wine bar, small cafe, pool bar, and a starbucks. The bar area has a huge selection of good whisk(e)y. The pool area has fire pits and plenty of seating. The fitness center has many stationary machines as well as free weights. Rooms are modern and clean. Within a short walk from the resort is the convention center, sea port village, and Gaslamp. We will definitely be staying here again.

Very nice rooms that are very spacious. There's a restaurant on site & a few places to grab snacks. Close to downtown but by the water. Parking is a bit hefty but if you go to the restaurant they'll validate it

The room cost $550 a night and they wanted $14 more for WIFI? How do hotels still get away with this. Every Air B&B has free WIFI. The HD channels didn't work. The view is not worth this value.

I had checked into the Marriott Marquis Marina. Late that evening, I heard my door trying to be opened! I heard chaos in the hall... I looked through the peephole and saw a maintenance man trying to take the door off of the hinges! I called downstairs to the night manager who informed me she had no idea what was going on! I asked her for help! Her response was WHO IS THIS!! Worst night of my life! I stayed awake all night in terror! Come to find out, the customer service rep upon check in gave me the key to the room I was in, but, in her computer she typed in different information!

Awesome place to stay. Came here on points, the hotel staff was super friendly at check in, they upgraded us to an amazing room overlooking the marina and pool on the 25th floor. The pools could use a few more chairs, but it was a busy weekend. Great resort and vacation atmosphere close to home. Will definitely stay here again.

Cool.

We attended a wedding reception at the Marriott Marquis San Diego. The facilities were nice and the staff was excellent. The banquet was away from other guests so we were never bothered. Be careful though. Self parking is $15! I would recommend this hotel and wouldn't mind being there again.

The room had a leak in the plumbing so it smelled like a swamp. They eventually fixed the leak at 11 pm and then the carpet was wet until checkout. Plus, the wifi didn't work the entire time at the conferece hosted at the hotel so the trip was a total waste of time and money. We travelled to San Diego to go to a social media conference but there was no internet connection. They should have comped the room just because of the wet, smelly carpet but then to have the expensive conference ruined too, that was too much. They gave everyone at the conference one free night, next time. No, they didn't deduct it from our bill, they gave us a lousy voucher that expires in a year. So how many people from around the country will fly back to San Diego to spend their one-night voucher? None. What a great gesture, Marriott.

The convention space is state of the art! I work at a hotel and this convention space makes ours look like garage that's on fire! This is the best most state of the art convenient space in a hotel I've ever had the pleasure of attending a meeting in!

My fiance and I went to pick up the rental car from the Hertz inside the hotel and were disappointed with the customer service. The guy at the counter gave us attitude once our credit card got declined because we hadn't activated the travel settings on it. After that he tried to sell us a tank of gas, adding an extra 50$ to the total, when the tank is only 14 gallons. It was constant attitude and eyerolling with every option we declined.

While my sister was attending a conference in town, she stayed at this hotel. I visited during the day. The rooms were very clean. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Beware that the room fridge is really just a cooler and only goes down to 46 degrees, making it somewhat useless. The prices downstairs for food and drink are more than I wanted to pay, but there is a Ralph's two blocks away.

Beware! They tried to charge us 25.00 extra per day on top of daily rate when on the website booking it was 25.00 charge per the entire stay! Not really friendly and you can hear others in their rooms. Not worth it go to the Hilton gaslamp very friendly no hidden fees and you re greeted every time you enter and leave with smiles too!!!

Perfect location for a wide variety of activities. We were in town for a college bowl game, but this beautiful hotel was right next to the convention center and within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. Going to San Diego? Try this well priced beautiful hotel!

I had an incredible view from my room! But other than that, the hotel was kind of underwhelming. All the restaurants were all subpar. If you're going to park at the hotel (pretty expensive), note there are spots in the garage and spots outside. The spots outside are larger and easier to navigate, especially for a large vehicle.

Great location and close to seaport village. The amenities in the room were a bit lacking though and not what I would have expected for this level of hotel. Specifically, toothbrushes and shaving tools had to be requested.

We had an excellent staycation at Marriott Marquis! As San Diegans it gave us a great base to do all the downtown/harbor "stuff" we just otherwise never do! All service was excellent. Lily C at the front desk was so welcoming on arrival and somehow landed us a room with a view of the city AND harbor for our anniversary. A sweet touch on a great stay. Make the most of the resort amenity fee! Easy to recoup by hitting the in-hotel Starbucks and taking a quick kayak around the marina! We loved getting out there!

This hotel has breathtaking views and the rooms have been nicely updated. Walk outside and there is a path right along the water that is great for running/Walking. Also has huge pool and hot tub.

Great Hotel, Great location close to everything. We had the cityview room with a balcony on 17th floor in North tower which was great didnt need to upgrade to Bayview room. Would definitely stay here again.

Yes the room was nice, the pool warm and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff helpful and gracious......but most noteworthy was our experience in the marina restaurant with our wonderful server Michael. With and infant and tired 4 year old in tow we risked lunch. Michael made it all easy with his accommodating yet efficient service. Thank you Marriott for having such a great staff.
